Bob Malone - Custom Yamaha CP80 Rig Rundown

For those of you who are interested in this sort of thing, here’s a quick rundown of my custom Yamaha CP-80m rig, with a solo jam at the end! 🎹

Thanks Bob, I was unable to get an EQ from the active on-board factory settings to my liking. The solution was incredibly simple. There are two slide on/off clips to the 1/4" output jacs. I pulled them off and slid them together to connect them, effectively by-passing the electronics, making the piano outputs like a passive electric guitar. You do not even need to use the A/C plug in. The sonic spectrum is much fuller and sounds more authentically 'acoustic'. I used an MXR 31 band graphic EQ plus a Boss CE2 chorus from the 1/4 " outs. I did not use the XLR's since i did not want to have to convert the outboard add-ons.
