I'm glad Mario doesn't make voice sounds when he jumps, lol. Just the right amount of voice not to get annoying. Game seems pretty fun with the Mario 2 and SMW mix.
@blue toad Well, the voices are properly balanced with the music and other sound effects so that it seems more natural and less annoying. I'm pretty sure the GBA remake of 2 had the voices way to loud (though I wouldn't know, as I haven't actually played it).
I remembered playing an older version or another fangame with the same name or something and hating it because of it's crappy level design but this look so much better!

It's made using Hello Mario Engine, there's no level editor for lost land but if you get Mario editor it runs on Hello Mario with some cool powerups like Acorn Suit and Cloud flower
I remember seeing an "All Powerups" of this game about a year back! There is SO MANY POWERUPS. Boomerang, Penguin, Propeller, Hammer, and so many more. Hope you enjoy the vast array of powerups!

This keeps happening to me! I'm gettin upset! George is gettin upset!"
This game looks really fun, there are so many powerups. All of these things added to this game are more reasons to add it to Super Mario Maker 3 if they end up making it.

I like it when Mario games have cool power ups. One time I was thinking of a power up and I thought of the spark flower. We have fire and ice so why not lightning. This flower will give you longer jumps (not higher longer like a long jump) and it would also give you speed and sparks that can defeat some enemies and stun others

I'm willing to bet that this game was made using the Hello Engine. It's a framework in Game Maker Studio that lets you build Mario games. It's chock-full of features from varying games, which this game seems to demonstrate, such as picking up and tossing SMB2 enemies, plus, Mario using his Super Mario Advance voice clips in this game is also a thing in the Hello engine. I messed with the Hello engine a while back, a lot of cool stuff has been made with it. Also, in regards to what fan-games you should play, there's a really great Super Mario World romhack called Mario's Amazing Adventure. I play a lot of SMW romahcks and it's my all-time favorite, you should definitely check it out.
I think I see this types of mario fangames on PC like a lot many years ago on Yoyo games before that site completely changed. It has the style of gameplay like this but they can probably make, change and add their own stuff I'm pretty sure. This game is probably made in Game Maker I think.
This is what we in the biz like to call "cool ideas, bad level design". It feels like so much was crammed into the game without regards for cohesive level layout. It's certainly got some cool things but nothing feels like it belongs.
