Even if they are bad reviews, it is still a big step for Tom who showed that he has good range with this movie regardless of whether the movie was bad or not.
Also from what I've seen, his performance was actually praised and that it was just the overall movie that was disliked.
He was also good in Devil All The Time in my opinion! It’s so different from the Marvel films he starred in

Honestly, I loved the part where he was saying that he really didn't deserve to wear it because he hadn't earned it. I feel like it shows how much respect he has for the men and women serving around the world for their countries and giving those brave people the recognition they deserve

I genuinely love Tom Holland. The interview in general is enlightening, especially since he is empathizing important points about war and brutality. Besides that, he SERVED!
i was fortunate enough to meet tom and watch him film many scenes from this film. to know the emotional turmoil he had gone through to film yet he took a small moment of time to go and speak with a few kids from cleveland who were just politely watching makes me so grateful. he’s not only an amazing actor, but an amazing man. i hope he keeps this spirit.

You can tell he's in the middle of filming in an another accent because his accent especially on the 'O's and 'I's keeps going off on a weird mix of his own and an American one.
I'm super excited to watch this film, it contains hard and very real topics but both him and the whole team seem really dedicated to make sure it is a true and accurate portrayal of what people go through.

yes - i was looking to see if someone else noticed this! he keeps saying many of his i’s as ‘oi’ and it’s messing with me, like in time, quite, entire and bye. i’m pretty familiar with his accent (he’s from kingston in the uk and i’m literally from the next town over) so i was wondering if it was just a really tiny detail or if it was more noticeable.

i think he plays this role so well, coming from someone with ptsd he really shows all the parts around it, and this is why this film is amazing, it really does raise awareness for drugs and mental health.

I think its really nice the way he starts talking about soldiers and veterans. And he's right. It is hard for them to adjust. My dad was in the army for 7 years and he was never the same. He has really bad PTSD that was getting better, but recently an incident at work caused it to flare up again. I never realised how hard it was for him, how bad, how scary. I was always so young. Now, looking back at all the times he went away for help and all those times I used to think that he didn't love me because the army left him emotionless. I feel bad.
