Can we ever have enough hydrangeas? No way ❤
I agree!
Jenny, thank you so much for this tour of your beautiful hydrangeas! 24:50 what a beautiful shot of your back lawn! I remember when you planted those young evergreens across the back to keep your privacy in case someone ever bought and developed the land behind you and cut down those trees. I hope that never happens. It’s such beautiful, magical sight to see the woods as a background to your beautiful gardens!
It is helpful to see the difference between the hydrangeas. I planted an oak leaf last year and I think it’s in too much sun even though it’s between large oaks. My limelight is huge too & I’ve pruned it up. I also have some of the pink and blue varieties. Love how your garden is turning out!
Jenny,
Next, we need a tour of your Mama's stunning hydrangeas! 😊
Coming your way Monday morning 🥰
This was so helpful and informative. Even though I live where it is hot and dry, sharing your experience with all the varieties in the climate you live, gives me much needed perspective. Your garden is so beautiful. It looks peaceful and private. A garden sanctuary!🥰
Hello dear
How are you doing today?
I loved this! Now I realize, I NEED more hydrangeas! We are a mostly sun garden, so thanks for the info!
Awesome tour! Incrediball hydrangea owner here. Zone 7a. I have a miniature hedge of three outside my kitchen window and next to my front door. Three full seasons in ground, it is shaded and on irrigation. 5 minutes every 48 hours seems to be enough, 10 during hotter months. The floppy nature has improved a lot but still one of them tends to get downturned in heavy rain, they are not staked, although I did consider that this season. This is the first season I noticed a beautiful fragrance on mine, light almost like perfume, omg the bees could not get enough. I fell in love with them all over again. They are just about 5 feet tall now And about 5 wide. I did a light trim on them in the spring to encourage stronger blooms this year but ended up with smaller blooms which I am grateful for. Next year I may prune just a little more to try and get bigger blooms.
I really appreciate how well you described each type of hydrangea. Your property looks amazing!!
Wow! I am in awe at your massive Limelight. The trunk was amazing. ❤ Panicle Hydrangeas are definitely one of my favorites.
Hello Amanda
How are you doing today?
My favorite plant , I want every one of them !!
Good morning Jenny! We finally have a storm rolling through. It only brought 2 tenths of an inch this far, but it was a downpour and my poor Anabelle hydrangeas are now on the ground. Soccer ball size blooms on them this year and boy do they hold onto the water! I took pictures of them last night because I figured I would have to trim them back after the storm.
Very helpful video! Thank you! Have a great day!🌹🌺🌻🌾🌞🌸
Thank you! You too!
Beautiful, I do miss my big garden. My garden now is in pots, sadly where we are now, with trajectory of the sun I can no longer grow any hydrangeas 😔. Thanks Jenny 💋❣️😉
Me too, I have no luck with hydrangeas in pots! We have limelights on a hill that I can’t reach!
Hi Jenny, as always when you describe each plant’s characteristics I really appreciate how you emphasize the zone and growing conditions that you have. Now I’ve added two more hydrangeas to my list, meaning I need to enlarge my gardens! 🌸❤️🇨🇦
Wow, Jenny! Hydrangea Heaven! What a beautiful tour!🤍
Perfect timing for Hydrangeas tour for me I’m in Ohio , along Ohio river. Zone 6a. Ready to plant something for huge impact!
Have fun!
I’m up nearer to Cleveland but I’m starting to grow very food of these beauties!!! My brothers gave me a grocery store hydrangeas last Mother’s Day and I planted it in the ground and now it’s blooming and gorgeous!! So exciting!!
Beautiful hydrangeas. Annabelle smooth hydrangea will be great for my garden.
By far, the best tour of hydrangeas I have seen! So helpful to see these growing in the landscape. I'm going to bookmark this as a great reference for future use! Thanks so much!
Hello Anne
How are you doing today?
Thank you Jenny. I think I'm getting hydrangea fever! As you are going through the descriptions, I'm thinking of where I could "tuck" some in. 😂
I too suffer from that condition 😉😂
Everyone I know in cooler weather that has Little Lime Punch said it turns brown & latest one was friend nearby. She was told it was the weather but even with changes in weather per season she said it never turned red - went straight to brown.
Awesome tour, saving it to my playlist for easy access. Thanks Jenny and editing crew!
All the hydrangeas look beautiful! Love it❤
Beautiful!!!!! Love hydrangeas
The best lesson on hydrangeas in the south. Thank you so much!
Love seeing all the hydrangeas. Great information. Beautiful selections.
