If you have listened to Grumps over the years you can tell how much Arin cares about the production. He's ridiculous sometimes with the mics and how pristine it all has to sound, they've also recentlyish got a producer watching them play to keep them on track with time and walkthroughs. He puts on the "slobby idc" act pretty well when he's recording but the amount of effort going on behind the scenes is pretty clear.
Plus it makes it even better when Ally actually gets involved in the episode like during their "I'm on Observation Duty" Episodes. At some point in time their should be an "Ally & Dan Episode"
Ally was a fantastic addition to the teams You don’t even realize she’s there when they don’t want you to But when she makes herself known it’s almost always a good thing
What has half-killed the channel is how PG it has become. I understand censoring words, but they've toned down so much of the comedy that it just doesn't feel the same. You can see it in the viewcount. I don't doubt at all how much Arin cares about the content quality, but stifling their own brand of comedy so they can make a few extra dollars really takes away from the final product.
What sets them (Game Grumps) apart to ME is the harmonius dichotomy between Arins unending silliness and energy and Dans wonderful authenticity and storytelling. That plus their genuine friendship bringing out the best in one another.

Then ofc when the cameras are off Arin clearly has a lot of care for grumps. It's the most formal informal show ever. You go in and get exactly what you expect and sometimes even more. No literally, 99% of the time when I put them on, it's not to really watch the game they're playing, it's just to have background noise while I play games on my own. It really does feel like having someone else in the room and it makes me feel less lonely.
My son turned me on to the Grumps 3 years ago and I'll be 60 in a couple months. I can relate to both of them so well. I enjoy their refusal to remember anything and inept button pushing and strive for it in my daily life.
The funny thing is that Arin does, in general, give a shit lol atleast compared to other youtubers I've seen (not saying that's bad, sometimes being a youtuber requires that attitude)

They can’t believe people can change over a period of time, and people can’t seem to understand that Game Grumps is an improv comedy show first and a let’s play channel second; they aren’t trying to be amazing at what they play, they just use it as a source for making comedy.
Dan and Arin did have a LOT of practice with improv way before Grumps started, so it makes since that the combination of that training and the fact that they don’t give a care about how suggestive their jokes can get, it sets a new kind of bar for gamers. It’s kind of inspiring in a way
