thought the subframe had to come down on the scenic, mr clutch put one in my 1999 1.6 scenic years back im sure it had to be dropped!. cracking job as a;ways mate!!!!!!
I never thought of leaving the battery box in wish I had known that when I done mine Surprised you got away without having to drop the subframe mine was a pain glade I watched your video good job
I agree - I owned a blue one for nine years and it was a pleasure to own, drive and maintain. Except for the leaking sunroof which I sealed up with bathroom sealant.
One would argue that older cars are simple to work on but this car proves different. What an absolute cock of a work this car is, respect tp this guy for doing it, i dont even have the nerve to go through this video. Dude needed to remove whole engine bay to get to the clutch holy shit. How the fuck do you even manage to put all that crap back together, even if i filmed and watched the vid i would 100% have extra parts.
same amount of work for renault clio mk2 1.4, 1.6 models (2001-2005), although the 172, 182 clios would have an even bigger engine so even less room to work on so dropping subframe on one side would be required I would think
Wow kev, nice one bud,,this is the same car as my good freinds car ,a scenic 2001,1.4,,,,16v,,,authentic,thisll be a fantastic help bud,,thankyou loads, stephen😊😊
Thanks for the video Kev ! I work on Renault's of that generation (I have 2 Scenic !) and this video could be very useful for me in future. You can make Subaru clutch video and you are done ! :D
Did you ever change the clutch on Mitsubishi Colt (2004+)? I went through most of your videos, you do an amazing job, can't seem to find my car however. Keep up the good work.
Hi, this is a very informative video, as I have 2001 Renalut Scenic 2.0 as well (same as the one in the VDO). One quick question. My 2.0 liter, I inherited from my parents, but there was a new gearbox installed and some parts need to be screwed back and all that. I have almost finished, but now struggle to find the clutch cable hook-in point at the pedal. It's there is none. Can you help me with a video on that?
Great work! Love to see a Renault again. Was it boring to take the subframe off or just room enough? I was expecting another CSC but there isnt. Thanks for the video!!
Thank you. There was just enough room with a little bit of wiggle to get it through. But I think next time I get another one I’ll definitely slacken that side subframe a little bit as to make that little bit of room for some extra work space.
Hey mate, Do you use the M18 mid torque or the High torque. Ive just ordered the mid torque but not sure if i should have gone for the high. I tend to just do basic diy stuff and the odd bigger repair on the drive.
Nice job done! If i need to replace gearbox, it is neccessary remove subframe, or can be whole gearbox removed away from car this way? My gearbox output shaft lost splines, i have replacement prepared for day it stop working. Thank you! Btw nice camera view, very understandable and good explained even without words...
Çok çalışkan ve başarılı bir insansın. Tebrik ediyorum.Yeni Baskı balatayı takarken dikkat etmemiz gereken bir ayar var mı? Triger kayisinda olduğu gibi
Hi Kev Do u know if it’s approximatively the same work on Clio 2 (1.5dci) ? I mean, is it possible to do the job without removing the subframe ? Thanks dude
Dlaczego odkręcał drugą prawą półośkę ? przecież i tak skrzynię odsunął w stronę lewej ? Poza tym szacunek, na leżąco, bez kanału, jest dużo ciężej. Pozdrawiam
Nothing like that mate. I’m not too clued up on these things. But I’ve got a PayPal link in the description box. Thanks for the support very much appreciated

Kevin this Renault model is an iron car such I drove 6 years and no problems only oils and filters. Perfect work again
Definitely a bullet proof car. Not over engineered. No fancy electrics.
Just an engine and a car. Simple.

I think he has both. The mid torque for most stuff but he breaks out the high torque when he gets a really stubborn fixing.
Are you purging the oil circuit ?
Love the chanel!!!
Guys, can someone tell me what tools (with batteries) Will is useing?
Thank you.
Milwaukee M18 impact ''nut smacker'' with maybe 5Ah battery and M12 ratchet wrench (long reach model) with 2-3Ah.

To remove the gearbox completely it’s best to remove subframe. Otherwise it’ll be too much of a squeeze

What is the liquid that you used on the new clutch? Just regular oil or wd40 or liquid grease? And why did u use it?
Brake cleaner /solvent

Okey cokey
53:00 how much box oil did you put back into this?
normally requires around 3 litres for this engine, should see running out of plug hole to know its at the correct level
Qual esse país?
I asked you... and you didn't answer me
Renault = Never touch even with a barge pole!
