I only used 2 snow tires on front of my van in snow and it was fine, I lived in snowy northern Utah 30 years. Put weight in your car so it don't slide in snow, like iced melt bags I kept 1 bag in the back of my van. Used cars can be pricey. I now have a 2022 RAV, it's awesome but I drove old vans all my life I hear ya. Keep up on your oil change I did mine every 3000 miles.
