  • The previous video presented a tour of the clock tower prior to the restoration project's start. Balzer Family Clock Works of Freeport, Maine, is contracted to restore the timepiece, clock faces, clock hands and associated mechanics. The company removed the timepiece in December 2022 to begin its restoration. They returned in June of 2023--covered in this video--to return several parts (not the timepiece) and to remove the clock faces and hands. Balzer family members will return in September or October of 2023 to complete their part of the project.
To follow the restoration steps, visit the Balzer website at www.balzercloc... .
The clock is owned and maintained by Huntingdon Borough yet long housed by agreement in the tower of the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church. The clock has been nonfunctional since 2016.
