  • We’ve put together the best of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2021 (TS21). If you enjoyed the action-packed scenes of amphibious landings, urban assaults, and parachute drops - all set against the backdrop of Queensland’s coastline and regional towns - our final video is one to watch.
Held every two years, TS21 is the largest bilateral training activity between Australia and the United States. In addition, TS21 involves participating forces from Canada, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
The story of TS21 is one of mate-ship and resilience where partnering nations learn to work together in all situations, across all warfighting domains, but doesn’t end here. We’ll continue to train together, and look forward to seeing you again for Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023.

10 days at Tin Can Bay doing IET training. Pissed down rain the whole time we were out. Advanced infantry, Sgts course all got evacuated out except us because they couldn't get in to get us out. So 10 days of the same wet clothes and boots. My feet were full of holes. Our Cpl ended up with pneumonia. Never been so wet and cold in all my life. Copped a bomb when I handed my SLR back in as there was pitting in the barrel from being constantly wet. 😱 yep, great memories. Did get dropped off in a Huey. That still remains one of my favorite moments. Would do it all again in a heartbeat.

As a former infantry soldier, this was about as interesting as watching paint dry. Do better or stop

This is true.. The ADF has 80,000 personal with only 10,000 combat troops. We cant defend Australia with 10,000 people. New York city has more police then Australia has infantry. Our equipment is high tech but you still need boots on the ground.

2 years it takes for Australia to make a nuke. Taiwan and Japan are our canarys

You do realise nukes aren’t everything... conventional armies are always the first responders, if there is a nuke then everybody is screwed, plus Australia having nukes just makes us a bigger target.
