Oh yes. This happened a lot if you were a kid in the 70s/ 80s. Parents had no problem dragging you out of someone's home and scolding you in their house, infront of others. HUGE HUMILIATION AND KEPT US KIDS INLINE. And not only did the parents scold you, the neighbors would be keeping an eye on you also.
