Nice man... I have same mower just 54 inch deck... Little tip if you want the stripes to pop more... Keep all your wheels casters and drive wheels on uncut grass... Use the little wheel on your deck as the guide on your cut... This will make your lawns super bright... Great job tho... Striper works great
I have the same exact mower and deck. What inch lawn stripper did you get? Did you have to make it fit your mower the bracket that went over the frame assembly? Thank you
In all honesty, I can get the same result by cutting, then going back over the stripes with the deck raised to straighten and brighten the stripes if they need it, as well as blow any loose grass off. I would still enjoy trying a stripe kit though. Good video.
Great video! Thank you for sharing. I have the same zero turn mower and love it but would like to get this striping kit. Do you have the part number for this kit? Can’t find it online. Thank you!
The only real issues I found with this style of stripe kit is that you really have to watch the edges of sidewalks, flowerbeds and backing up to anything. Because the wheels will definitely catch the edge of the concrete if you’re not careful. And it will bend the mounting bars. And could cause the wheels to be put in a bind and not roll too well. And doing a 180 too close to mulch it will definitely screw up the mulch. I built one myself and I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to add some sort of skid plate for each side or replacing the outside wheels with a smooth bullet shaped wheel. Just so it could slide over edges of sidewalks when doing a 180. Instead of grabbing or digging in damaging the kit and or the landscaping.
I'm sure it's a great striping kit but this lawn is NOT one I would use to demonstrate how great it is. It's patchy and short. I think you need a bit more length and thickness to REALLY show stripes.
I have a great idea that I think will work the best! Use a little common sense and ask yourself what makes our hair sit down? A Comb! So build a comb like structure built at an inward angle so it replicates combing your hair. This should be guaranteed to work the best. When I run a bunch of rubber tires over my hair it does nothing. But a simple comb lays it down.
I have a JD z540r with the big league lawns striping kit, and I’m not impressed with the stripes at all. My neighbor gets better stripes with no striping kit at all.
Nice video. Imagine the stripes you could get if you got rid of those dead spots though.
Videos are taken on customers lawns. All we do is cut, no fertilizer or anything. But yes they would be better.
@@everythinglandscaping2682 that’s why we never cut below 3inches … The sun is killing that lawn you did a great job though.
@@TraeEdwardsProductions I’m in eastern North Carolina and keep it at 4.0. Heat is hard on this fescue.
Seriously, you don't need fertilizer but that yard needs to be thatched 😭 3" minimum.
great idea on the u clamp... i was wondering how to mount it

I was just about to say somthimg exactly like this
what size checkmate do you use? looking to get one for my 54 inch.
How did you get the cub cadet one to fit? How did you extend the threads ?
I have the zt1 54in deck. I couldn’t find anything on their website for my mower
Do you have the counterweight that attaches to the front? I'm not sure if you can order it separately; I received mine with the bagging attachment
I do not

I have the the ZT2 with a steering wheel cuz I had a stroke. My right arm is not good enough to use for the steering control.
Do you still use and like the stripping kit now? Thanks
I've got the 42" sometimes wish I'd got the 50 but want fit in some of my back yards.
You may be able to get this kit for the 42 also
I got the 42 for the same reason but I plan to go bigger I want both
I would do the same. Then every area is covered.
How is it 42” sometimes?
Looks like a nice kit. I was wanting to try to make my own this winter
It’s really the best kit for that kind of mower. Really defines the stripes
4:10 is he coming back?

Cut it higher and it will stripe better
Wait ! I missed the stripes where are they 🤣🤣
What stripes kit should I get for my zero turn a 42 48 or a 52 ?
I have a 50" zero turn
I had the option of a 50 inch stripe kit for the cub do you have a zt1?
@@everythinglandscaping2682 no it a Dixie chopper
Honestly not sure. They make different stripe kits for each mower so check their website and see if they make one for Dixie.
I have same mower just 54 inch with same striper... I bought the biggest one... 425 bucks... 100%worth it
Where did you buy the stripper at ?
Big league lawn
They do make them for the SCAG's
Yes they do

Where’s the stripes?
What about turns
Good vid but bud your only using a Lil more then half that deck when you cut
The grass has been neglected, so the strips are struggling to shine through
The lawn is really patchy, dry and short so yep the striping kit doesn't work great. There's nothing for the kit to push over.

Homies got no lawn to even stripe