I love this video. Beautiful beautiful gardens !!
Thanks Jenny. I love your videos. Take care.🥰
What a great reference guide video on Hydrangeas. Definitely one to watch over.
I love hydrangeas!! Loved seeing yours!! TFS! Blessings!♥️♥️🙏🙏
sooooo fantastic videos for PW collection hydrangeas, love it
Love the hydrangea info.. Thank you!!🌸
Yes,Jenny. Showing the different hydrangeas was so helpful! I acquired several hydrangeas when we bought this house seven years ago. I don’t know the varieties. I think I have a little lime hydrangea that looks like your limelight hydrangea. I think it is a little lime because it looks just like yours but smaller. It was limbed up but since I moved some hostas that were beneath it because in too much sun, I’ve noticed it is leafing out on the lower wood. It was so helpful to know that I can trim these off to keep its lovely shape and plant low growing plants below again. I’ve learned so much from you over the past couple of years. Thank you for your informative videos!
Hey Jenny, I loved the hydrangeas video. Thanks!
Happy Anniversary Jenny and Jerry! 🥂🍾I hope you have a fantastic weekend. Thanks for the hydrangea tour, this helps me to decide which one I want to add to my garden next. ~Margie🤗💐
Thank you for sharing your beautiful hydrangeas. I’ve really grown in how to take care of my plants. They are thriving and showing off their blooms.
This was an amazing collection. Thank you
Very informative. Beautiful Hydrangeas! Thanks for sharing! Happy planting!

Wonderful information! I am redoing almost my whole landscape! Can’t wait to try lots of these! Thank you!!! I am a southern gardener too.
Gorgeous collection Jenny 🥰🥰
Jenny, I was waiting for the update on you phantom hedge. I' m growing them as well.
Excellent video! Very informative
I love the way you put your classes together! Very informative! I wish you would do a short or include the Fuji Waterfall Hydrangea after you moved it! I would like to know or see it! I was always interested in it when it was in your side shade garden! I know it’s not proven winners, but it’s a very beautiful hydrangea! Thank You!
Thanks for all the valuable information. 👍
I'm sure it wasn't in bloom, but sometimes I feel like I'm the only other person with a Phantom hydrangea and I'm always waiting for you to talk about yours. When it's blooming can you give more info on them? Mine is now in year 4 and last year was wonderful. I'm in Maryland, zone 7, and it's just barely starting its flower buds but looks like it's going to continue to be another good year. Thanks!!
That was a great tutorial on the different hydrangeas. I have 3 Little Quick Fires and love them. I’m going to look for Pufferfish next! Thanks so much! Zone 3 🇨🇦
Thank you, this was most helpful. Full of good info. I have an Annabelle that I had to move about 5 years ago, and I divided it, and this year I have two totally spectacular Annabelle’s. I planted a limelight 2 years ago, and can’t wait to see the blooms this year. I think after watching this, I need to go out and get an oak leaf for a shady spot I need filled! Thank you for this. I love your video’s 🎉😊
Excellent tour through hydrangeas! I like how you explain things.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved this video Jenny, great information as always ♥️
Glad you liked it!!
Loving all of my hydrangeas that I've purchased from you. Never was successful with hydrangeas until now. Love sitting in my living room and being able to see my Gatsby Gals (I have 3 of them). Also have the Invicibelle Mini Mauvette and Firelight Tidbit, which is definitely going to be bigger than 3 x 3. And I keep buying more. Just purchased a Let's Dance Arriba that I found on clearance at Lowe's (it wasn't even with in the clearance section).
Oh my Goodness so information Thank You! Always watch you even tho I am from Ohio!! Love Ya!! Take care! ❤️👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hi dear ! Thank you for this helpful video, I enjoyed watching it.
Also, your garden is beautiful!
Hey y'all! I've loved Proven Winners for a very long time & I really enjoyed this video! I'm a new subscriber from Charlotte - soon to be Concord! I'm moving in with my daughter and son-in-law (newlyweds) & the yard NEEDS a lot! I've been taking perennial & hydrangea notes like a crazy person! I've also got to check out a map between us & Creekside! Thanks for sharing so many tips & so much knowledge with us! I used to be a Garden Answer sub/follower; but, I'd rather see what's going on in my own state! Thanks for helping us thru rain AND sun!
Wonderful show!
I love ❤️ hydrangeas 😊
Thanks Jenny, this was very informative. After your presentation, I plan to purchase a few Little Lime Punch.
