Didn’t we learn this lesson with battlefield 4…? I feel like people who are now saying don’t preorder must be children bc it sounds like they missed the last 10 years
Just combine Battlefield 3 and 4 in a remaster, fuck it, sell it for $60. Battlefield fans will be happy to relive good gameplay, and new generations of players will get to see the best of Battlefield for the first time
They really must return to the faceless class system for the next game. It's what made it battlefield. And premium was such a player friendly business model that they'd only be scoring much needed points with fans if they do that instead of seasons. I truly think the battlefield ip is done for if they keep specialists and go down this road. If they dont get it together the only way i could see BF coming back is if they sell off the ip to a better managed studio.
Games like Squad and Hell Let Loose have taken over the "community" type games that battlefield used to be. Server browsers, custom servers etc. I don't see battlefield returning to the good ole days so I dont see myself buying battlefield again.
I think its gonna be a "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" scenario. Unless the initial reviews are glowing like bf1 then they will not even hit 50% of the peaks of bf2042. We have been fooled twice over bfv and 2042
The investors in question are all financial institutions running lightning fast trading algorithms based off of quarterly reports and headlines in legacy media. They don’t care about it so long EA’s balance sheet looks good. And if it doesn’t, EA will just liquidate their assets, killing more franchises. Battlefield is next on the chopping block as is DICE.
Battlefield and DICE are a pretty small fraction of their overall revenue makers at this point. Their sports franchises are making them loads of money which is all they really care about.
Remember how good the BF1 prologue was? Where you were a faceless soldier who was not expected to survive, and experienced the brutality of front line combat? Yeah we’re never getting that again are we?
Just remaster 3, the best memories I have are squadding up with the boys, finding a rush metro 24/7 server and just causing mayhem in the skinny locker hallway ❤️
Hadnt played a BF game since BF3. Jumping in to 2042 for the first time did not even feel like I was playing a game in the same franchise. That specialist thing was so terrible..
Battlefield, to it's fans, was quite so excellent because of the ways it _differed_ from CoD and other shooters. Emphasis of team/squad/co-op tactical play and of multi-discipline land/sea/air soldiering. Why would someone responsible for Call of Duty and Apex Legends be able to save Battlefield? He will do nothing other than further push BF to be more like kiddy-chaos CoD and the hero shooter and battle royale games, which is in large part what is wrong with BF5 and 2042.
Just because he helped make COD doesn’t mean he’s a one trick pony. The problem for knowing is the EA variable. They bastardize everything they touch, so even if he was spinning gold it could come out as crap.
I’ve been playing since bad company 2 (2010). I have a family now so I don’t play as much, but I still follow battlefield content hoping we can experience the glory days again. Back when I just felt like a regular soldier hitting the ground. No specialist or special gimmicks. I think many of us aren’t asking for a “deeper experience”. We just want to a bf game that gave us the same battlefield-soldier like experience from prior legendary games. Because this has area been lacking for nearly 10 years now, I will never preorder again.
There are so many new devs at the studio now, they're not even battlefield devs anymore. At this point battlefield will never hit like how it used too sadly enough its more apparent now with this info that they wont get they're act together anytime soon...
Honestly my hopes and expectations cannot possibly be any lower at this point. It’s unbelievable to me that, after all that has happened, they have the nerve to have him say that out loud for all of us to hear.
I thought Battlefront 1 was Dice’s last chance. I thought Battlefront 2 was Dice’s last chance. I thought Battlefield 5 was Dice’s last chance. I thought Battlefield 2042 was Dice’s last chance.
With the ceo saying players want a deeper experience, does he mean that players dont want to be tricked into paying for a game that is 6 months away from being playable?
I totally agree with the fact that in battlefield you should play a random soldier from a class, but i actually i enjoyed the BF1 pick-ups where you could turn to a super soldier for a short bit of time ! Maybe they could do a sort of thing like this or like heroes in SWBF2 that you can spawn as if you spend some points earned by doing well in the game. Same as reinforcements points but everyone could use these but special characters should be locked at one type per team such as in SWBF2 so you don't have 4 kenobies in each team
@@Themurseinme Yup. Was disappointed by BF5. Was dumbfounded by them doubling down on the mess with BF2042. Won't be doing it again (and I want to send the message to EA, but I know not enough people will have the moral fortitude to hold out).
