Dang that mower on the edge of that forklift was making my palms a little sweaty lol
They had it chained down but…yeah agreed
In the first 30 second of the owner of the company speaking, I learned more about mulching kits than you can doing internet research.
Same here, I learned more in those 30 seconds than what my ex partner thought he knew about mulching, and he’s been mowing lawns for 16 years, this is my first year. SMH 🤦 hence the ex partner. 😂
@@Bluegrass-Lawncare-LLC Let me ask you this, how different are different brand zero turns on hills, wet damp grass ect..? I have a Husqvarna, but always wondered how different a Toro, Bad Boy, Ariens and so on differ.
@@spearlordcb honestly I don’t know. This is my first year and from the people I talked to that are in the business they all agreed on the stand behind for the best of all , traction , maneuverability and easy to get off and on . I have a gravely 48” stance and I love it.
That guy seems very knowledgeable about the product he is selling. I have no need for this type of equipment but it’s still good to see a professional give you a run down in his field of expertise. This lawns care business seems like honest hard work. Nothing but respect for your profession !!
Wow, thanks
agreed. Alot of serious thought gets put into professional lawn care and their businesses. I only hope to own a nice zero turn one day
I'm new in this industry, and I love to learn new things. A mulch kit was recommended, and I wanted a video to explain what it was, and to actually see a video of it in action. This was great information. Thank you, sir!
Love this channel and love Andy’s! Just picked up my first zero turn from them last week (radius s) and couldn’t be happier with the machine and the customer service!
Great to hear!
IMO, The main benefit for me when it comes to mulching is less mess, grass is not blowing everywhere and I can mow in both directions.
I love this. Awesome content and really helpful. Also shout out to the dealer willing to give explanation why it works the way it does
Yeah man! Good content. 👍
You will absolutely love that mulching kit. We run 2 mowers with the mulching kits and the others discharge for open properties or grass that is too high for mulching without repeated passes.
Shout out to Steven and all of his staff at Andy's Lawn Machinery in Savannah. They are hands down the best in the area for sales and service. 👍💯
Waiting for the follow up video.😃
Thanks for the info
Great video. I knew what mulching was, but I never really understood how it worked until seeing your video. Thanks
I love this type of content! It gives me a broader knowledge base to educate others and work more efficiently and productively. Thanks for the video!
Great to hear and more to come, thanks!
Enjoyed the information shown on this video. Glad you and Q work so fell in all you videos.
The lawns I cut tend to be 4.25" to 4.5" when I get to them. Lots of deep thick heavy Fescue and Bluegrass, some Ryegrass.
I have one 54'' deck with a mulch kit and wavey blades. It works best with a deck height of 3.75" to 4"
I have another with 54" deck with Gator mulching blades and chute block . It works when I need to cut at 3.25" to 3.5".
Both are mulching very well.
I love the way it works, how fast mulch everything, watching that yard been done so fast, I want that kit, excellent video
Thanks 👍
I’m sure you’re already planning it but I’d love to see a mulch kit cut vs side discharge as far as cut quality and the tallest grass you can cut with a mulch kit on vs off. Thanks again for taking the time to share this quality content.
Great suggestion!
I am planning on adding content on my CZcams channel about lawn mower repairs and lawn equipment questions that we encounter every day. This video has helped me realize how much info people are longing for.
Steven Best did pretty good talking. He didn’t say “and umm” at all🤪 Thanks Johnny for a great video. Everyone please subscribe to our channel also!
💯
Makes perfect sense on how he described how mulching works effectively. I own a JD S100 lawn tractor and I've used the 3-1 blades with the mulch plug, and I didn't mulch effectively. So I'm needling to purchase either some ridged or gator style mulching blades with the actual mulching kit insert.
Great video and yes come with more like that I've been cutting grass forever and had no clue that there's a separate mulch kit outside of the actual mulching blade
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for the info building my own right now and I needed to make sure I was doing it right that dealer really seems like a good businessman taking the time to be out there for you and help on the installation u don't really see that everyday
Glad I could help
Very good explanation from Stephen. I like the informative videos!
Thank you for posting this! I just installed mulch kits on my Gravleys 36’ & 48’. This was the first week mulching. The whole wk I wondered if I was doing the right thing. Kept thinking maybe the side plate would of been better, cheaper for sure. But after this video I know I’m A.O.K.!! Much Thanks!! Pop Smoke
Glad I could help!
