    My lawn mower would not start . After watching this video, I ordered and installed the solenoid. The only issue I had was getting a plastic cap off of the top of the original solenoid was a little challenging, but I got it off. You saved me a lot of headache and frustration!! Thank You so much!!

    Thanks for making this video!
    I had run through a field after doing the yard with a lot of brush in it and had a bunch of brush wrapped up throughout the mower when I finished...
    So, I pulled the brush out and rinsed off the mower. Trying to start it up to put it away and nothing. My first thought was I got the switch wet. But, that thing has sat in the rain before and not had an issue.
    The first part of your video was what solved my problem. I started checking connections. The brush from the field did a number on my connections.
    I feel stupid and relieved at the same time!
    Thank you!!!

    • @mcsmith7606
      @mcsmith7606 Před 2 lety

      This man learned by doing and not theory. His test on solenoid was meaningless because all he did was by pass the solenoid. If the solenoid was good and the control arm switches were bad or if the PTO switch was bad a new solenoid wouldn't fix it. To test the solenoid you apply power to pole that receives the lead from the starter switch. When you disconnect a battery you disconnect the ground first, When you connect the battery you do the ground last

      Check the battery if you haven’t already it may be worn down and not have enough juice to start the mower.

      Make sure the unit is in park and that the key is in the on position. May have to disconnect the safety feature under the seat if you have it lifted up while working on it.

    I replaced the solenoid and mine still don't start, I hear a loud noise that sounds like it's coming from the starter, the starter is good because I jumped from the battery to the starter and it turned over, so now I'm puzzled does anybody have any ideas?

    • @kbltexmex
      @kbltexmex  Před 2 lety

      It may be a bad ignition switch, check the wires make sure there isn’t anything loose. If nothing is loose the ignition switch may be bad.

      @@kbltexmex I already replaced the ignition switch because when I went to pull the plug off and check it it fell apart and broke, the fuses at the switch are good I did a continuity check on them, I'm still looking but I think it might be something with a ground wire.

      Also make sure the wires didn’t get crossed on the solenoid. I know initially I crossed my secondary wires and would get nothing when engaging ignition.

    we've had this about a month now and there are no complaints. czcams.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend some of the decals are a little crooked; i guess the decal guy was having an off day. it came on a crate and took about 30 minutes to assemble, then about another 30 to install the bagger. it works great and i cannot foresee any big problems coming up. it is a sturdy, usa built product. update: the belt-drive clutch is still grabby, but i guess that is the nature of the device. as the literature advises be very careful on slopes or uneven surfaces-it can be very tippy.

    What happened if it doesnt click

    • @kbltexmex
      @kbltexmex  Před 2 lety

      If it doesn’t click, it could still be the solenoid, try jumping the solenoid with a screwdriver. If nothing happens check the batter and cables. Then have your starter checked.

      Sorry to here that, next line of business will be to check you battery make sure it is holding charge, then check the wires sometimes they get crossed, then next would be to check the starter.

    hey pal i cant help but notice you literally have the wrong part and forced the connections breaking the metal crimp in the process... my twitch viewers will be hearing about this. (i left a dislike) please use the correct size parts in the future.
