- Quilt Addicts Anonymous has brought me some amazing opportunities over the years, but this one might be the most fabulous ... in May 2024 I'll be teaching on a 13-night Transatlantic Quilting Cruise to Western Europe and the UK!
And the best part, you all can join me!
You can get lots more info by filling out this interactive PDF. The Sewtravelry organizers will get back to you with more info about booking and options: www.funseas.com/_files/ugd/fe...
I am so excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Here are some of the highlights! We start off with a Quilt Shop Hop through Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with the final stop being the Celebrity Apex Cruise ship.
Then we'll spend seven days at sea and in addition to all the normal cruise activities, you'll get to attend a quilt retreat with me and three other amazing teachers including, Ange Wilson from Gnome Angel, Jo Westfoot of The Crafty Nomad and Teresa Mairal Barreu from Teresa Down Under.
During the sea days each of us will teach one course, give a lecture and be with you every night for dinner and some quilty bonding. And sewing machines will be provided, so you don't have to bring your own!
Once we hit dry land we have some amazing stops including, Ponta Delgada, Azores; Cork, Ireland; Porland - Dorset, UK; Bruges, Belgium and South Hampton, England.
The fun doesn't have to stop when you get to England. You can add on a three-day textile tour of London with Sam Hunter of Hunter's Design Studio. She'll take you to the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Antique Textile Company, located on the iconic Abby Road and, of course, Liberty of London.

Congrats, this cruise is a quilter's dream. A quilting cruise is on my bucket list for when I retire and have enough free time for adventures like that.

So exciting! I would love to go but I get seasick! The one cruise I have been on, I was miserable and swore I would never do it again. You girls will have sew much fun!
I’ve been on one before. I had to wear the patches behind my ears to avoid getting sick
Congratulations. You are so deserving. ❤️

Maybe there will be another one!
So exciting!
Thank you!
Real quick I have been watching your videos what thread do you recommend for quilting?
Seriously considering it. The cost is the only drawback.
The way John and Ray explained it to the instructors is they make sure the price they quote you is the price it will be. No surprises when you get on board.
Hi Stephanie, you did a great job explaining all about the cruise. You definitely should be included as a Celebrity Quilter, congratulations!! I was trying to find the form to request additional info but all I can find is a link to the form to book the cruise. Do you have a link for the more info form? Thank you
That is the form I was talking about. It’s really an information request form.
Sounds wonderful! But what about fabric, cutting mats, sewing machine and all we use for quilting, do we take our own??
Thanks for asking this. I am wondering the same thing.
Great question, sewing machines, cutting mats, irons and ironing boards will be provided. You’ll get a supply list for fabric and other items you need, like fabric, three months before the trip. Some instructors will be offering kits, or you can use your stash, or find something during the Florida shop hop.
Hi.. I tried to fill in the form for information and it said safari doesn’t support sending it… I wrote to them and hope to get a response.
I am sure they’ll email you back. They always reply within 24 hours on business days
So, you take a cruise there and then fly back on your own?
Yes, but Sewtravelry can handle your flight booking so you don't have to worry about it. We have a Zoom this afternoon at 2:30 CST with the Sewtravelry team and all of the instructors if you have any other questions. Here's the info ...
