This video makes me feel old, because I remember when the Fusion was launched in 2006 and Ford was immediately criticized for not selling it with six airbags as standard. My God how time flies. Hard to believe the first gen Fusion is almost 15 years old.
Yeah, I remember that too, as well as the fact that the '06 Fusion got only an Acceptable rating in the IIHS front offset crash test, by '06 everyone else was doing Good. The Fusion got six airbags as standard starting in the 2007 model year, a year after it launched.
Also, apparently the 2007-2009 Fusions are supposed to deploy their side curtain airbags in a severe frontal crash. There are quite a few late 2000's cars that are supposed to deploy the side curtains in a severe frontal crash. Also, many of the late 2000's cars had more powerful engines than their early to mid 2000's counterparts, so will jump farther and give a more interesting impact with more damage.
Some I'm looking forward to seeing include a 2008 or newer Honda Accord, preferably a V6, and a 2008 or newer Cadillac CTS. I'd imagine the V6 Accord or CTS would fly quite far given its standard 263 hp (CTS) or 271 hp (Accord) engine, they can do 0-60 in 7 seconds, then it would land, get smashed up pretty good, and blow up several airbags. I'm really looking forward to that one. Those two cars came out 13 years ago now, so this is a dream that could actually happen. I'd love to see something from 2020 get jumped but that's just not practical, at least until the early 2030s.
Here's some more good jumper ideas: GM Lambda SUVs (Acadia, Traverse, Outlook, Enclave), I remember being disappointed when the Acadia had mechanical problems that kept it from being jumped. 2005 or newer Honda Odyssey, look at the minivan fly! BMW 3 Series from 2006-2011. Honda Ridgeline.

They are nice made cars I love my fusion, but the new ones aren’t as good.
I had a fusion 2007 4 clyinder only issue was the transmission
Nathan Cook it’s the case with every modern car Toyotas are some of the best of the best with Honda being close second but even they aren’t like they used to be in the past
Especially with the Honda Odyssey having transmission issues

I’m not gonna dislike this video, but those Ford fusions are actually really good cars, that one didn’t look into bad condition nice color, decent 17 inch rims, plus I would totally buy those leather seats from you they look like they’re in good condition, they’re worth a couple hundred bucks, love the videos but it’s hard to watch a fusion that from 10 feet looks nicer than mine get destroyed lol
I feel the same man... except my Fusion looks better than the one in the video, but still... It really looks like a waste of a nice Ford Fusion. I actually think the bodem of the car is full of rust and would not go true inspection.
@@AVC-Works yes exactly, and the video was very entertaining, and still the seats can be scrapped and I would totally buy them. I often don't think about rust damage because I live in California but I realize that sometimes a car can look cosmetically perfect but be so rusted out that it is not safe to drive, and we don't even have inspections here in California. Shockingly, I feel more than half of the cars on the road wouldn't pass if not more LMAO

Yooooo I have an 08 fusion v6 3.0L front wheel drive. it's the best piece of shit I have ever driven. 3 serpentine belts two power steering pumps. It's a pain to keep running. However, she also has 200,000+ miles and she still gets rowdy.

Please tell me this thing didn't pass inspection due to rust.... or else this was a waste of a really nice looking Fusion V6. I'm not particular a Ford guy, but i really like the Fusion bc they really are a blast to drive, but i think its always a waste when cars get wrecked when they are in good condition... No matter if it's a Ford or a Porsche

I traded in my wifes 09 fusion and it looked just like this one. It was a nice car till the expensive abs control module went out. It cost half as much as the cars worth. Shortly after ford announced a recall for it, Figures.

In Ontario every needs a safety and it’s cheaper to scrap the cars instead of fixing them up. I have donated them before and I watched the guy pick it up, take it to scrap and collect the cash.
