Keep the original look. Shows the character and history in it
I guess the question becomes regarding painting. Is it still original. You've already done a tremendous amount of work. There is a certain joy in seeing something original, but there is also a joy in seeing what something looked like fresh off the dealers floor. Whatever choice you make there will be regret. I guess paint it and do a full restoration so in a hundred years people will still see what it looked like new
Wow, great video! Can’t wait until the next one. I love tear down and rebuild videos and have never seen one of a John Deere two cylinder engine before. As for painting the tractor, if you are going to use it after you’re done, probably not paint it unless you are doing a complete restoration.
Very nice teardown video
Looking forward to seeing it get fixed up! I think it would be cool to leave it in its working clothes, but whether you decide to paint it, I think it will look good either way!
It will be interesting to watch you bringing this old girl back to life ...
Great job! I love watching videos on John Deere two cylinder engines, keep up the good work!
Keep 'er movin'... Great video... Stay safe, Tim
I think you should make her look pretty. 👍👍
😎👍👍
I would go with repainting the old girl but some folks like them in their working clothes..
i have AN unstyled a ive been wanting to get at! its a lot of work to do a full restoration paint wise. i am almost leaning more towards keeping it the way it is and have it 100% functional
Nice video, I need a new block for my 37 A.
Keep it like it is. Its only original once!
Those mice can really make a mess out of things. I can't decide if I want to see it repainted... Maybe repaint half of it, see what that looks like 😅.
repaint it. It will look great!
I would paint it ❤
Old 2 cylinder got neglected😮
Not sure about this question. Normally I like a new coat of paint on the ones that I restore. I have repainted and re-decayed my 1963 MF35 Govt Utility Edition. I also have a 1941 JD A, currently in its work clothes. I have more work to do with it, yet I believe I will give it a fresh coat of paint. That being said paint it.
Just took the head off my 47 A. That my great great uncle bought new in fall of 46. He never ran antifreeze he would put water in it basically drained during winter. The head and block has finally rotted from inside out. Was 47 the first electric start A’s I have heard that but don’t know?
PAINT IT!
Paint it needs paint
REPAINT IT PLEASE!!!!!!!
I personally CANNOT stand rust on a deere and I prefer to repaint it.
It was built to work, keep her working clothes on. Nothing Runs Like A Deere
I'd paint it, otherwise it's like taking a shower and putting your dirty underwear back on.
