ITUNES: found.ee/abrfound August Burns Red's new album 'Found In Far Away Places' available now on Fearless Records. Stay connected: augustburnsred.com / augustburnsred / abrband / abrband
Everyone over here like "I mean, I like soft breaks...but I prefer them in one two songs max". What they really mean, is "I should probably act like I'm okay with the creative parts, which are for the moment above my current musical iq, so I don't get torn apart for openly admittedly all I listen to are breakd0wns"
At first, constellations and rescue and restore were my favorite but now, this is right there with them, if not the top one. Brutal folklore fantastical melodic heaven.
This straight up is arguably my favorite album ever made. I can’t remember one that I regularly listen to back to front over and over again and never get tired.
@@Wernershnitzl not even just in abr terms, but music in general it's so fucking interesting. This album was my intro to the band back when it dropped and I've never stopped going back to it
@@nightwing1823 same man between this and The Way of All Flesh by Gojira are essentially neck and neck for two different reasons but both made masterfully.
+Sean O'Callaghan It's a common theme in folk music, a repeated pattern that gets faster and faster while more and more instruments enter and perform variations over the top of the underlying rhythm!
This place isn't meant for people like you Spouting ideals for your fans to consume You're insignificant, like an ant in the midst of elephants You're all the same You know you won't last forever You're all the same A flavor of the week is how you'll be remembered You're all the same Pulling your so-called burdens off of your back, throwing them overboard along the rest Ignoring the pioneers, insulting your peers Did it feel good to get that off your chest? You would think, with lyrics like that you wouldn't have so many supposed fans telling them they need to fit into their generic idealistic metal genre. buuuut nooooooo... lol. I swear, these kids need to get out of their lil bubbleboy suburbia one in a lifetime.
Can't wait to learn this on drums! the bridge with the strings and then back into the drums with that sweet guitar cry is the most badass thing I've heard in a while. sends chills down my spine every time
Internal Cannon introduced me to August Burns Red, this album introduced me to "do you know that you can create weird interludes that will sound awesome?" I'm all down for this type of songs, and another one with Identity.
Actually the part at 1:53 is of Russian origin its is a dance that as you can hear starts slow and builds as it continues but I can see the confusion cause the period of time this dance was popular was when the Volga German colonies were heavily populated of Jewish descents (which is acctually where the movie fiddler on the roof takes place).
I love ABR, they're simply amazing! I've noticed lately that they have more songs with "soft" breaks in them. I mean I like them, but I would prefer them in one or two songs max.
I feel like this song is calling someone out...maybe all these other metalcore/post-hardcore bands that all sound the same? Anyways I love the band and song. They are always doing something different and unique while still keeping their sound.
I have to say it would be better if i could hear the lyrics like if is the videos ok but wow if thats the volume of the mics in the album cmon turn up that mic volume.
I think metal just found a genre. this is rock at its best seen em love all around good band.. break downs are cool used to get me here but fuck there is no talent in it. you notice how there songs never end the way they start. and those sound on the shit everything just amazing.
Love the album, just wish it didn't sound like all the instruments and vocals are drowning each other out a little. Really takes away from the sound quality
Ic3nova I have to disagree. Its not bad and If this was the only song that had one of these out of place interludes ok, they are allowed to do something drastically different from time to time. They did this on every song. It gets old quick, its not ABR. Well, I guess it is now :( It was so easy telling people I liked ABR, didn't have to say which albums, now Ill have to say which albums, just like avenged sevenfold, they went so south I can't even say I like them anymore, its too much work to explain. Anyway, I posted a video of this album with each song without the interludes, its much better.
thevoiceoftruth55 and I must disagree with you. I believe that your music taste is so far up your ass all you taste is shit. but hey that's your opinion so whatever m8, ain't gonna call you any rude names because that's just childish
Tyler Lovejoy Music taste is metal, and its delicious. Artists are allowed artistic liberties, metal albums and songs can have softer parts and even whole songs. They however these parts usually fit with the song (like in R&R), and these artistic liberties are not usually taken in every song. They over did it, these interludes stick out like a sore thumb. If you like it ok, but people are gonna be disappointed with this. Such a good band, some poor decisions.
***** Moses "separating the seas" during the escape of the Israelites from the Egyptians. The Israelites walked on dry ground and crossed the sea, followed by the Egyptian army. Once the Israelites had crossed, and the sea closed again drowning the whole Egyptian army. Pretty sure this song is about this, hence the title "Separating the Seas" and the Jewcore part
Justin Connor If I had to guess, it would be at all of the bands in their genre that are ruining it with their lack of creativity and selling false ideals just to make some money, "dragging us through miles of mud" basically ruining the genre. As well as the ones that are talking trash on other bands, "Ignoring the pioneers, insulting your peers". Least that's just my take on the meaning.
The drums on this track are ridiculously good.
Mitch Jensen Matt gets better and better on each album...
ABR gets better. Did you hear the middle of this song?!
>ABR plays this song live
>crowd headbangs and moshes
>crowd suddenly starts dancing when they get to the bridge
Dustin's screams are so good; they're always a favorite of mine!
Br00tal breakd0wns br0
+Noah Khorey most pretentious comment award goes too
+Thermalburn if you don't like the soft parts that's one thing but saying you like them but only like once or twice an album is just a facade man
+Thermalburn I don't mean to sound pretentious but when this album first dropped that was really bugging me
+Noah Khorey No you're right; I agree with you. I actually totally misread your original comment haha. Sorry
This band never ceases to amaze me with their diversity of sound.
After listening to this album many many times, I can honestly say this is one of the best
At first, constellations and rescue and restore were my favorite but now, this is right there with them, if not the top one. Brutal folklore fantastical melodic heaven.
They never disappoint but I think that Phantom Anthem is their masterpiece that album is something else!

