Hey CGB it was awesome to get a chance to play against you again! I was the mount deck at the beginning, and yes you're right I wasn't expecting the giant growth lol. The point of Wylie in the deck is that it saddles Seraphic steed immediately on turn 3 draws us a card and makes a 3/3 angel, was just trying something different for a video lol.
It was very refreshing to see your deck. That would have been such an awesome showcase if cgb didn't have growth.

Why does CGB always think that when someone says GG it means they are talking smack? Maybe it's because I'm from the FPS community where it is very easy to tell the difference but idk kinda weird
to say good game first from a strong position means "you've got no chance, just quit" and absolutely is a way of talking smack. saying good game and keeping playing from an unclear position is a bit salty. saying good game and conceding when you're in an obviously losing position is fine, of course!
@@ttto_ok Idk coming from Hearthstone I would always well played my opponent no matter what and usually they would say it right back as a form of respect.
Typically it's cause it's said early, before the game is over. In those cases it's as though your opponent was trying to say "stop trying, I already won"
@NickTemperistic Even disregarding that hearthstone and mtg culture is almost definitely very different, "well played" is way more respectful than "good game" in a lot more contexts. Early gg is a universally toxic thing to say, no matter what game you're playing, and whether it be that you're giving up in an fps bc "[your] team is trash" or in mtg bc you're salty and are going to play to make the opponent miserable.
@@shurgs I mean add a way for players to type to each other while in a game and then you'll really see how toxic people can be

As a cauldron enjoyer, I loved the idea of giving a mount a cheaper saddle with cauldron when I first noticed it, but sadly all the good saddle effects are already low numbers on high cost creatures... the only ones you would ever want to cheat are bronco and the unicorn but it's too slow and they can already be saddled easily on curve :/

I love giant growth, from back in the day playing the old 7 land stompy deck to using it in my gruul aggro commander decks. Great for keeping blockers alive and using it to finish your op when they dont block everything. Its right up there with Overrun for me!!!

There's a merfolk deck I've run intk a couple of times that absolutely dominates control decks. They get out the enchantment that makes token merfolk as well as the merfolk that sacrifices other merfolk to counter spells. They came infinite tokens and counter all your stuff long enough to beat you down
2024: Gingerbread Brute in graveyard + Agatha's Soul Cauldron = unblockable creature out of nowhere
2019: Questing Beast + having exactly 13 cards in your hand at the beginning of your upkeep = you win the game

How does CGB not understand every time an opponent says good game not in terms of them having the win but in terms of them saying its his game.

I like the outro but I usually watch to the end. If the outro goes I would still like to know if the deck was worth crafting or more detailed thoughts - but then you run the risk of spoilers and having people click off early.

Yeah that 2nd to last game - - award for most annoying deck in the format - - the infinite value orzhov discard deck. It's fairly strong, but mostly just annoying 🤬
I dream of a mono green deck viable in standard since years ago. Sadly this isn’t the year, for now. I can only imagine the effort to find all those janky opponent.

@@CSmania1991 and mono green definitely isn’t an aggro color. It’s been years since the last time it was a viable deck, while most of the other colors had consistent support.
@@CristianCiotti oh ok, i stopped a few years and got back like 8-9 month.
I know green isnt optimal for aggro, apparently it has been (cause there is some deck elve i beleive in historic) but i rather standart and try to find a way to make something viable.

This deck is garbage. Maybe I have to be a truly elite player to *get* it? Any deck with flyers or some basic bounce and removal just owns it so totally.
