Man You Really Got me Watching this Video. I am so Thankful for you Billy for Seeking out these Early people who were part of Elvis's Life! Thanks James and Dean, and Billy, I Truly Admire your Work!
I wish they had the video of Freedom Hall concert. I took my Mother to that concert. It was on her Birthday. She was so excited but Mother died in 2013. I would love to have the video . I can't find it anywhere.. we lived in Kingsport Tennessee.
Concert was March 17, 1976.
Mr. Ramsey seems like a really nice guy. Elvis must have enjoyed hanging out with him.
Loved this interview with James and Dean
Ramsey, great memories to share. Loved the
"JD" story. James never had a chance to see
ELVIS again, he really tried. Thanks, James
and Dean for sharing your beautiful memories.❤️✌️. Thanks for bringing it
Billy👍👍. 4-11-22
Thanks for interviewing Mr. Ramsey so that he could share another piece of Elvis history.
What a blessing this man has so many memories of him & Elvis and their time together. Room Mates on the ship. Just awesome.
It makes me happy to know there are still REAL ppl telling REAL true stories.
Thanks Billy
Fantastic interview with Mr. James and Mrs. Dean Ramsey. Sad that later onfew they were not able to connect with Elvis especially in the 1970s before Elvis death. Thank you Mr. Spa Guy for another fantastic interview. Thank you for all of your hard work in order for we Elvis fans to learn about more of the Elvis history. Have a blessed week.
PS:. The Army base in Texas is Ft. Hood. Being from a military family have been there a few times.
I cut James hair and I have the picture of him and Elvis hanging on the bulletin board in my shop. ELVIS never leaves my building !!!
That is so cool Bobby!! James is Great!!
Great story of Elvis army buddy James what lovely memories Thanks Billy
Wonderful and a bit sad , wish they could of met up again sometime, the train station is beautiful ♥️👑🙏🏼
Those are some really nice people. She is so pretty, no wonder J.D. was interested, Thanks Billy!
That was a fabulous interview I love the way you talk to people handle them with Grace it is wonderful that you find these people that experienced part of their life with Elvis and we get to know about it you are truly amazing all of you are forgiving this to us brings a happy smile to my face God bless you always
Thank You for the encouragement!!
I had no idea Elvis was a Scout. I was also a U.S. Cavalry Scout for 12 years in the Army. Being a Scout is a "very interesting" MOS which is now 19D. One should go take a look at their responsibilities.
I could sit and listen to this man talk all day. Seems like such a nice man.
You bring Elvis back to our lives . THANK YOU ! Wish we were there on the Ship. The Gentleman Soldier is so lucky to have met Elvis . Thank you Sir for sharing this precious memories you had with The King!
Hi from England
SPA GUY your interviewing skills are wonderful. Actually these are more like a good old "chat" You are able to ask the right questions and allow James the interviewee to tell their "stories" and tell of their life experiences with ELVIS
James is around 82 - he looks more like 72. Again we have the opportunity to listen and watch him and its all about memories made of such a long time ago -60 + years
The pics are AWESOME and look so treasured.😊😊😊😊👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹
Absolutely lovely interview. Thanx again Billy for showcasing the "regular" folk who have just as important and great memories of Elvis as the "famous ones" have. Thanx for keeping not only Elvis' memory alive, but of these folx as well. I'm sure you made their day.
Not many left,,,Dean Thank you for your service,,,,and your memories.
What handsome gentlemen! Thank you for sharing a special time in your life with us. ❤
This couple look amazing. I just kept thinking Elvis could have looked good too if he had taken better care of himself. Thank you for letting us meet them. I enjoyed the stories.
I love you finding out the friends elvis had back then great story love it thanks Billy trey and everybody
A very interesting video about people Who knew Elvis. All was fantástic! Thanks
Lovely interview, Billy and very nice opening reveal. BTW, who could blame JD for making a move on Mrs. Ramsey, she must have been a real looker back in the day and still looks beautiful.
Wonderful story! Always look forward to your Elvis stories! Keep up the great work!!
Brilliant interview. What a lovely man. Thank you from Derbyshire in England.
