You hit it on the head, dude. Nate has said multiple times that he doesn't actually like the fame, but he loves his fan base and making music. You'll see in the later albums that he really doubles down on this and explores a bit more. IMHO his word play really steps up from 'Real' onwards, so I'm excited to see you catch his bars as you keep moving through the journey. :)
His growth has been mad, I also feel like there will be a shift in production as I continue. In his Mansion days he loved that dramatic piano, violin almost Fort Minor type vibe but I'm digging this NF way better. Excited to hear more!

There are definitely songs with different vocal styles, especially in his later albums. Also, I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I see his first three albums as a trilogy with Intro III being the climax. Make sure you are prepared for that.

he has quite few calm tracks down the line! not sure what playlist you are listening to but a lot of times when reactors go on the “nf journey” they are faced with a lot of his more aggressive and powerful songs first but because of that they miss out on the other calm, catchy, and easy to listen to songs. if you can, maybe when you finish the songs on the list from one particular album, you go listen to the full album before going onto the next set of tracks from the list. that way you will be able to hear his more chill and catchy songs :$

Don't worry too much, he's definitely got some calmer tracks that are more focused on his own ability. PAID MY DUES is a great track towards the end of the playlist which is much more chill, and Warm Up is also fantastic although it's not on the journey playlist, hope you'll enjoy them!

Great reaction! You're very insightful. Yes, he has problems with fame. He hardly does interviews. He avoids Hollywood scene. He avoids social media. He does not do stuff to promote his albums. And you'll notice, as you go along this journey, that in many songs he mentions it...his distaste for it..says it's not real and doesn't make him feel good.

If you believe god created the world and humans etc then literally the world wouldn’t exist if god didn’t. But ALSO Nate feels his rapping skills are a gift from god so if god isn’t real neither is NF and if NF isn’t real then neither is this song....
I've been saying his technique with pen gets to the top level only on his 3rd album Perception. I honestly dunno why people recommend his earlier work it's not that good apart from mansion.
This song and so many moving forward have such great lines. You might not of got the line “I’m not famous, I’m just Nathan “ is a play on Nathan’s famous hot dogs which are the hot dogs used in the huge July 4th hot dog eating contest in New York.......
Go back to Mansion and listen to Wait. Or if your done reacting to that album, just listen to it. Well worth it with all his work, if you don’t you will miss a lot of great music. He’s not a one trick pony. ✌️

Nate has responded in interviews from The Search album to the comments by Eminem. He’s firmly aware of them. Said he can’t prove it and he doesn’t get dragged into beefs over a maybe. It was absolutely at him. Eminem didn’t swear. Eminem LOVES to swear. Nate is the one who doesn’t. However yes. Eminem buried Jay Z on that song. And absolutely as per NF. The journey is important for the story but ALSO to see how he’s grown as an artist. Perception was dope but the search album. Damn. The flows, rhymes, word play and pockets he found on beats are absolutely absurd. He has at least like 3 plus flow styles every song. I think much of the aggression when rapping is where I see Eminem’s influence of NF the most.
