Thanx for sharing.. Say was a a stainless steel table you had your charcoal burning on?
Very well done. Bang on - each point. I do use hot water to clean - but when you use the method you showed - as you said - you don’t have to have hot water. What you did was perfect to me/the same as I do. The charcoal, the stand, the griddle, the spray, cook time, cleaning... all of it. Nicely done!
I happen to live about 50 miles from the Lodge cast iron factory and was there a few days ago and on a whim picked one of these griddles up for 12 dollars and wasn't sure how I should go about using it. After this video, I now know what I can use it on and I am excited for summer to cook with it. 😊
I used my griddle over my double burner rocket stove and it was awesome, thanks for sharing.
Great video . All these good recipes from you are kind of new for me since we do not do that much of it in Mexico, but I am sure if we go and enjoy with the family a camping trip, we can take advantage of cast irons, grills and griddles same way you instruct in your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Great looking meal on cast iron. Thanks for the clean up and seasoning tip!
as a long distance Truck driver I like your channel for tips & Tricks & as a classically trained chef i like some of your methods I’ll subscribe & like!
I'll be camping this weekend & yes, I'll be taking my griddle.
Great video! Thank you for sharing. My wife uses a Lodge skillet and we just bought her a Lodge Griddle. Your video came up first in the search and was very helpful.
Great video. I have one of these griddles but haven't used it yet. I like the charcoal table that you use. Great ideas!

Got my griddle for Christmas and I'm eager as heck to use it. Thanks for the tips! Was considering a Blackstone gas griddle for camping but now I'm thinking I might just get a second Lodge griddle for bigger cooks.
I really enjoy Tuesdays tips and tricks with Cast iron I also enjoy all the Bloopers that you show
I purchased a coleman travel grill recently as the Suze is perfect for two people. The cast iron grates were a problem the first cook. Now, thanks to your video I know how to handle the seasoning process for the grill. Hopefully no more sticking.

I have griddle like that on my wall which I haven’t used in a while. It’s just so easy to turn on the gas grill that I don’t think about it. I need to use it.
love it, looks great
Some great tips! I like to use high temp gloves to handle while cleaning.
Grate cleaning tip. Thanks.
Just bought one online for my put door fire pit. Will use your tips for my first griddle. Will swap up plastic bin to clean with a tin foil one as the plastic may burn. A++ video

I absolutely love cooking on the cast iron, been doing so for years! (Mike) love your collection on the wall too! Great video, gets me excited and wanting to go cook something right now 😂😂
Great channel man! I have the sportsman/ griddle combo. You have stellar videos. Keep it up. I made a small rack for my griddle rather then using the supplied sportsman grate so I don't burn off the seasoning. Your advice on grinding that grate for the pot lid grabber was spot on!
Great information thanks

Once again I'll go to sleep knowing more than when I woke uo! Nice Job Well Done!!
great video!
Great video steak looked amazing. Enjoyed the little blooper at the end Great Job!
I like brushing Zesty Italian dressing on my veggies when grilling.
Nice!
Good ideas. I ordered the flat top and Sportsman grill. Amazon is currently backed up so the grill wont be here for a couple weeks, so I'll use your technique with the flat top with a couple of rocks to suspend it.
Dude thanks!
Love all your vids but what you do with veggies is the bomb. I'm addicted to the cast iron grilled cabbage. The carrots in this vid are on the menu.
just got me a lodge griddle to put in my cheapy grill with those little aluminum bars. can't wait 👌👍👍
Thanks for the tips! Might have to grill up some chicken and veg tonight! Cheers!
Thanks for the tips! I just got a cast iron griddle for Christmas looking for good tips.
Make sure you season it before using it, if you haven’t already done so. Wipe down with flaxseed oil both sides bake for an hour on 350. Let cool completely before taking out.
I enjoy the short tips and tricks short video's. I have a good seasoning on all my CI and just as you do I store them with a thin coat of oil. I never have an issue with rust or going rancid. I have 2 pieces stored in my campervan outside for winter untouched and no doubt they look brand new as I type
I want to continue making the shorter ones, but since doing a few, our average watch time decreased as a result. That dinged our ranking. It's a CZcams thing. Thanks for watching.
@@BackwoodsGourmetChannel that makes little sense but you have the data. Maybe once someone clicks on short tip and trick, and tip or trick is revealed, viewer moves on, compared to maybe a recipe vid viewers must conclude to receive all needed data? Maybe you can insert tips and tricks inside a normal video?
It's all "Artificial Intelligence" based algorithm.
THANKS FOR THE POST. I JUST GOT ONE LIKE THAT FROM THE LEASE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO COOKING ON IT
I just bought one and i hope i seen your video before. Will be doing this next time 💯 thank you. Liked and sub 👍
I use pam. Works great for everything cast iron and more.
I hope mine fits my little Coleman webber has grill. I'm thinking of using it for dinner tonight. I'm going to have to try aging some beef.
Thank You sir - excellent video.
Can I use this on top of my explorer camp stove?
Thanks for the tips!!
The biggest struggle I have with the Griddle is cleaning then after lol. Thanks for the tips
like what you are doing!
It's nice to see you using that griddle. I have one that I restored hanging on the wall looking better than new. It will probably stay hanging on the wall because I just hate to clean the darn thing. Three great tips and yep you need to clean it while its hot.
Did you notice that ol' BSR stew pot that I got from you?
@@@BackwoodsGourmetChannel I certainly did that was a very creative use of it. It was nice to see it in action again.
Good to see vegetables added on the grill. People who have a vegetarian to cook for can use more ideas.
You are awesome
I have actually been grilling inside my Blaze King wood stove lately! It’s awesome. Just make sure to unplug smoke detectors lol
an old clean brush works great for oiling the grill as well
I havr one! It's a grate griddle!
[insert Tim Allen Grunting here] Awesome video!
