You guys do a good job of mixing it up to backyard builds to very expensive builds
“Backyard builds” are my fav, even tho they aren’t my backyard builds..☹️
😂
This exactly how I would build a car. I've never been huge on high maintenance paint, worring about the weather....I drive what I build, daily all year everyday. This is a wicked machine.
Love this perspective - build a mean daily monster that you enjoy with less stress over cosmetics.
@@CyberDocUSA exactly. Show cars have days and days into the finish . I want something that looks good but won't matter if it gets rock chips or bug guts on it.
bug guts magnets are less stolen!@@robsorgdrager8477
Love the vibe of that car; not rat rod, not show car, more like...survivor! It's so cool that he respects the power too.
Totally with you
Fernando is a straight up likeable relatable dude, you can tell how much he loves & respects his car. Great work guys ❤
I love the diversity of this channel!!
Not often you see a guy this into the build. Fernando knows what he wants and makes it happe, big respect! 🐊
Dam right, the camera inside the car when Fernando is getting on it, you can see the torque lifting the car up, squatting the rear, that car is sick! And. The fact that it's a actual, actual learning curve to drive/shift makes that 1 of the best builds you've had on this channel!!!
What I find myself loving from this sequential is that this one requires the clutch to shift. I understand that it would be a pain in the ass for every day city or rush hour traffic but my old school ears LOVE hearing the sound of the exhaust decel between the shifts!! Old school meets modern tech design, I love it!
Very cool conversion
Such a cool build, and a really cool owner as well. Can't wait to see where he goes with it!!! Thank once again Shawn for a great video. Just what I needed to unwind after a long day at work.
Glad you liked it and can’t wait to see what he does next with it
@@AutotopiaLA Hey Shawn, I know you're a California kid, but an idea for a video, I'm in Whitehorse, Yukon Canada, and each summer on Father's day there's a car show up here. You'd be surprised at some of the cool rides that we have up in the north here. And that time of year it wouldn't be too cold for your brittle Cali bones. I think you'd enjoy the cars and the people a lot.
Yeah, he’s pretty cool for a Dodger fan. 😉
Cracks me up how calm he was when thrashing on it. Just driving along lol. Shaun shitting his pants and Fernando going to church lol
“It’s only original once” You said that right… but nothing wrong with giving it new power under the hood! NICE 👍🏻💥
First 67 I've seen on your show! My favorite year Chevelle and I loved it! Thanks for filming!
Love what he's done to the interior.....LOL! Shaun is a stitch when guys drop the hammer.....great facial expressions. Lotta dough in that engine......dump the spool and put in a Detroit Locker. That would be about all a fella needs for a driver. I had a spool in my Nova but all it saw was the track....no street. I had a ratchet shifter in a T-bucket and they are nice.....just keep pulling them in.....
This thing is insane
Cool setup. I think this is the best car channel. I was grown-up with old Steve Mcqueen movies and movies like smokey and the bandit. For people like me this is the best thing on CZcams.
Most tv shows had a killer car chase scene, fun to watch back then.
It's about time y'all shot my personal favorite year of Chevelle. And god dayum this one is wild in the best of ways. Great wheel choice.
Love the ‘66-67 Chevellez but sorry I can’t agree with you on the solid black wheels. 🤮
My favorite year also but I'll take a 67 Pontiac Beaumont! Same car just built in Canada! @autotopiala if you are interested I know of an awesome one in Massachusetts you could do a shoot with. Great video! Thanks
@@danmyers9372 Polished alum would look great on this . Never was a trend follower
Love how it’s built to drive and enjoy!
Me to!
Ooft, that flex in that first shot, freaking wild!
By far the sickest Chevelle I've ever seen! It gives the Grand National a run for it's money! One of my favorites so far.
Definitely a badass car
This chevelle ,took that money!👍🏼
That was a great video! That car has survivor vibes plus modern mega horsepower. Looks like a car you could have fun with all the time, which is a perfect combo. That clutch looks like it would build some leg muscles. LOL
Hydraulic clutch probably. Still easy to use just that puck type clutch. Those are like light switches.
Hidden Gem!
she'😁s a beater👍
21:05 Thank you for not changing!😂😂😂😂
Lol!
Fernando's ride is fast enough to warp time. Can't wait till you revisit and shoot again!
It’s a beast and when it’s all done definitely doing a reshoot
Need to make a series called “BEATERS WITH BRAKES” 💨💨💨
Shawn a tip, we only need the car the owner and you, your enthusiasm is the comedy gold... Good 2 see the young drivin the old Iron, original patina is badass!! Thx.✌️
I've never seen you drive someone else's car like you did. I can tell you love it 😊
Very cool car. That clutch is a serious learning curve!
Literally one of my top 5 favs on this channel. Raw and to the point.
That’s awesome! It’s a cool one for sure
I grew up in that car. 327 4 barrel. Sky blue, black bench seat in the front. My dad sold it when the frame started to rust. Too bad. I see this and I’m brought back to him flooring it on our way to Norfolk through the beltway.
I love what they did to it
Holy crap, nobody would have any idea of the kind of power this car makes. What an awesome car.
Hang on to the seat
Yep. At some point he’s doing a full interior with proper seats
One of the BEST cars I’ve seen!!
And it’s gonna get better soon
@@AutotopiaLA oh I believe it Shaun!!!
Amazing video!! Hope to see him again once the build is complete!
Great show Shawn! I could see the car twisting when get got into the throttle.
Thanks! Definitely needs a chassis with that kinda power
That chevelle is awesome, the patina makes it look like you’d see Daryl from the walking dead mowing over a bunch of zombies in this thing
Dang Son! Awesome video Shawn!
