Exercise Brolga Run - Culminating Activity

- The Australian Army's 3rd Brigade deployed to the Townsville Field Training Area to conduct their second major training exercise for 2023, Exercise Brolga Run from 27th of April - 19th of May.
Over 1500 Townsville-based troops were put to the test to conduct stability, security and evacuation operations against a simulated enemy.
Exercise Brolga Run is the second of several training activities for 2023, as the 3rd Brigade prepares for Exercise Talisman Sabre with the US military and other partner forces later in the year.

The recruitment ads have nothing to do with the army and 100% to do with the soldiers personal life etc...

It’s so disappointing that our government thinks it’s acceptable to send our well trained men and women into combat in 50 year old ‘armoured’ personnel carriers. M113’s should be decommissioned immediately and replaced with modern IFV’s that provide acceptable standards of blast protection.
They are being replaced. Land 400 Phase 3 Infantry Fighting Vehicle program is currently awaiting a decision on which vehicle is to replace the M113. It will either be the Rheinmetall KF41 or the Hanwha Redback.
@@NaillLookingforaHammer if Land 400 goes ahead. Chances are the funding will be pulled to go towards submarines, frigates, missiles etc. The for me t needs to remember the implications of not funding Land 400 adequately
@peterryan4851 We don't deploy M113AS4 carriers in war zones.
They are for training purposes,
and used as training tools.
In Afghanistan, we deployed in Bushmasters in the frontlines.

All these weapons systems, all this training, all these honed skills... yet you can't protect us from our one true enemy..... our own corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. Sad really.
