You are my new Hero! Thank you for such detail - i bought a Dremel but instuctions so poor i was unable to work it! So now i can! May your house always be filled with love and security! 🥰👏👍
You sound like Dracula! LOL Based on my experience, I think you should use the lowest speed for plastics in order to prevent plastic from overheating and melting, resulting in a cleaner cut IMHO.
I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. czcams.com/users/postUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.
Thank you very much for your video. I could not remember how to use my dremel until I watched this. I just made the most awesome cat shelter in half the time it took me before. Blessings and thanks again, and thanks from the little feral cat who will benefit from your lesson.
As an experiment - I tried drilling with a Dremel as opposed to a cordless drill body (trigger grip style) or a pin vise. I found it a bit awkward and cumbersome - definitely not a task the Dremel is entirely suited to. I have been experimenting with cutting different plastics and materials with the Dremel. Be warned that some make a rancid smell if they more melt than cut.
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor i'm installing some 12v and usb ports in the back of my 4runner today. this looks like the perfect tool i just ordered a cordless dremel and plastic cutting tool and attachment, it looks like a lot of fun lolol
I liked the way it looked like you were cutting a hole in the box for something, maybe to fit an extra tool in there, and then it turned out that you were only using the plastic to make something else 😆
Haha Holy $#!t how have you still got fingers and thumbs?!? I was seriously having kittens watching that :-o but 100% thee best tutorials ever rough and ready lol
I wanted to know what would be a good small dremel tool that cut 5.31” cut out cricle for 6.5 150watt marine speaker on both plastic ammo box and plastic toolbox that not expensive for beginer ?
Any tips how to remove melted plastic from my Dremel diamond tip sanding burrs please, I used a diamond saw disc and small burrs to cut and smooth some hard plastic on a hard plastic figure I'm making modifications to and the plastic is the hard kind but not brittle, it melts when hot and has become moulded hard to my metal sanding burr tips and saw disc... Any ideas? 🤔 Thanks in advance 😊✌🏻
I know how to use a dremel tool to cut.... I really didn't need to watch this video but his voice is fun and cutting with a dremel is fun so I watched 🤷🏼♂️
Hi, I have to cut out an oval shape out of a pvc tube. If the tube is standing up straight I have to cut out the shape horizontally. The diameter of the tube is 20 centimeters. Do you think I can do that with a Dremel rotary tool?
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor But do you think it will look nice? I know I'll need to sand it anyway but do you think I can cut a nice, "straight" oval shape if I follow the lines that I'll draw on the tube?
I find that these tiny disks for rotary tools are utterly useless and break so easy. Just use a big boy cut off wheel on a angle grinder. These mini disks are pretty dangerous.
Thank you SO MUCH!
Your video instructions are clear and very easy to follow.
(Without any distracting music added!)
👍🏼👏🏼
Glad it helped! 👍😃
I'm a beginner using a rotary tool. I've found Your video very informative , and moral boosting. Thanks! .
You will be the Master in future.
Great to hear!

Thanks this was helpful
When I try using lower speeds my dremel starts jumping around and it gets almost impossible to get an accurate cut.
Definitely lower speed, maybe around 10k RPM and apply enough pressure so it doesn't skip around.
I think no $hits are given when he's working lol WoW

Thanks for the tips.

Thank you. Im confident I can cut neatly with a dremel now :)
Thanks you. Glad it helped.
HI. I support your career.
Yes I can see he is wearing the safety gloves.
Good
That's how I wear them
thanks for this . i watched it years ago . and just now again as a refresher! so thank you again !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your video gave me trust in myself.thks!
Glad to hear that
Hi Peter. I'm a new sub to your channel. Thank you for teaching me how to cut hard plastic using a dremel tool. Peace to you! 🤣🙆♀️🕊
👍🤠
Excellent job Peter! Please use Dremel Multitool to sand the edges a little bit!
You are Welcome. :-)
video helped me out thanks.

Glad I could help!
Dremel 575 right angle attachment makes this even more convenient.
👍😁
You sound like a player from GTA 5 and your work is good my friend nice custom fix.
👍 Thanks Sir.
Jesus Christ, you almost took your finger off at 6:40.
LMFAO
😂😂😂😂
HI.
I am pro.
This was a great video. I like that you explain everything.
I appreciate that!
Men has works tools woman has sewing machine and pattern, thanks for showing this tips
You’re welcome 😊
Use lower speed to cut plastic and don't press so hard... You'll wear out the disc...
Ok
Nice video. Could you please also explain how to make small slots in plastic? (say 3mm length and 0.5mm wide slot in 5mm thick plastic)

Hi is it okay to use sanding disk to cut plastic like ABS.
Yes

Awesome. This sounded like some covert project.
You are Welcome. :-)
I love you accent
Trapping the cable, like that, is a No-No - and it will not be waterproof. [IP44 requirement]
Great info to hear and Many Thanks. :-)
What about the chemicals that comes out from the plastic? I cut in a toy today with dremel for an art project and I was a bit concerned about that.
Work outside and with 3M mask
you can buy cheap plastic cutting-board made for food. It is much cheaper plastic material than replacing your toolbox for material
Good comment 👍

Hello, I read Your comment. Thanks. 👍😀
I would have re used the same hole, other then that nice job.

Hi and Thanks for feedback. :-)
ImisstheFührer Try the milwaukee discs on their rotary tool. Just as strong as my 4 1/2” angle grinder. i was pleasantly surprised...
mine kinda gets stuck but im also cutting through the equivliant of a rock XD
OK. Usually Dremel is weak with rock maining.😎
Looks like it is very hard to cut at the straight angle since the cutting wheel is so small so you always have a bit of an angle.
I bought right angle attachment - 575
Right 👍
its look really messy and plastic dust everywhere for such a simple cut,,,,,,
Yes, some things are messy
Gloves is necessary, just not in the video instruction. Lol
Thanks ! Good work.
Sorry brother, too much work. I would of just prepped up that piece of plastic on a vertical band saw, and much cleaner cut. But thanks for posting.
Thanks for the tip
Would have been alot easier to cut it on the other side
Thank You 👍😀
🙏❤
Thanks Sir. 😀
Hahàhha he keeps turning it up wfo