Thank you Sean for sharing your Elvis story and thank you Spa Guy for interviewing him and all you do to help keep Elvis" memory alive.
What a lovely couple....sure have good stories - having spent time with Elvis memories and pictures- priceless.... thanks Spaguy 👍 🙏
I could listen to this all day great story
Same year my grandfather was taking basic training in Fort Hood. He was an army medic. Went to Germany on the General Patch. I wish I could find a year book from that time or some pictures he was in.😭
It’s really neat to see folks that were in the background and never heard of. Thank you for searching and finding them/family members. I don’t watch T.V. I watch CZcams, Spa Guy. There’s nothing worth looking at today. Thanks again! 👍🏻
Bellissimo video completo grazie 🫂
How neat was this….James had great pictures too ! Loved that you took us to the train depot and showed us where and what that looked like. Thanks ❤️
Asheville was 1975 and Knoxville in 1972. Great stories from these fine folks. Great job Billy.
Great One Billy,Thank You!
Very cool indeed!
The one on one interviews Billy are special wow … AND added the location footage with the train station ONE OF THE BEST VIDEOS YOU HAVE DONE loved this one … 252 says hey 👋!!
Lovely stories thank you
This is soooooo awesome to see
Wow. Incredible video!! Thanks Spa Guy!!
Great video - such a pleasant couple. Personalized Elvis' time in the army/Germany. Thanks Spa Guy.
I don't know how you do it, but so happy you do. I mean finding folks that have personal stories with Elvis connections, while they are still living. One word is all I can think of and it's BRAVO! Billy!
Another treasure of an interview Billy. Going to show this to Johnny soon. Thanks!
Cool Johnny may have known James..
This guy is cool. Wow!!! Love this story
Great story Spa Guy!! I was in Bristol in 2004 for the night race..the year Dale Jr won. Great trip to Tennesee. Stayed in Pigeon Forge, also visited Nashville
Hi!! These are the stories that make me love Elvis more. Thanks for the memories!
If I remember right Charlie Hogde said that he roomed with Elvis on the ship over to Germany.
They did not have private room in the military they would be in large rooms with bunks..
@@consuelocardosodias5248
Well COOL billy 😎👍🏻
Sweet couple. I loved this video. Nice stories of his army days with Elvis.
Thank you to James and Dean. Thank you Billy
Cool info about GI Blues!
Boże jaka piękna para... Wierna fanką Elvisa pozdrawiam z Polski
W rzeczy samej!!
Yet another great job spa guy
Thanks Billy
Really nice people & good interview, thanks spaguy. T.C.B.
Great interview thanks for all your hard work
You do an excellent job on giving us this special information about Elvis....❤❤
What a nice man. A great interview and thank you so much! Enjoyed this.
Cool video ☺️😎
Thanks for another good video!
But with the risk of being called a "smart alec" i just noticed that i think some dates or towns must have been mixed up when discussing the concerts in Asheville. He only played Asheville in 75 and the sundial was only worn in on tour in 77 (worn in Lake tahoe in 74, but never on tour). Maybe they saw him in some other town in North carolina around 76/77 or they actually saw him in 1975. This was not intended as being picky or anything, just me being a nerd when it comes to dates and events in general!
Great research and interviews as always.
TCB!
Thank you Billy for a great video lots of great information and lots of pictures that I've never seen. Interesting background information about Elvis's time in the military with the personal story from one who knew him.
awesome video as always
Thanks to the Ramsey's for sharing their stories and also the picture of Pres. Reagan: TCB⚡
It is so good to see where Elvis has gone training in Germany and also so good to see and hear one of his army buddy, Mr.James Ramsey. We still have to I guess to unearth so many, many memories about Elvis. Spa Guy keeps on providing us with a lot of those. Thanks a million.
I also have another Army friend Johnny Lang you can find that video here.. czcams.com/video/PIhlgpGPne0/video.html
Excelente
Awesome video thanks 🙏
Thank you Spa Guy !!
Deus o tenha sempre...
Wow, I just came across this video, great interview with this kind gentleman, amazing how you find folks who had these encounters with Elvis so long ago. Truly enjoyed this one!
