INGREDIENTS:
2 oz Larceny Bourbon
.25 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
.5 oz Simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water)
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 dash Absinthe
Garnish: Cherry and orange slice or twist
Glass: Old Fashioned

So... a really sweet improved whiskey cocktail?
Had never heard of this drink; being a big fan of the Sazerac, I had to give it a try. Often times I find Maraschino Liqueur to be either too overpowering or implemented poorly in cocktails, fortunately that was not the case here. Consider adding this one to your repertoire, guys.
Can someone explain how there can be two cocktails - The Inside Job, and the Improved Whiskey Cocktail - that are essentially the exact same thing? I'm so confused.

That's a bottle of Pernod pastis, not Pernod absinthe.
Its the Absinthe I use this at my work. Pastis looks really similar just a bit different design on the bottle.
