    * Notice * ( We had to re-uploaded the video because of technical issues so in the process we changed it to 4k ) We check the mines of the Oatman Arizona area looking for mineshafts that might have potential for mineral exploration and the best way to do that is to drop a Go Pro down there first to see if it is worth rappelling down with full gear. We find one mine that has a good working level and will be on our list for the next exploration adventure. If you want to learn more about the Geology of the area then just watch this video and smash that like button. czcams.com/video/28ug0oK-UHA/video.html

PS: yellow jackets also behave like those bees if you go near a nest (they love to nest in the ground, so be careful where you walk) they also love the color black and hate sudden movements (swatting makes em even madder!) and have the ability to fly UP your clothing (like pant legs!) found out the hard way since I live in a forest, lol.

That's a fun video, thanks for making it.
Jeff, the yellow/orange stuff, growing on that plant is called "Dodder". It's in the Morning Glory family of plants. Did you notice, that it doesn't have leaves ? There is no Chlorophyll in Dodder, that's why it's not green. That's because it's a parasitic plant. It totally lives off the host plant, that is growing under it. It dose this, by invading the stems and roots of its host, stealing its moisture and nutrients. The Dodder will flower and form seeds pods. Birds and the wind most likely spread the seeds.
It loves Alfalfa and sleeping Prospectors

Great shots. I am sure that you have put a lot of thought into this. It would be great to have two cameras one straight down and one that could be rotated to look up cross cuts. It would be nice to be able to maneuver the device to go around obstacles and have live video to help maneuver. You could make a tripod out of conduit to get to the center or a dangerous shaft. I am sure you already though of these things, just a pipe dream on my part.

16:27 if you have ether for starting an old truck or carb cleaner (or brake cleaner) that will kill any kind of bee INSTANTLY. its wild how fast it kills them. way faster than actual commercial bee spray. gasoline or diesel can also kill bees on contact, but not as fast. if you are getting swarmed an you have extra fuel or cleaner with you, it may save your life to be able to kill them. you can poke a hole in a water bottle with a knife to make a sort of spray bottle. its also good to take a bunch of benadryl with you and keep it in your first aid kit. those africanized bee swarms can be lethal even if you aren't allergic because they sting over and over and over and pump you full of venom. if you run into bees that are africanized you should do anything you can to completely kill them all if you can do it safely. they need to be wiped out as much as possible before they completely replace all of our bees in north america

    • @baddog9320
      @baddog9320 Před rokem +3

A lot less material to move.
its far easier to remove say a 8x8 shaft. Then 100 x 100. And even that is very small.
An 8x8 x 100 feet deep is 6400 cubic feet of material.
      While a 100 x100 x100 is 1,000,000 cubic feet of material.
And like I said even the 100 x 100 would be extremely small.
It would need to be approximately 1000 x 1000 feet per hundred foot deep to be remotely as you speak. And if I did my math correct for 100 feet deep that would be about 500,000, 000 cubic feet of material . or 18.5 million cubic yards.
Or loosely 18 million tons of material.
Compared to 237 cubic yards/ or 240 tons.
Thats a lot more man power needed.
Now if your gold is wide spread and at the surface. Then it make scents to do as you said.
Most quarries do this because they are using all the material once past the over burden.
However. I've also worked rock mines. And that was catacombs cut.
I don't remember the exact size but imagine grid paper each square is 30 foot. The first row is not blocked. Then every even row. Every other square is a rock pillar not cut. And the area between the pillars us called a room and is 20 foot tall.
And the last row goes down 60 feet? to the next level below.
The rock mine I powder monkey in was at 4 levels at that time.
And each level was about 20 rooms by 20 rooms.
They did it like that. To save on EPA issues.
EPA is rough on open mines like quarries.
The old saying our of sight out of mind.
People don't like seeing a huge open pit.
Now I've also worked quarries that were basicly removing a mountain. Never going below ground.
I tried to make this as simple as I could.
      But short answer.
Far cheaper to sink an audit and tunnel then to remove all the over burden. Which you don't get any money from the over burden.

      And safer is relative.
To make something that big. To go down hundreds of feet. You need big equipment. Which requires even more area to use.
      Figure each truck cost $250,000.
Each loader or excavator same price.
      Drill same price.
And each person that you hire cost about $50 per hour.
      And repairs.
This would be cutting things way to tight for such job.
      10 trucks
      2 loaders
      1 drill
      a foreman
      1 mechanics and two helpers
Operators for each piece of equipment
Equipment 3.5 million ( almost forgot mechanics truck)
17 employees after benefits and not being fair by paying everyone the same $1700 per hour x 12 to 16 hours 6 days a week $735k per month
      And maintance
So ball parking. $2.1 million per month cost.
In beganing truck will about move 80 ton per hour and less the deeper you go by per hounded feet that drops in half.
You are look at 8 months / $16.8 million.
Just to reach that 100 foot
Plus following the vain in the same matter.
And where to put all that over burden.
BLM is funny about the overburden.
Now say you got half an ounce per ton following the vien. I believe it was 240 ton. ( that pretty un realistic an given far more credit then should) that 120 ounces at.. I haven't look at spot lately but let's use $2000 per tr oz
$240,000. Yet it cost you $16,800,000 to do it.
Well thats one heck of a tax write off. Lol. A lost of over $16.5 million
Don't get the wrong impression. Following the vain isn't cheap either.
You could still loose money just following it. Even though you are working on a much smaller scale.
It all about gross and net profits.
Yes mining gold you can gross big money.( or lose it). But it doesn't count until after net.
I personally know two rock quarries. Well one. But the other is right next door to it. And I know they did the same thing.
That ran at a lost for the first 3 years. But the gold the loud owner ( he had silent partners) got off the wash plant ( where you make sand) made them all lots of money under the table.
One of the sets of silent partners was my ex mother and father in laws. And they received roughly $5m
I don't know if that was for the three years or that year. But I need to but that in prospective. Roughly today that would be $15m. And I know the owner received more and I knew of one other silent partners. There was probley more.
Point being. If it ran say as a quarry. Then the gross changes.
And even though the quarry was reported as running at a lost. That doesn't mean it was.
I don't mean fixing the books. But legibly there are ways. But I learned those in college.
Just wish I knew back then that mining gold wasn't illegal. It was just how they were doing it. lol.

They only followed veins. Theres no point to do massive excavation because most of the stone has nothing in it. Not to mention this area is drills and dynamite not scooping with buckets. You would wear the teeth off your excavator in a hour.

Anyway he uses non toxic spray adhesive that glues the wings and makes them drop. I think if you had some with you maybe you could use it to stop the chasers. Then call for a professional to at least inform them as to the location so they may be able to eliminate them.