Thank You for sharing your memories of Elvis. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Spa Guy, again a awesome video❤️
Cool stuff Billy. 👍
I really loved this interview,, thank you for bringing it to us! 💫
Muito bom estar na história. Sempre um pouco de Elvis presente a mais de 40 anos. Só. Emoção.!! Thankil❤❤ obrigada. Elvis forevet😌❤
I truly appreciate this story. Thanks for sharing this
So cool! I'm a Florida fan and an Elvis fan.
Hi Spa Guy true great video Elvis Army Friend James and Dean Ramsey Bristol Tennessee Train Station Meeting with Family true work so hard for all us elvis fans keep up great work my friend
This is really cool 👍🏻😎
Hi, cool
Spa Guy, it was wonderful you could interview someone else that could tell you about ELVIS firsthand. I remember Elvis saying it was very cold in Germany, and he did not like it. The man and his wife were very nice to talk with about him. I am glad his wife, daughter, and friend did not leave when he was an hour late for the concert, they would have missed a concert of a great entertainer (close to the stage too). That is a beautiful train station in Bristol, TN! I did not know that was a real scene in the movie of the tank firing and blowing up the house. Wouldn't you love to buy a tank of gas for a tank today? Ha. The many places that Elvis had been, and history. ❤
Fort Hood was my home base ❤️
Love all your videos Spa Guy 👍👏
Great story. Just to bad and sad that James and Dean never got to talk to Elvis. I'm sure Elvis would have loved seeing and talking with ok James about their good old times on the boat.
Q: Did you know Elvis played the piano?
A: Spa Guy tells him when his parents bought it, where they bought it, and where they were living when they bought it.
Lol.. Yep i'm a nerd like that!!
The M48/A1s were commonly known as Patton tanks. Thanks for your service! Those were tense times.
I still have my book also from Fort Leonard wood
James you should dance w/ your lovely wife to Elvis singing the Hawaiian Wedding Song. That would be so romantic and lovely....and fulfill your promise that Elvis would sing for her 🙂
James Thank You Love Ronald Ragen picture on wall one of our Best Presidents
The Bristol train station is on the Virginia side of state street.
For your army research I’d like to help you track all of that down. I traveled in his foot steps through the army as a scout and could clear up a lot on that end. Went to the same basic training as Elvis did and went through the school of armor. Was well versed and educated in it. Would be happy to help preserve the history of it accurately and I don’t live far from you. Wrong on the turquoise grip 45 I believe. It was a 22. But, I’m sure he most likely had more than one caliber with a turquoise group but, the one on display is a 22 current day that is
My uniforms had same patch but mine said 49 Th Lone Star Triangle patch
Hi spa how are you ☺ 💓
Those photos were cool. I don’t recall ever seeing Elvis wearing a steel pot helmet, seems like its always a fatigue cap or some other soft cover. Perhaps the Ramsey’s or their kids can get copyrights for the original photos
Elvis’s train may not have been a ‘troop train’ per se but perhaps a set number of cars were chartered for servicemen on an existing regular service train. I’m only making this assumption because it wasn’t active wartime.
Thumbs up 661
Spa guy i just want you to know i really truly love your videos and you i know you are a good guy because you are a elvis fan like myself been all my life i watched earlier today the video you did with gene elvis cousins wife i really like finding out these important facts i feel mor complete myself only real elvis fans understand what i mean by that but yes thanks for all your elvis videos
Pulls out the year(s) books yet won't show the Elvis pix....??????? I bet Gracelands really put the fear into him. Off topic - too bad the people I knew, close to Elvis, are dead or I could had hooked up you some good interviews. I dig your vids - Spyguy. However, when I turn on the caps- it appears to be Romulan. More ???????
You got a lot of nerve going to Pastor Joyce...so rude. Because of people like you I'd hide too.
Lol.. He needs to quit trying to make people think he is Elvis.. Taking advantage of people like you with a weak intellect.. Elvis passed away Bob is not Elvis Get over it!!
@@SpaGuy wow...you are seriously a very nasty person.
@@SpaGuy people actually think that? Lol
@@sc1338 yes surprisingly there are 1000’s that think it..