Pre-ordering in 2024 should be a flat no no. AAA studios have ruined most things they touch, it's stupid people still pre-order when there's a severely high chance of the game being shit. Open Access indie games have the right idea allowing access for half the cost and somehow still being in better condition.
Grew up playing BF 2142 and even BF Vietnam... Yeah it's been that long. And as a long time fan, one of the worst things that they have changed in my opinion is replacing the class system with "Specialists". There is different reasons for that but I think alot of people can agree that the simple combat experience that BF3 and BF4 had was more than enough to make a really enjoyable gaming experience. All these gadgets and random new vehicles doesn't bring much to the table, it's the core combat gameplay that made the Battlefield series so good in the first place. I hope they realize that.
@@kevinmacleod5890 No the point was to make money. They want kids saying "Wow look at Mackays new skin! He's the best! Mom I need that skin!" Then they want all the skins...
Characters in Battlefield’s case belong in singleplayer. Having characters in multiplayer reduces the scale ie older BF games had you play just as a soldier without a background. This made the player feel like they’re fighting in a larger scale war. With characters, battles feel more isolated.
I am definitely done with a preorder of BF titles, after the last two release debacles, I will wait for the actual release of the game and then reviews to see if it is worth purchasing.

@ananomaloussmell5043 Nope, I saw how bugy it was on release and how many people were disappointed. The graphics are a huge downgrade compared to Battlefield V's graphics made with photogramitry. I also really didn't like how the ui looked. I never played it
@@ananomaloussmell5043wierd cope when noones playing this tripe
Dark, gritty, no neon colors, no specialists, 2001 era. That’s how you save the franchise
As a battlefield veteran it’s just plain insulting to see what they continue to do to my favorite series.
After the last two games, I have no hope
Just remaster bf3 and call it quits
I liked 5 it just had like zero content

Lesson learned... NEVER PREORDER!
This is getting old.
Didn’t we learn this lesson with battlefield 4…? I feel like people who are now saying don’t preorder must be children bc it sounds like they missed the last 10 years
already preorderd
@@agonefire What? BF4 was still good.
It took you over 10 years to learn that? 😂
It’s honestly sad that it isn’t hyperbolic to say that if they next game fails, dice might be axed
Just combine Battlefield 3 and 4 in a remaster, fuck it, sell it for $60.
Battlefield fans will be happy to relive good gameplay, and new generations of players will get to see the best of Battlefield for the first time
If they dare add specialists again, they won't get a single cent from me.
And live service model too
@@abdullahakhtar9824 RIP, Battlefield. At least we'll have the memories of when the franchise was great.
Your money is safe as they will.
DON’T PRE ORDER!
Agree.
We have been fooled twice over bfv and 2042
I have to admit, I have already been fooled twice. Maybe the 3rd time I will be smarter.
If they do specialists again, it's over.
2042 killed it for me, already gravitated towards older games, and Aread Breakout Infinite.
I don’t even know what to say anymore about what they have been doing to battlefield
If there are specialists again I won't be buying it.
I wish investors could see this CEO is costing them more money, than making them more money in the long run.
@@DIC_CEO i dont know anyone thats played fifa or madden since college

Remember how good the BF1 prologue was? Where you were a faceless soldier who was not expected to survive, and experienced the brutality of front line combat?
Yeah we’re never getting that again are we?
Just remaster 3, the best memories I have are squadding up with the boys, finding a rush metro 24/7 server and just causing mayhem in the skinny locker hallway ❤️
Hadnt played a BF game since BF3. Jumping in to 2042 for the first time did not even feel like I was playing a game in the same franchise. That specialist thing was so terrible..
Play Battlefield 1. Fantastic WW1 BF game.
I thought Vince Zampella was supposed to be the saving grace of BF. This makes me wonder.
@@Disposalist Certainly a valid point. Can’t say I disagree.
I've played BF since 2, I've long since moved on and haven't looked back.
