JUST STARTED WATCHING UR VIDEO'S, PRETTY MUCH LIKE OURS. In the U.S. they're alot of different setups . In the last 10 to 15yrs we lost a lot of smaller dairy farms, but some of the dairy darmers are growing in size. In earlier yrs an average 125 to 250 milking and there still are some ,but a lot sold there milking herds and sold there property. NOW an average 500 to 800 milking and there are very large 2500 to 5000 milking herds. Where I live we have a large population of Amish families and there average is 40 to 100 and there are some larger Amish dairies that milk 200 to 250. Enough of talking, love ur videos and I'll keep watching.

You all do a lovely job milking cows and I think it is so interesting hearing how you milk overseas. I think we complicate things here in the US. I would like to hear some numbers such as somatic cell count, as that is the first measure here in the US. And I think your idea for a double 24 with your cow numbers is spot on. Get it done and quick. And very pleased to see you all as young folks carrying on, you must have great parents and, maybe, grandparents. Thanks for the great video, look forward to more.

I think governments are going to eventually make the image around farming to bad that people will be starving and no one will want to farm. Farming has been around as long as humanity, and I just can't see how it has contributed to any bad effects to life. I also believe that eventually humanity will have a break down of technology because it fuels arrogance and Pride as well Pride never prospers. I used to farm as a young farmer and there was no love for growing grains for food production, in fact people who bought products made from these grains protested the farming that was feeding them. And in Canada only a small percentage of grown crops feed Canadians, we export grain to developing nations to feed them. So what happens when legislation is such that this all stops?
I love your channel, I know it can be challenging to take us along. Thank you for your work. Thank you for your work you are the unsung heroes feeding the world.

This video really shows that you take pride in your work and the care of your herd. Your positive and patient attitudes will serve you well.

Hi, we did a lot of research into different parlours and went around a lot of farms to have a look and in the end we decided the GEA parlour suited us the best. We especially liked their feeders and the way they worked. They were also a good price ans the service we get down here in pembrokeshire is excellent with them which is really important 😊

Are you ladies from New Zealand? I am from the USA. I have to admit that it is hard to understand some of your talking because of your accent. I am glad that you sometimes put the words on the screen, and that makes it easier to understand. You have a very nice setup for your herd. I grew up on the farm in the 60's and 70's. On our main farm where we lived, we had Dairy cows (Holsteins). We only milked around 20 cows. We had the old wooden stanchions. We had 4 milkers (basically stainless steel buckets with a detachable lid with inflations on it). We would put a leather strap with grommets and a curved metal rod, around the cow to hold up the milker. The grommets allowed us to use the straps on all sizes of cows. We also had a few pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, cats, and dogs. On our other farm, we had Black Angus beef cattle and a few sheep. (I forgot to say that you ladies are hilarious. Keep up the good work!!!)

We had a radio on also, for our cows. I made a bet with my Dad on which music they liked best. My Dad liked Country and Western, and I liked good ol' Rock and Roll (50's - 70's). I won the bet. Our cows gave more milk listening to Rock and Roll. My Dad didn't like it,.....but you can't argue with more money going in your pocket. So, the radio stayed tuned to Rock and Roll. Occasionally getting changed to a baseball game from time-to-time. He liked the Chicago Cubs.