My favorite part about this song is how the violin part accelerandos, Slowly gets faster.

It's a common theme in folk music, a repeated pattern that gets faster and faster while more and more instruments enter and perform variations over the top of the underlying rhythm!
1:12 lowkey one of the best breakdowns of all time
Still haven't gotten over it myself. Such a banger its unreal.

Xyphira Vos their little suburbia is in ruins xD
Who else here wants August Burns Red to release a Yiddish themed Folk Metal album?
along with their Christmas album?😂😂
August Burns Red is one of the few Metalcore bands I actually respect and enjoy. This song is a good example of why.
I love the raw sound of Matt ' drums at the very beginning. So neat!
Can't wait to learn this on drums! the bridge with the strings and then back into the drums with that sweet guitar cry is the most badass thing I've heard in a while. sends chills down my spine every time
1:52 Heaviest breakdown in history
Saludos desde Mexico espero vengan de gira pronto
Bendiciones amigo de Canadá.
hands down this is their finest album sonically.
As I listen to each song, this album gets better and better. In this particular song the instrumentals are incredible!
'You're insignificant! Like an ant in the midst of elephants!'
Sickest line ive ever heard (y)
I cannot stress how much I adore ABR, they way they get so creative with their music is amazing.
I've been listening to these guys for years. Love their sound and words. Keep up the awesome work!!
This band is a music genre all its own
" *Your* *legend* *will* *fade* , *no* *one* *will* *remember* *your* *name* "
03:49 the time that you don't know if you bang your head or dance hahaha
Arthur Ramalho right right 😂😂😂😂
Does anyone repeat the transition into the clean part over and over? Mindblowing.
Love this song. Drums sound so great in this one
I gotta say this is the most underrated song from this album
I feel like I was in a pit... then a Jewish chair dance... then in a pit again.
Jewish chair dance. Hahahahaha.
Eli Jordan lmao
Hence "separating the seas" name. How the song was designed!
+Eli Jordan Best description ever.
Haha, indeed.
Internal Cannon introduced me to August Burns Red, this album introduced me to "do you know that you can create weird interludes that will sound awesome?"
I'm all down for this type of songs, and another one with Identity.
I almost got a chance to see these guys live. Amazing band.
Mariana's Trench is transcendental live
jb has to be the best guitarist out there
Dustin also writes guitar
Would be so awesome to see this one live 😍
1:10 heaviest thing ever written
+BroTeddy "Brotato Chip" BroSevelt lets not get carried away.
Not even close...
Actually the part at 1:53 is of Russian origin its is a dance that as you can hear starts slow and builds as it continues but I can see the confusion cause the period of time this dance was popular was when the Volga German colonies were heavily populated of Jewish descents (which is acctually where the movie fiddler on the roof takes place).
loving this album so far. it's gotta be a tied with Oceans Ate Alaska as favorite album of the year.
Russel Nguyen What artist is Oceans Ate Alaska by?
David Riehl lol no i meant the band Oceans Ate Alaska. the album is Lost Isles by them
Russel Nguyen oh ok, sorry I mixed that up.
I listened to one song off their new album and I didn't like it too much. Just breakdowns
Russel Nguyen lost isles is un fucking real...they are very underrated, they are tech monsters...dat timing doe :)
If I were a rich man, ya ba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dum
Bird0fPrey All day long I'd chugga chugga chug..if I was a Metalcore man..
+Aaron Tell Do I spy a Fiddler on the Roof reference?
I love this!
This is their new sound guys, Jewcore.
Best Jewish thing ever.
***** I guess I like Jewcore now
deathr2 Um, Israel's missile defense system is pretty epic.
Probably my favorite off the album
At some point I feel like I should be at a bar mitzvah. "A Very Metalcore Bar Mitzvah" coming to theater everywhere this fall!
Amazing violin!!!!
2020.. Still great.
3:11 "THIS IS BULBASAUR!!"
Leviathan Skye Fuck! It sounds so similar! 👍😂😂😂
Soooo Good
sooo groovy !!!!!!
after that interlude in the middle i checked my wallet and all the money was gone.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
