Hiya Duck in today's video I’m going to show you a trick! How to change the colour of your acrylic powders using ink keep watching!
Today I will be working on the beautiful Aleana Finger but this is no ordinary Aleana finger no no this Aleana finger is special, this is a Kirsty Meakin Aleana finger! And she is the best client ever!
I'll start with a pair of gloves since we are going to be using ink and that stuff can get messy!
I'm going to be using Glass slipper today and ill put some monomer in a dappen dish along with just a little bit of Onyx that’s out black ink and ill give that a stir now we can use this monomer and it will give the clear acrylic a transparent black look, so let's create a nail!
I’ll create this nail using a 3-bead application and while it's still wet I’ll place some flakes of the gold leaf into this design and use the brush to flatten that out.
I’ll pick up another bead of acrylic and dip it into the A&A seasonal mix and then place that when want it then I’ll take another bead of acrylic and overlay some of the detail in the nail and create some darker areas.
I’ll repeat this process until I’m happy that I have enough detail throughout the design then I’ll add some more ink to my monomer and make the acrylic even darker then I’ll create a slither running through the nail.
Then I’ll switch out to clean monomer I’ll clean my brush replace my paper towel and then cap the design in clear, I’ll leave that to set and then remove it from the finger for filing.
I'll file the nail using my e-file with a debunking bit and then I can refine that shape with a hand file then ill clean over the nail with some clean-up solution and then and ill give this nail a layer of topcoat to finish off this design and that’s it!

I love this. I usually use gel polish to color my monomer but I'll definitely try this.
Have you ever had any issues doing this iv seen loads ov videos saying it OK but then some saying not to xx
No issues at all
You can also do it wirh gel polishes as well in the monomer I seen a video a year ago doing it then some companies started selling colored monomer and and stuff it's really cool
I'm assuming you need to cure though after to be safe with possible allergens?
you can use gel polish to do this as well. I love using this technique

Genuine question... could you PLEASE make a video on how to remove press ons if you've put them on with something other then glue like acrygel or acrylic or that new type of gel glue stuff that's been popular. I'm asking on how to remove them without damaging them so you can reuse them. You taught us how to make our own during the pandemic but I'm wondering how to get them off without ruining your nail or the press on full cover tips etc. So far I can only find acetone which destroys them or soap and water which destroys your natural nail. THANK YOU

No I have tried and tried over and over again and I still can't quite get it right with using my acrylic product that I buy off wish or I get from the dollar store but it never turns out so great I need your help
So.... are those air bubbles on the tip, or separation of the ink pigments in the monomer??
That turned out so stunning. I was just wondering though, when you wipe the nail with the clean up solution and it goes over the fake hand.....will the clean up solution affect the hand over time? Like eat away at it or anything? I hope you don't mind me asking. Lee xx

How do you make sure the acrylic doesn't get stuck/stick in the brush?
Make sure to constantly clean and wipe out your brush during the set 😊
