If you’re talking about the summit where they blow the whistle, then there used to be a lot of stuff there. The area was originally covered in trees and shrubbery. They removed all of it so that people could see the locomotives blowing their whistles. There also used to be a small cabin in the middle of the loop. I’m unsure as to why they removed that, but it’s sadly no longer there.

Just yesterday. I had some spare time on my hands after leaving Dollywood and I was able to get the footage edited rather quickly.
This train was a huge let down. So much wasted space where you are looking at bare fields.