woooooooooooo baby metal
I think there's gonna be a lot of dancing from this album
Track of the album for me
I love ABR, they're simply amazing! I've noticed lately that they have more songs with "soft" breaks in them. I mean I like them, but I would prefer them in one or two songs max.
Only a couple of them have really weird breaks like this, the other slow ones are just with clean guitars or classic rock riffs
Keller Martin Yea, I liked the clean break in "Chasing the Dragon." Maybe it would take longer to get used to this one lol
Alejandro Franco
Chasing the dragon? That's not ABR haha
Keller Martin Please tell me how it is not? I'll gladly refer you to their "Lost Messengers" EP so you can listen =)
Alejandro Franco
Oop, the only album I haven't listened to haha
violent
Holy shit is this one heavy
I feel like this song is calling someone out...maybe all these other metalcore/post-hardcore bands that all sound the same? Anyways I love the band and song. They are always doing something different and unique while still keeping their sound.
Do they even have any bad songs? Lol I love these guys
Am I the only one who imagines pictures of Jack Sparrow at the middle of the song instead of Jews?
JEWCOREEEEEEEEEEE
I have to say it would be better if i could hear the lyrics like if is the videos ok but wow if thats the volume of the mics in the album cmon turn up that mic volume.
A new revolution of music at 2:00 min ? Kosha-core...??
1:13 Holy Fuck...!
First song I've heard by ABR in D standard 👉🏼👌🏼
Sounds like C to me? Idk I'm not that good at naming notes
Drop C is what they usually write in (i.e. Marianas Trench, Thirty and Seven, Echoes) but nah, this is D standard
Hayden Ruggiero Agreed, it's D
3:49 the guitar entering is something different
why wont it go louder on my head phones!!!!!
Pantaloons are mighty moist
like a metal version of gogol bordello. Sweet.
I think metal just found a genre. this is rock at its best seen em love all around good band.. break downs are cool used to get me here but fuck there is no talent in it. you notice how there songs never end the way they start. and those sound on the shit everything just amazing.
woops proof read ppl meant to say I seen em live in chico a lil collage town in northern California
Your insignificant like an ant in the midst of elephants this song is sick as shit
Makes m wish they had a violin player in the band
My question if they play this live will the shark come out wearing a Yamaka
that jewish music section so good
Hava nagila Hava...
3:33
True. One of the heaviest breaks
This song sounds like a Mastodon tribute to me
Fuck this. **opens Messengers back up**
I wonder if this song is about Jake Luhrs ex wife.. he was going through a divorce when this came out
the middle bit with the wierd music, it is jewish wedding music XD
im just here because Seth Rollins posted a picture of this on his instagram
Seth Rollins is a badass wrestler, he has a great taste in music as well
Love the album, just wish it didn't sound like all the instruments and vocals are drowning each other out a little. Really takes away from the sound quality
WTF was in the middle of that song?
Creighster a gimmicky hipster interlude, such auditory events are used when the musician feels the need to ruin a perfectly good song.
thevoiceoftruth55 The interlude makes it a perfect song!
Ic3nova I have to disagree. Its not bad and If this was the only song that had one of these out of place interludes ok, they are allowed to do something drastically different from time to time. This is a call out song but to who?
Justin Connor It's about the story of Moses and the Israelits escaping from Egypt. Just watch the movie "Exodus" and you'll get it.

***** I have read them too many times and I still think of the story. Sorry.

I'm reading these comments saying how it's Jewcore. my friend showed me this wearing a bowler hat dancing like he's in church. lmao
Who else came here from seth rollins?
cursivecore? xD
jew comment*
Breakdowns were pretty good, but then they were ruined by the rest of the song. Abysmal.
Your shitty reviews are abysmal.
Jzsus lmao he's baiting at this point don't fall for it lol
shadowsmustfall1 my best guess is that your about 12 years of age.
shadowsmustfall1 You are an ungrateful son of a bitch.
Jzsus oh hi jzsus
