It’s crazy how active this game still is. My dream is to build a man cave and have an arcade style wall with MvC2, Simpson’s Arcade, Ninja Turtles Arcade, Street Fighter 2, and House of the Dead 2. I know that was random, but so is my thought process. Lol

I will always watch MvC2 matches. For me it’s such a nostalgic game. One the quintessential fighting games of all time IMO.
I remember taking summer classes at my local community College sophomore year of high school.
A guy at the arcade there saw me play strider, and told me about team clockwork. He taught me the basics, and the rest is history! Fighting game addict. Doesn't matter which game, I just wanna try em all!
@@Brian-xr8cl same here bro, I love fighting games. I was pretty good at this game back in the day, not on a professional level, but winning at my local arcade and amongst friends. If I could’ve dedicated more time to Tekken, I know I could’ve competed in a few tournaments and do pretty good. Fighting games are so fun and they’re the best to play competitively because the games are quick and everyone has a chance to play!!! I miss the arcade days, but everything is online now and COVID doesn’t make anything better either. We have to bring the arcade back and the feeling of playing in person and having fun amongst friends and rivals!!!

This game has a special place in my heart. Used to love going to random arcades or game rooms and hoppin on this game. Ended up getting it on ps2 later down the line. Fun to play and watch
Nimbus -X yes it is indeed. Also recently got myself a complete ps2 copy of the game after getting rid of my previous loose copy a few years ago.

Mvc2 looks nice but for me personally it gives off a mugen vibe with its graphics
On a nitpicky level, I think the character select sprite display is the dullest and laziest possible and the way the health bars instantly decrease each hit does also look scuffed
Other than that, yeah, it looks great still

Search BrettH123 MvC2. He has a ton of matches J360 and other really good Marvel players. Lots of good mid tier fights not just top tier.
Best Ironman I've seen is General Thrillah. He is way more consistent,so when he gets a hit the opponent dies from the infinite. Then the incoming character gets guard broken and one touch killed too.

I still remember my favorite team for story mode and fighting abyss. Round 1 is Sabertooth with projectile assist, then Cable also with projectile assist, then Iron Man with projectile assist.

I love MvC2 so much. Played the hell out of it on my DC. Kept trying to remember who I mained as I watched the video. It’s been so long lol I know the first was always Ken, and I’m pretty sure second was adamantium claws Wolverine, and I think my third shifted between Hayato, Jill, and Gambit.

Really need to get back into this game. I think it was by far the one I was best at. Never played pro or anything but I barely lost when I hit up the arcades that don’t exist anymore here in Seattle. Magneto, Sentinel, Commando or Magneto, Storm and Sentinel were my teams.

God, I miss this game. I remember spending hours playing pick-up matches with my friends till 3am on our custom arcade sets. Is it still possible to do the classic infinites ala Magneto, storm, strider, HVP cable, etc etc? Been watching newer clips and I haven't been seeing these infinites. I still recall that one casual pick up with this guy named Mitsu - who was the king of ironman at the time - and him absolutely slapping J. Wongs cheeks in a few matches with ironman infinites and unblockables. The good ole days lol

Hell yes we would want more of this, and if the rumor is true if this is released on PlayStation 4 and 5 hopefully there would be a new way to play it with proper online implementation
Where did you see the rumor? I saw one but on Reddit’s “Gaming leaks and rumors” sub. The one I saw was suspect because they were told a Marvel V.S Capcom collection with a collection of games (I’m assuming) similar to the ones found in the Best Buy Arcade1Up cabinets would run $60. That’s a steep price for those games, no matter how beloved. MvC2 was supposedly going to have a universal rerelease (including the switch) for $20 And that makes more sense. Regardless, I hope that shit is true. No game really scratches that nostalgic itch like marvel 2.
But Capcom lost the license of MVC2. Did they get it back? If so, then there’s a greater chance that they can put this game into good use for the next gen consoles.
They didn’t to my knowledge but considering how they rereleased the older games with the Arcade1Up cabinets, it’s possible they might be given permission somehow.