Dude is right about the mulch kit I’m also a landscaper in the savanna area mulch kits make a big difference gives a cleaner cut and gives great quality coming from Blue River lawn care we Advise anyone even homeowners to do the mulch kit
THAT WAS GREAT INFORMATION BECAUSE I THOUGHT ALL U NEEDED WAS THE MULCHING BLADES....DEFINITELY APPRECIATE THAT INFORMATION...I WILL BE NEEDING THAT WHEN I GET TO THAT LEVEL!!!
😀👍
I thought the same ECL.
Thanks for that didn’t no about a mulch kit have to get one now thanks again Pop 💨 keep putting this good stuff out!!!
Glad to help
You learn something new every day. Blessings Johnny and Q❗😊👌
Thank you!
Love any videos on the exmark. I have been thinking about getting the mulch kit. Nice to see how it gets installed, I think I could do it myself! Please if y’all have time, can you do a follow up letting us know how you like it! Thanks guys. God Bless for Virginia
Thanks a lot. I’m just getting started and I love content like this. Subscribed
Awesome, thank you!
Beautiful content, dude! Keep up the good work. I definitely want to see more content like this. Great job!
Thanks! Will do!
I learn a lot by watching you guys. Good job.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video battle I needed to see this because I have been going back and forth if I wanted to pull the trigger on the mulch kit. I think I may need to go ahead and make the investment. Thanks again
Glad I could help
Love your work Brother's, keep up the Awesome work, this new content is excellent, really enjoy getting behind the scenes & extremely informative look at the crucial difference's between the kit that may very well take what is all ready top quality Lawn care to the Next Level.
Much appreciated!
What a great relationship. Great vid and teaching moment
Love the content and always keeping people informed on new ideas or technology. Like yo know how mulch kit workout and if you have to clean from under the deck alot. Have heard good and bad about mulch kit. Thanks!!!!
Glad you like it!
Great video man! My first ZT came with a mulch kit but I had so many issues with it that I ripped it out and just left the chute blocker on which did a good enough job for our lawns. Now I have the OCD on my Grandstand and Atomic mulching blades, which when combined with the X blade adapters from Ballard and a Hi lift blade produces an awesome mulch finish. Still need to get a proper plate made though as the OCD doesn't block everything as I'm sure you found with yours
Thanks for sharing 👍
I found your channel searching this title, and subscribed! Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice to see the passion and hustle
I remember the first time I used a mulching mower. I'll never go back to side discharge. With brand new blades it turns the grass to dust. Everything just looks so clean!
Thanks for sharing
Makes sense! Thanks for sharing the valuable information.
Man I’ve been binge watching your videos and have learned alot. Thank you!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Been in lawncare a long time never had that explained that clearly
makes sense. Thank you. Learned something new today.
Wow always Learning Something new when I watch your videos Thanks again pop💨💨
Glad to help
Great job on this one, I learned a lot. It was great that your dealer worked with you on the explanation. Keep up the good work, just turn down the music track a tad. I will be back. I bet it's tricky to sharpen that wavy blade!
Thanks, will do!
Ya won’t be disappointed! There’s an art to swing around though, depending on how much grass is still being chewed up underneath. With your experience I’m looking forward to seeing what you think.
😎👍
Love this kind of content. But anything you put out is good. Thanks again
I appreciate that!
Damn! I learned something today! Mahalo (Thank You) Johnny.... have a blessed day. Stay safe! Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽
Thank you very much!
Great video! Any knowledge shared is greatly appreciated!
You bet!
Good stuff. I’ve been doing it wrong for years now. Calling my dealer Monday.
Very good info-I was not aware of that detail. I thought the blades were sufficient. Thanks
Glad to help
Great video and this is why I like your channel. You usually do provide us with some new knowledge. I’m just a year into lawn care (I was a builder for 26 years), so I am trying to absorb as much as I can from different channels, so far your at the top of the list. Thanks for the lessons!
Wow. I’d be interested to see what a mulch kit does to fall leaves. I would also like to see how it handles taller grass.
Great stuff Johnny! We used mulch kits with baffles for years. We have recently adapted to seasonal mulching, mainly in the fall and winter for leaves. We side discharge with a selectable chute block in the summer months as of now. You should try those wavy style mulching blades in a side discharge application. I've learned they perform great and we use that style mulching blade all year regardless if it has baffles or not.
Great tip, I'll use them and make a video, Thanks!!
Awesome just bought one for z34 gravely
Lookin forward to seeing how clean the lawns look .