We had all the rain and storms right before you here in southeast Alabama and by far, my white wedding hydrangea did the best. It’s in its first year and did not skip a beat and not floppy at all like some of my others. I got a limelight prime this year to see how it varies from limelight here, so I’m anxious for it to bloom so I can see how it does 😍
Lots of great info.
This was absolutely informative and entertaining, thanks for the vast knowledge and information you gave us.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, it helps a lot😊
I love all the hydrangeas. I have 3 Limetta Invincible on the eastern side of my house, and they do very well there. I also have 3 Little Limes on the North Side in part Sun/part shade and they are doing great as well. Hydrangea definitely benefit from protect from the full hot sun.
Gatsby gal is on my wishlist for next year. I've been looking for a hydrangea that can take full sun. Thank you for this video. 💙
This was helpful!
Thanks Jenny,great info
I really needed all of this valuable info on hydrangeas. Thank you!
I will be sure to save it in my Garden Playlist.
Then, I will be certain to read the article you've linked.
Glad it was helpful!
This video came to me at the perfect time. I'm deciding on which hydrangeas to add to my southern garden zone 7a. So far, I have one Bobo and Little Lime, and both are doing very well. I may add a Pufferfish and another Little Lime. Thank you for sharing all the helpful information.
Thanks Jenny.
This was fantastic. Loved it, thank you. I’m a bit north of you in mid Maryland. My Little Limes are at same stage as yours. We do get great color change on them here for anyone wondering. Have added some PW Zinfin Dolls, first year blooming so will see. Added this spring PW Limelight Prime and PW Fire Light. Can’t wait to see how they do.
Thanks for sharing this as I am slowly adding hydrangeas to my landscape. My luck is definitely with panicles.
Smooth hydrangeas and oakleaf hydrangeas are also native to NC. Hense the reason they grow so well there.
Wow everything is stunning....🎉❤🎉so gives me hope of transforming a small field into a long time dream. Pikeville TN... southern problems ironing out.❤
Great information 🎉
Hello dear
How are you doing today?
Very informative. I live in Canada zone 3b 🥶. I have tried a couple of times growing Hydrangeas and they don’t survive. My Mom had the one with the HUGE cream coloured blooms. It was beautiful (zone 5) and git afternoon sun. I haven’t given up. I am determined to find one that will grow in my yard. Thanks again for the info. I have been inspired.
Thanks for great info on Hydrangeas
You bet!
Good morning Jenny it rained here in Tn yesterday n last nite suppose to rain again today the hydrangeas are so pretty
Great video and thank you so much for sharing this information. I have my first seven Hydrangeas this year and it’s been a little nerve racking keeping them happy in Zone 9b.😊
so nice
Got a couple pufferfish after seeing your previous video-they are doing great and about to bloom in Raleigh- have problems figuring out things that only get a few hours of sun but full late afternoon sun- burned up mountain hydrangeas, katsura pieris, Wolfpack azalea- just learning though and appreciate your info greatly- hoping to get to your nursery in next month or so! She wasn’t kidding-big rain for a week here
My limelight prime in mostly sun in just one year are massive and full of blooms. I’m amazed. And they are not flopping after five days of heavy rain.
I love my limelights! I have 12 in full sun and they do amazingly for me.
Thank you thank you for this video,im in zone 8a and this is informative jenny.
You’re welcome 😊
You are so Amazing ❤Love your channel ❤
Good morning 🐅
Morning!
Ugh! My hydrangeas got floppy with all of the rain that we had this past week. Thank you for this video!
I learned a lot from this video. You did miss the Zebra Hydrangea. My story on that is for years I have wanted one but it was so expensive online to buy one and some things can be a little sketchy if you don't know the nursery you are buying from. I decided at the last minute one day 2 weeks ago to visit our HyVee (grocery store) garden center and there she was in a one gallon pot 15 inches tall and on sale for 23 dollars. You just never know. Needless to say I'm in love.😍 😊😊🌷🌷
That's awesome! I do love Zebra when it is in bloom, however with our crazy spring weather and late freezes I do not always get very many blooms from it. This year I have 1 bloom that is buried in the foliage. Hopefully next year will be better!
got good info.
Wow, my Alice is full of blooms up here in 6b.
Love this video, planning to buy a Hydrangea for my garden. Thanks a lot, will have to check out what is available near me (Aust.).
Great tour and SO much wonderful information! I bought a very small PW hydrangea on clearance a couple years ago… no tag and it was the only one. Based on your video, I’m really thinking it might be a Quick Fire. Will definitely pay more attention this year as it’s budding up now so hopefully it will be easier to identify.
