I have seen enough! Keep Rangnick into the office and give him the contract! Put pen to paper and sign it! He has what it takes to run this football club and he bleeds United. His mentality is needed at this club and I trust in Rangnick. WE ARE MANCHESTER UNITED!

The more high pitched Keane gets, the more brutally honest he gets…. Can’t disagree with Souness either!
Raw emotion mate. The guy was in pain telling the truth about the club he loves.
He gets high pitched because of his Cork accent. Some of the funniest people in the world come from there, such a wonderful sense of humour. I love his honesty, especially on UK tv as the English commentators don't seem to be allowed speak honestly about Maguire. Don't condone threats on Maguires life though, this does not belong in football. Couldn't agree with you more, complete honesty from and Irishman and a Scot. When only dogs can hear him we are fucked!
I'm a Liverpool fan. But seeing Roy having to criticise Utd week in week out, because they don't give him anything good or positive to talk about is sad. Imagine playing for a winning team for years and having to analyse them at their worst for months. I'd hate my job.

As a Liverpool fan I fudging love it. We've been torn to bits by the media and fans in the past! Their turn now.
When Souness is feeling pity and is worried, thats when you know United are in deep deep trouble.
tbf souness has always been fair to us in these interviews especially considering the history. I have bags of respect for him calling out Pogba from day one.
It stopped being funny after United's loss to Watford a few months back in 2021(I would preface this by saying "As a Liverpool fan" which I am, but no, this is just a mess regardless of allegiances). Hell, it stopped being funny when the owner's poor practices reared their head back when they sacked Mourinho in 2018, and Van Gaal before him (though Van Gaal's attitude and ego are what got him kicked from Bayern in 2011 so make THAT what you will). Poor Mentality + Poor Management = Poor Performances.

The players have always been the issues. They and their agents hold far far too much power.

Mourinho was actually the best choice for coach that time. Coming 2nd is not a joke. But players are being far too choosy tbh instead of adapting to the tactics and strategies. Mourinho may have been conservative as a coach but he was able to get results.

You only have to look at when Leicester won the league. They had a squad of players who were a unit and wanted to play. Realistically they weren't a particularly great squad but they had the team spirit and desire to go out and put their heart and soul into it.
I get your point but the stars also aligned when they won.....huge amount of luck, Vardy had the season of his life, no-one knew how good Kante and Mahrez was hence them moving on to better clubs. Great for football and I loved them winning it but it was a freak event
It's only labelled a freak event because they were fighting for their lives the season before. The culmination of effort, drive and determination exposed just how soulless the prem is which is why Leicester won it for football. People are tired of the same old top 4 contenders. @@whysoserious6641 Why so serious?
Yeah bought in 2005 and how many league titles and champions leagues did United win after that? You can't keep blaming the performances on the field on the owners, the manager and more importantly the players themselves have to shoulder the blame. Bring in a manager who knows what he wants and give him time to build the team he wants instead of this ridiculous oh we've lost a couple of games so we need to sack the manager. Stability is what's needed and discipline coupled with the right player recruitment. Look at the players United have bought since Sir Alex left and how many of them have been a success.Di Maria waste of money, Shweinsteiger wom, Sneiderlin wom, DePay wom, Sanchez wom, Blind wom, Maguire wom, Pogba wom, the list goes on. Then we bought players we didn't need like Sancho and Dan James plus Van de Beek gets overlooked and sent out on loan. Cavani constantly on the injury list along with Bailey, Varanne and Jones. Then you have player's contracts being renewed unnecessarily like Jones and Bruno. The background staff are simply not up to the job either. All of this has happened in just 9 years and it will take a massive turnaround to get United back to where they were under Sir Alex if that's even possible. Changing the owners won't put it right and don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of the Glazers but I think the blame needs to be focused in the right places.
Keane and Souness come from an era where playing and competing for trophies was the priority for most players. Now they can stat-pad, boost their social media following and negotiate higher contracts after 1-2 years, move on and accept higher paychecks. Winning and playing the long-term game is not their priority.
Well these newcomers are killing the game of football
We have had our tough times for decades even.. But I never felt that our lads have "given up" like this Utd generation

Even as a Liverpool fan, I am really surprised it's that bad for United. We all excepted things to go south when the greatest manager of all time retried, but to be this bad is really shocking. Liverpool had really bad players and we suffered a lot from Rafa's days until Klopp arrived, from your Jovanovic, Konchesky, Aquilani, Assaidi, Poulsen and even Balotelli and I literally wouldn't know what side would turn up and always expected us to either lose or draw every week... BUT, when it came to North West Derbies, Merseyside derbies, big games or even European Nights, you just know the team would turn up, give 150% and cause an upset. I just don't see that from any player at United apart from Ronaldo.
It's going to take few years to get United back where they belong.
Exactly! I grew up with that era of Liverpool when we were coming 7th or 8th every year and even the signing of Andy Carrol seemed exciting compared to some of the players we had. The similarities between Utd and Everton is uncanny. Utd have a slightly “higher” class of player so they’re further up the table compared to Everton. But the constant management changes awful recruitment of both clubs has been a disaster for years.