Thanks for the support!
Appreciate your content. I might have missed how you supported the suspended load. If it is just the fork truck keeping that elevated, please don’t ever go under a suspended load like that.
i was looking for this comment. i hang stuff from my loader arms and worked under it, then i saw what happens to cylinders when a hydraulic hose blows. NEVER work under anything unless it has some kind of mechanical lock.
Great demonstration!
Some good info here. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Glad it was helpful!
I've been using the mulch kits as far back as 2002 on a metro and Lazer Z HP, have yet to find a better mulch kit. Not sure about tall fescue but for our southern grasses (Bermuda, Zoysia) it works great.
Dude when i bought my 42" ariens this year i was so damn excited. A week later i installed the ballards advanced chute blocker so i dont blow grass all over houses and fences. $3500 well spent
😀Nice 👍
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare i bet you guys are excited too huh. That Exmark is a beauty brother 👌
@@cashen7384 New possibly new toy is always exciting!
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare definitely feels like christmas haha 👌 gotta stay on top of the competition right? 👍
Thanks starting my on business n u been a big help..
Very useful information I have a mulch kit on 1 of my mowers
Great!
Great explanation of the mulch kit!
Glad it was helpful!
Have mulch kit with hi-flo blades on 60" Timecutter HD works great, chops leaves in fall well , after every use its best to clean deck , If lawn is wet it can clog and stall you may have to cut at a higher level or cut more often. The cut is great but it has its limitations in heavy well watered lawns.
Love the content. Keep up the good work
Just installed mulching kit on my home riding mower. Glad i did. No more debris getting picked up into the atmosphere and wearing a mask
I just received a mulching kit from Badboy for my Magnum mz. I've heard conflicting stories about mulching kit results.I was hoping to see a kit in action before I install mine.
Best explanation I’ve heard yet. Thank you for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
Looking Good! Cant wait until you try it out
You and me both!
Good job as usual Ty 👍
thanks for that smoke...I was wanting to get one and hope to see you running it too see how it does
You bet👍
Q said pimp my ride boss !
😂👍
Damn. That’s exactly what I needed to know. Thanks !
Like this content...and the work that you guys do!!!
Thanks!
Thank you for your military service and what you do with and for you Channel
I like learning new stuff so Ima say yes to the content. Also you kinda gave it away with the new mower...Lol (congrats)
Thank you, I learned a lot.
I bought a mulching kit from toro for a Toro proline 48. it came with all the baffles and mulching blades and discharge blocking plate. question: it came with kickers that are angles pieces of metal. The problem is it requires drilling holes in my deck to install them which I am not a fan. Do I need them or can I get away with not installing them. Excellent video and you guys look extremely professional
Great video that's y I'm here to learn something I may not already no.
Glad to hear it
Thank you!
Great info , learned something helpful. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you guys!
Our pleasure!
Brilliant, I love your videos man ....
Not gonna lie, even owning a lawn care company, I’ve been a bit confused about this. This 100% cleared it up.
Great!
congrats on the new equipment!
🤔👍
Nice content, good explanation by Steven 👍
Thanks 👍
Great explanation, didn't know
Glad it was helpful!
That was really good content thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very informative !! Loved it.
Glad you liked it
That wave blade, you might be able to get ones that have gator teeth on the top too. Does a fairly decent job side discharging but obviously would be more effective with the mulch baffles.
😀👍
thanks i needed this!!
Happy to help!
Great answer very understandable
Glad you liked it
John, great content! Please tell us if you're happy with the performance/results of the mulching kit and why. God bless!
Will do
Thank you so much.. this helped out a lot...
Glad it helped!
Great video! Great content!
Really good to know... thanks J
Glad that that the content is helpful
Same here: I don't stripe, but I always install a mulch kit on my mowers, which are ExMarks! 👍👍👍
Good call!
Wish they still sold exmark in Oz. Toro is ok though.
Well explained.
I just had an Ah-Ha moment. Very informative information. Thanks a million.
What made you decide a sitdown unit over the standing unit we normally see you guys using?
Are there pros and cons to the two?
I have a Toro MX4250 and have been toying with the idea of a mulch kit. I think maybe just before our Summer I will look at purchasing a kit but at the moment the grass is so wet I have to be careful where I use the Zturn due to rutting. been using the push mower to save the ground, just takes longer.
I can clearly understand your dilema 👍
This is a cool video help me learn about this stuff
Awesome!