DO NOT PREORDER. 2 failures in a row. Will they release another dud? It's very likely.
You can already see the stronk womynz on all the ads. Don't give them a penny.
CEO "They want a deeper and emersive experience"
Same CEO: lets can the entire single player studio.
Remember guys, “if you don’t like it, don’t buy it” or something like that
With the ceo saying players want a deeper experience, does he mean that players dont want to be tricked into paying for a game that is 6 months away from being playable?
No you’re not wrong, normal playback speed sounds like 50%
2042 was their last chance.... they already fumbled it
I think I’m Finnished indefinitely with the battlefield series.
Shroud had mentioned that the development team asked a ton of popular streamers and CZcamsrs about 2042 and listened to literally none of the feedback
Definitely not pre ordering the new battlefield
i don’t wanna be a main character i wanna be another grunt in a battlefield
Live service is just the tip of the iceberg. They need to address gameplay issues too.
As a Battlefield vet I'll see everyone in BFV until we know how this all goes, and most likely see you there after as well...
sounds like BF4 servers will be going strong for another 5 years
They'll shut them down so you buy their new woke crab (b = p).
This is definitely the last chance if they fumble I’m out
0% chance that I am pre-ordering. 2042 was my last chance, now I will wait and will have to be convinced to buy it.
@@Themurseinme Yup. Was disappointed by BF5. Was dumbfounded by them doubling down on the mess with BF2042.
I have zero hope BF6 will be anything like Battlefield, since they've gotten worse since BF1.
Struggled to get refunds for BF5 and BF2042. Won't be doing it again (and I want to send the message to EA, but I know not enough people will have the moral fortitude to hold out).
I’m already out
Nah bruh if you didn't learn from 2042 and BF5, idk where you are. BF5 was what should've been the wake-up call
if last chance means no bf at all after bf7 i dont agree. may be last chance to make a great game that makes a good profit.
I want BF3 All over again with updated graphics and bots! And then Seasoned DLC's Same maps and guns! just do it EA!
They knew specialists would kill the game, too. That was the point of doing it.
@@kevinmacleod5890 No the point was to make money. They want kids saying "Wow look at Mackays new skin! He's the best! Mom I need that skin!" Then they want all the skins...
They should make it cold war era
i still cant believe that they ended Battlefront 2 to work on BF2042. they need to get back to the quality of work they were doing from 2013 to 2018.
most of those devs that worked on those games are long gone.
@@Tuxedo512 yeah they left because of ea
I can’t believe how deaf the devs are, like how loudly do we have to say we DONT want characters? We want classes.
Honestly one of the biggest drawbacks for me is that aqua-green color all over the game. That crap makes my eyes hurt for some reason.
I honestly have 0 faith in battlefield at this point. Id be willing to bet this next game isn't going to be much better at all.
Characters in Battlefield’s case belong in singleplayer. Having characters in multiplayer reduces the scale ie older BF games had you play just as a soldier without a background. This made the player feel like they’re fighting in a larger scale war. With characters, battles feel more isolated.
They don't need "tonnes of studios" for the next title. That becomes a "too many chefs in the kitchen" scenario.
👍 those still playing BF4 in 2024
I'm not overconfident. I'm just better than everyone.
This gives me PTSD
Not a tremendous GAME, a tremendous LIVE SERVICE. Telling...
I am definitely done with a preorder of BF titles, after the last two release debacles, I will wait for the actual release of the game and then reviews to see if it is worth purchasing.
I totally switched from COD to BF in 2011, it was such a big part of my life and now it’s been 3 years since I’ve abandoned the BF franchise, makes me wonder if I’ll ever have a reason to return to it.
Imagine if they continued to focus on 'levelution' after Bf4. I feel like we could of got some crazy gameplay enhancements...
Juat wait 2 months after release. Then make a decision.
Just wait until they make it free because they don't have enough player count like they did with 2042 on steam and Xbox...don't give them any money
Everyone said last time was battlefields last chance, here we are again.
Thanks for presenting things as they are from a BF fan perspective @LevelCap, described exactly how most of us feel about the recent news
