If you’re going to run .600 lift sure use the new support but also you should add roller rockers to the equation.
It's really kinda absurd that an engine released in 2017 doesn't have roller rockers from the factory. There's really no excuse for it.
Perfect opportunity to mention the shaft slaping on the rocker bolt , cause their tolerance is to great , thats where the most tick comes from , should have brought up rocker lockers or rockouts , im disappointed that you didnt , insted of mentioning a 10 dollar cure , now people are thinging they to drop a bunch of dollars on new rocker arm assembly's to cure their tick .
Merry Christmas Doc
You should have talked about roller rockers with that hi lift cam
I installed a pair of rocker lockers on my old 103 twin cam 2014 Roadking to rid the tapping noise.
Did you get positive results?
@@CHEVYK10 Yes the little man with the hammer trying to get out of my engine left.., yes it made the tapping go away. Great invention! Good luck!
Im suprised and disappointed he didnt mention rockouts or rocker lockers , i put them in mine , easy pezey , but thats the way harley will suck ya into spending big bucks insted on 10 bucks .
Thanks gentleman
Merry Christmas
@@CHEVYK10 Merry Christmas too!
Thanks for what most don’t discuss , that’s heavy duty , Merry Christmas Doc
Thanks Doc for keeping us in the HD loop! Merry Christmas to you and everyone at LowCountry Harley! 🇨🇦
Tell Harley to include these parts in the engine from the get go , maybe the tick will go away.
I have 27,000 miles on my 2000 road king , the rocker arm has .020 between the support on a cold engine . spec calls for a max of .025
Harley should build a better engine to support their prices.
Then nobody has a reason for the screamin eagle catalog
Always good info! Thanks, Doc...and Merry Christmas!
@2:06...had my gf inspect the shaft on my rocker arm; she said I shouldn't replace it!
Merry Christmas, Doc!
Always learning something new from your videos.
Hello Doc, do you recommend using these Screaming Eagle supports and Rockers with new Shafts with a Twin Cam with the Stage IV Tire Shredder Kit? If not and you replace the Bushings should you replace with new shafts as well Thanks
Thanks Doc, I have learned so much about Harleys from you. Please keep these great videos coming.
Thanks, will do!....Doc
Thanks Doc. Have a merry Christmas!
Your the Man Doc always valuable information.
Merry Christmas Doc
All the best from NZ
hey awesome video! Can you do a video about the new screamin eagle adjustable rocker arm supports for the milwaukee 8?? People claim it fixes the lifter tick on newer m8 motors
Merry Christmas, Doc. Another helpful video. Be well
most important part of his video speech..."put new parts w/new parts"
Love your videos! Very informative! Please keep them coming!!
Why aren't the original rocker supports this strong? Don't see that it'd cost any more. As usual, love the bike, hate the Factory.
You Rock DOC. You have a good Christmas and new year.
How do you feel about the rocker locker kits ??
More great service info Doc,,,thanks.
Merry Christmas Doc! 🎄
Doc Harley or John Maxwell? Who you got? Both are great! Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Okay ….. I know this video is old , but ; i’m noticing that the S.E. supports in your video are rounded on the push rod side , just like the stock ones . I’ve ordered and received and mine look as though the machining wasn’t finished , they are squared and are interfering with full rocker travel . Can I just clearance them ?
There should not be a need to modify….Doc
Thanks Doc.
Did any HD models come stock with these SE rocker supports? Thanks Daddy-0…
No….Doc
Most definitely should have roller rockers.
An annoying tick that's funny they've been there from day one told it's normal just keep riding till something blows up.
I really don't understand why these M8's don't have roller rockers from the factory.
That's an Engineering question....Doc
🇺🇸
Is this desmodromic?
Nah, that desmo tech is fifty years old.
Sounds expensive
Cheaper than losing a valve
Expensive if you take it to the shop.
Inexpensive if you do it yourself with the help of a 50$ factory service manual. I have done this all you need is patience & a torque wrench + gaskets
There’s not a fifty dollar manual now they are $130.00
