Good stuff Captain Jack. Now youâre in the conditions that I have to deal with over here in the gulf.. poor visibility and sharks lol. Those mangrove snapper l harvest are worth it though.

Slightly rough Jack, when I was your age I'd have swum out there, no wet suit, knife in my teeth and killed a shark for supper. But they don't make young guys like that anymore I guess.

The experienced guys were right ... do go out!! But you did make the best of it, and that is a small boat you guys were in in some nasty weather. Low vis scares me just watching! Old man now a chicken.

That weather right there is the straw that broke the camels back for my commercial fishing career. I was out of Carrabelle Fl at the time. It had been blowing like that for weeks when I ran out of money and had to go fishing. I caught something like 400lbs in about four hours of fishing but my love for fishing was gone. I had turned it into a job. As I watched that I could feel the wet cold and the pounding of my body like I was there. Fâ that !
