    Aisha Greyrat is Rudeus' sister, and daughter to Paul and Lilia after their affair. In this video I take a deep dive to explain all about the character of Aisha, including an analysis of all the major events that happen to her in Mushoku Tensei, her jobs, her romantic life, and even the events of the controversial deleted Aisha and Ars chapter of Redundancy. This is the second part of my video series about Norn and Aisha, so check out Norn's video too!

    I can relate to your views on school. I was never very academically gifted, but I was decent at art. As a kid, most of my family praised me for my creativity and that led me to think that I didn't need to learn how to do it any better. That mindset was poisonous, and despite trying to get into art classes in high school, I got depressed when I didn't see any further improvement in my drawing skills and eventually dropped it all together. In the last decade, I've doodled here and there, and I have made some improvement since my high school years, but I can't help but feel that if I had applied myself more I'd be much further ahead now. It's demoralizing, honestly, and I promised myself I would not do this to my future children.
    I hate that you're going through such a hard time, but don't lose hope. This too shall pass.

    In recent episodes, rudeus says that "aisha not going to school could limit aisha's life perspectives" something like that. And he was right, although because Aisha always demonstrated great capabilities, they ended up letting their guard down and neglecting her complexities... which unfortunately I
    took until that event. As much as people don't like this resolution for Aisha and in fact it's a bit bitter, I still think it's good because it makes sense with the character and her progression

    I just found out about Aisha's story about ars and well it made me like her character more. She always was complex and had a sort of sad but lucky upbringing. It made sense how she ended up and even though she could have a life that was simple nevertheless she still ended up pretty happy and I'm glad for her.
    P.S I know the family loves ars but from what I know he gets beaten up more often than he supposed.

  • @Kurogane3

    She is one of the most tragic characters in the story. A cautionary tale about grooming and how it warps a child's mind.
    One of the things I find interesting is how, some time after reading the chapter, I went back to the beginning and started noticing just how much we overlooked when it came to Aisha.
    Like isn't it weird that after volume 1 where she is an infant, the next time we see her, she is already in a maid outfit "working for the family" well before even 10.
    Lilia's grooming is presented in front of us with the usual "ugly-realistic" mushoku style...but just like Rudeus, we the viewer noticed this too late into the process.
    I'm glad the redundancy chapter is still canon. Depriving Aisha of this conclusion to her character story would be akin to ruining the character.

    • @Ricardo_Rick
      @Ricardo_Rick Před 2 měsíci +1

      it's not even the grooming since Aisha grew over it about rudy, mostly a heavy inferiority complex caused by Lilia and Zenith's mother, but yeah, Aisha deserved to be happy

    • @ivorydragon
      @ivorydragon Před 2 měsíci +3

      @@BQD_Central what theyre talking about is how aisha was groomed by lillia in her childhood to want to serve rudeus, give her all to him since lillia saw them owing their lives to him.
      It instilled an inferiority complex in her that was never really resolved or properly addressed and rudy only saw it for the first time when he allowed norn to live in the dorms. I dont believe it was addressed again afterwards so she basically kept it all in that entire time which ultimately lended in warping her view with regards to relationships and her own feelings

    Moar Natalie content for ma fix! One of the best aspects of this series imo is the relatability of most of the characters. All of them feel like real people, unlike in most other anime. They're multidimensional and don't simply have one thing they do or say over and over. I love the dynamics between a lot of the characters and i definitely relate to the issues between rudy's siblings and how complicated things get between them, even when it seems rather simple on the outside. Another great video!

    It's funny how everything in the story seems like things would fall apart without Rudeus but turns on it's heel to show that Paul, at least, gets along just fine on his own wits and in the case of the labyrinth dungeon - actually comes out more positively for Paul without Rudeus' involvement.

    I wholly agree with your "last bit" analysis. I see Nanahoshi making the summoning circle keyed to Playback Miko's power. Lara as Prophet saying summon Akihoto as a Hero . Aisha coordinating as Magic Knight.
    All this MUST happen to ensure Rudy's soul is summoned, Nanahoshi is summoned, and Akihito's life is saved, granting the wish of the Miko. Then they can kill Laplace and help Orsted pay a little visit to Hitogami.

    In another loop that Orsted experienced, Rudeus is a stillborn. So when Zenith get oregnant with Norn and Lilia accidentally (or perhaps not) get pregnant with Aisha. I think they decided to have Lilia stay because of the chance that Norn could be another stillborn.
    So in the other loop case. They are still a harmonious family.
    In Rudeus loop this become a problem, because now with Rudy the family does not need a backup plan in case Zenith deliver another stillborn.
    So Rudy doing what he did actually put the family back to the other loop course.

      It’s not just in another loop is in every loop before this one
      Also i could be wrong but I think Zenith let Lilia stay because she couldn’t bring herself to let an innocent child die we saw she was willing to travel in winter after zenith gave birth almost guaranteeing their deaths. Zenith faith also shouldn’t have changed compared to this loop so she would still be upset about the cheating

    making it highly risky for some , and it just stuck as folk advice.
    With Rudy , been generally unknowledgeable about women in his past life just not questioning it .

      Ah... the the idea is that people are unconciously activating battle aura during the deed?
      I think its unlikely that actually happens, at least enough to matter. When we consider that Rudeus and presumably anyone else with Laplace factor cant use it and the fact his pelvis would be shattered by Eris if she did I think it is just a superstition in the end. Interesting to think about though.

    • @NatalieXHunter
      @NatalieXHunter  Před 2 měsíci

      I think it's more just that that probably was a belief old timey people had and he's using a pseudo-medieval setting, but Rudeus would think that either because a) he just doesn't know anything about that stuff, or b) it is taboo in Japan. Either works, I'm just not sure which was the author's reason.

    I started reading the novels again, right until the first chapters in volume 13. which would probably shortly after the second cour of season 2?
    Anyway, I was actually surprised how well this story was told
    The whole arc, from the beginning of Turning point 3, to the end of novel 12, was way more sad then it had any right to be.
    And I KNEW what was coming. Fucking hell.

    Excuse me standing on my soapbox here, But can we talk about how wrong Zenith was? She knew before she got with Paul that he was sleeping with multiple women. I understand why she wanted monogamy, because of her religion, But that is the danger of cherry picking aspects of a religion. Paul was not a follower of Millis, and the idea that she would hold him to that standard is ridiculous. That is why her family wanted to have an arranged marriage for her, She lost out on the privilege of having monogamy when she abandoned her family and religious customs. Again, you can't cherry pick aspects of religion and go out in the world and expect people to adhere to that standard. She should carry alot of blame for Lilia and Aisha's inferiority complex. Lilia should have had equal treatment when she married Paul.

      @@ElijahtheSaint Paul still said yes and he did keep that promise for years, so it was still something he agreed upon.
      Zenith was honest and upfront that she considers monogamy sacred and Paul willingly accepted to have that type of relationship.
      Most of Lilias guilt comes from the fact that she made Paul cheat on her, so the major reason why Zenuth was hurt was that Paul and Lilia had betrayed her trust.
      So even if Zenith shares some of the blame, the majority of it still lies with Paul and Lilia who betrayed Zeniths trust and went behind her back .