Thanks very much for sharing with us!
Thanks for watching. Cool car and owner
That guy is cool as
I reckon his brothers must be awesome
Wild ride and he let you drive it
Bye the way
Watching from Switzerland 🇨🇭
And ❤ it
👍
Absolutely love it. Just true and raw to what it is.
I've watched some builds on this show that are mind boggling but something about his chevelle here. Thats cool. The beat paint with the low black rim stance my god its cool
I've seen all your video's and this one for some reason made me smile. Great channel
Oh my god, that's great, an old car with "a hell" in the middle of the car 😮
I like how the Body is unfinished and the Drive Train is built to be driven hard.
Me too. No worries about rock chips…just drive it!
Nice car would love to see it when completed.
You gonna love it and it puts smile on the face 💪💪💪💪
Great video and a great ride. Thank you for the shout-out Fernando. Thank you AutotopiaLA for the content!
as a 67 chevelle owner myself, that thing is bad ass!
I can’t wait to see what all is in store for the future of this build! Cool Car!! I love old school cars!! This one is going to be a super cool build!!
That is a perfect sleeper car. Then it turns in too a beast. I want to drive that thing so bad.
That smells the clutch😮
12:53 that’s when you absolutely know how much something is making someone happy, all the way to the core.
Lots of smiles in this one
Another fantastic vid. ! !!!!
Man I just found out about your channel and I enjoy it to the fullest, a guys dream ‼️
Best car on the channel so far hands down 🔥
Me and my wife and friends Kevin and Julie met Shawn Saturday 9/9/23 in Bowling Green (71 Chevelle and the 67 Firebird guys from Owensboro, Ky.) I just want to say thanks to him for taking the time to stand around and listen and talk.....the guy is cool as hell, a class act and sincere!! We hope he makes it to our neck of the Kentucky woods someday!! We met a couple celebs that day and not judging or criticizing anyone but lets just say the experience was kind of disappointing....realizing they are busy people it seemed all about the merch....Shawn, totally opposite! Dude totally needs his own show!!! Thanks Dude!!
I love this channel and I love the builds that they showcase But it would also be really cool to see more average garage built driver builds. These multi-hundred thousand dollar builds are really nice but I'm sure most people watching don't have that kind of money to dish out. Would love to see more attainable builds from average middle class people.
I want to see what Josh builds!
Dig into our channel. We show a lot of straight up garage builds
This car could easily be done in a garage. Dude has to make good $ and sacrifices for that drivetrain though
That was not cheap!
Dudes got a keeper💯🙌🏾 That desert heat aint no joke.. all you got to rely on is the wind depending on how fast you going😂
Probably one of the coolest cars ever interviewed on the channel. How fun!!!
Simply amazing!!!
Sweet build I like the fact that it's a total sleeper!!!
Man love this build
That's sick!
Scary Car !!!! Awesome !!!!
Ayy up Shaun the car is epic cannot wait to see it finished
Great looking car from factory, with great updates!
That's bad ass!!!
Yes it is
Great car!! Love the patina...😊
This is 1000% sleeper. I would like to see the faces of people who lost race with him. Nice build. Greetings
"I get it brotha" what a legend.
I’m doing a 1965 cutlass now. Single turbo ls. Can’t wait.
I’m almost through the video, sitting at a red light , biggest smile on my face as Shawn’s face is just killin me lol
Love it ….awesome build .
Awesome buddy.... Next level fun 🤘👌
Back for Shawn’s ,ofs face..👍🏼🤙🏼
😮😊
And a bad ass chevelle,of course!💪🏼👍🏼
Lol! Got a few of them outta me
@@AutotopiaLA my favorite!
Love it!
😧🫨😧😳😳😳😳💀
❤️🥰👍🏼🤙🏼💪🏼
-and Fernando seems like a hella cool dude
You finely showed me A 67 Chevelle! It looks just like one I had about 15 years ago. I would take the chrome off the sides & put A SS hood on it. Of course I love the SS hood!
If you don’t have 2 turbos and a thousand horse these days you better not even show up to the party 🤣
Lol!
Unless you can hook esp from a dig
That’s a badass car.
Yeah mannnn don't forget we love them patina drivers just as much as the mint stuff ❤
I love this type of car - semi sleeper looking. But underneath its a beast.
This build reminds me of when I drove to LA to buy a turbocharger from Ak Miller back in 1979. He had a Mustang that he said would turn your hair white.
Radical! ✌
Thats a nice build. I would daily it for sure!
Awesome I love the old school I have a 1967 ford fairlane 500 all original I love it
Ohh yes, very cool 👍
Wow dude!
Yep. Badass!
WILD!!!
i gave the vid a thumbs up early on and then went to give it a second thumbs up during the burnout. beautiful car bro.
That’s right 🔥🔥
I enjoyed this episode. Chill owner 🚗
I hope to be able to meet you guys at LS fest East this weekend. Truly love your channel.
I swear i can smell the e85 from my living room.love the 67s
So pretty that color
YES!
This was good
This could be a Mad Max car! 😊
For me, French, 300BHP is already a powerfull engine and then, you have this monster! 😳
awesome :) i like how you look always scared when you're in the passenger seat lol. well done sir :)
Very cool ! I drive a 64 malibu.. stock steering wheel lol love it
Awesome!
Tuning in from Buffalo, New York.
FERNLSX is definitely a cool looking '67 Chevelle. It has a sleeper look to it but you can tell it's a BEAST!
Thats why I hit the button
SPLENDID
Nice chevelle 👍👍
Be careful that thing is a monster but nice love ❤️ the work young man