I’ll admit I’ve been out of the loop on most Man U games but I can’t be surprised at how bad Man U have been this season. How are they 5 or 6th yet perform like they’re in the bottom half? The players have no passion. It’s like either they’re treating like a casual kick about or they’ve grown to hate the sport they grew up supposedly loving.

Watching Man United is just painful. Throw any U23 squad onto the pitch and they would lose by 5 goals, but at least they would be a joy to cheer for.
@@ComradeOgilvy1984 agreed
I grew up as a Liverpool fan always watching Man U take the league, while Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal would fight for 2nd. United were always 'the big match' for everyone, the greatest club for years, and one of the greatest clubs of all time. Now they're a shadow of that glory, fallen to the point its almost laughable.
It doesnt matter how much money you throw at a team when you waste it, when there's players who don't synergize with the squad for whatever reason (ego normally), or when the manager panders to players who have no place in top flight football.
When old whiskey nose retired that was always a massive possibility, and I'm glad it is laa
Just compare them to chelsea, they're willing to admit their mistake with Kepa and (so far) they're benching Lukaku even though they're both their most expensive signings in their respective position. Now look at United attitude with mr. Fridge. Just one thing can says a lot about a club.

Souness is spot on , Keane's response is gospel, this man utd team is absolutely dire, poor and no character, the pair are spot on
‘There’s no soul to this team’ - the absolute reason we are so bad. I don’t mind losing a game but I can’t believe we start EVERY game wondering how poor we will be.
The players need to be held accountable though. The blame can't all be on the managers and the owners. At the end of the day, it's the players on the pitch who have to do the business and perform.
It's easier and cheaper to remove the manager, the players know that and can down tools to have them removed.
Disgraceful.
More passion from Keane and even Souness in this video than the entire Man U squad have had this season.
When you hear Roy talks like that, you realize how far UTD has sunk in to rubbish 💔

Utd are absolutely shocking, and Liverpool are absolutely mesmerising. It's that simple, Liverpool and City are on another level to any teams in my life time in English football (I'm 43). The consistency levels for both these teams over the last 4/5 seasons has never been seen.

Bruh he makes good tv with "angry moment" but do you ever see him offer any tactical insight? 4:25 - 4:45 is somewhat heartbreaking. I'm a Liverpool fan and not a fan of Roy at all but you can easily feel his pain there. @@samuelstevens248
I have been a fan since 1974 and I beg to differ, it's just the best Liverpool side that you have seen!
Our team today use many players throughout the entire season but I remember when the same 11 players would start every game in a whole season in every competition, today's players wouldn't keep up with the same season long commitment, and the players back then didn't tire out and require resting.
The old European Cup took more games to reach the final back then too than today's Champions League and the majority of those same players won that cup three times each with the odd one winning it four times, plus, to even play in that competition you couldn't be second best, third best, fourth best or even fifth best team in the country like today, you had to be THE BEST in the country and you could only achieve that by winning the league by playing full on football all season long and beating everyone you played and just look how many times Liverpool's players achieved that between 1974 to 1985.
At one point Liverpool set the record for unbeaten run in the league from December 1978 until February 1980 with 63 unbeaten games played, and yet the later Liverpool team from 1985 to 1991 was deemed to be even greater but sadly as a result of Heysel in 1985 they never got to play in Europe but again this was still a time in which the same players would pretty much start every game in an entire season.
To be perfectly honest and in all fairness it is wrong to compare eras against each other when the game today is no longer the same game that was many years ago, competitions have changed, the amount of games has changed, many rules have changed and today's players wouldn't have lasted very long years ago, tactics have changed and the use of squads has changed, nothing about today's game can be compared to the game as it once was, they are like two totally different sports now.
Today's team is truly great, but so too was the teams managed by Shankly, Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish, you can't really call today's team the greatest ever without totally depreciating those teams and managers from bygone ages.
@@redlioness6627 well I'm only 33 so it's a bit difficult for me to go back any further. Not really my fault, can't help the time I was born. So yes I can only go on what I know and what I remember, so I will stand by my comment
