Consider offering the 100 series AK rifles with Midwest furniture options from the factory. Would probably do well since a lot of people desire these builds! I definitely would have preferred to buy my 102 with this furniture!

I have the GF5 with the full alpha series in FDE…love it..put in a KNS adjustable gas piston. Honestly is one of my favorite rifles to shoot..and I have quite a few top end AR’s and still find myself picking her up.

I put slr rail and gas tube cover with a jmac grip and zhukov stock on my GF5. Probably my favorite rifle.

Just put the shorter alpha m-lok rail on my AK-P GF3 the other day its solid and would recommend to anyone that is considering one
Yall better make the GF5 available fully kitted out with Midwest Alpha furniture from the factory now… then drop in the AKT trigger and call it the PSAK-47 GF5 Sabre.

IIRC that depends on manuf. I dont truly know, but I'd bet it's not an issue on PSA AKs

The folding stock mechanism is the only real problem. The stock won't stay folded while slung because it doesn't lock in place. Also the top rail on the 10' rail has almost no pic rail space for tape switches. It's very limited

The knobs on the cheek rest will come off. MI needs to add retaining pins. Ask me how I know.
I'd never used a railed dust cover when side rails exist, and I've heard that the front MI rails become loose pretty quickly without using loctite.

YES PLEASE! And I doubt there will be any intellectual property disputes given the sanctions against Russian companies. PSA could easily snipe Zenitco's American customer base with reasonably well made derivative designs.
After watching this i popped onto Palmetto to see how much the furniture is. It's cool stuff but unless Midwest figures out how to bring the price down with bundling or something that's going to be a hard sell. You can buy a functioning rifle for what that whole set costs

Not a fan of the aluminum dust cover in terms of longevity. I prefer the version that keeps the original cover while mounting an optic separately.

If you get that Midwest rail check the screws holding the heat shield about every 500-1k rounds. They will rattle themselves lose.
That’s what loctite is for. Most of the time it’s not even necessary just torque to spec.

Yes loctite makes many different types of thread lock that works great. Brownell’s has many videos on this.

The Quality department needs addressed i just received a PSA AK9, when the bolt is closed on a round you can still see the tail end of the brass and the Bolt wiggles back and forth while closed, the hammer has a decent size dent in it not sure how it passed QA, I don’t want to bash them but I’ve been on a warranty claim for almost 2 weeks now and haven’t heard a peep , called customer service they noticed my photos and strongly advised me not to fire this firearm it’s extremely dangerous and has headspace issues… it frustrates me because I loved shooting this gun to now it’s sitting in my cabinet just waiting for me and they haven’t even considered the fact they sold me a gun that had a higher chance of exploding. Also light primer strikes every other mag at the time due to the hammer being damaged

Why don't you sell these AKs fully finished in the new furniture. It's 2024 and you're one heck of a manufacturer - what's the hold up. Offer them up in GF5. Or maybe set up a custom page where people can build the AK they want and you build it and ship it in 30 days?

I'm about to buy a PSA rifle, I've heard enough. From all my research into their stuff it seems like they are trying to arm as many people as they can with quality made weapons at a more than fair price. I respect that and I'm about to start supporting the effort. Jesus Loves You.
Christ is King!! PSA's ARs are amazing and well worth the money. Ignore the h8ers. Unfortunately, they cut corners with their AKs that really shouldn't be cut. No receiver dimpling and bolt problems means they will inevitably fall apart after 5,000-10,000 rounds.
Thought you were going to announce you were selling them this way... That would have made more sense.

If you like a +10lb rifle (without the optic), then the Midwest Industries Alpha series is the way to go. As for me, I sold the PSA AK that I put it on and I won't be buying anymore of that ridiculously heavy furniture. AK's are heavy enough without adding all that.
What optic is that on that AK? I just bought a PSA GF3 and I'm trying to figure out what optic to run on it.
Looks like a Vortex UH-1 holographic. I just run red dots on mine with RS Regulate or Midwest Industries side mounts. I run an Attero Arms red dot mount on my 105 though and really like that as well.

Please fix the riveting process for the rifles. I have the 103 premium from you guys and knowing the rivets are not done properly I find very concerning.

@@stevem4783 no but as a gunsmith who has experience with firearms for 5 years I can tell you the riveting process they did is not the correct way.
It’s good if you’re a civilian who doesn’t shoot much but if you are someone who does a lot of training those rivets will be a problem soon enough.
I’m not someone who dishes out hate 24/7 because I heavily appreciate their commitment to provide firearms that don’t cost outrageous prices but I also want to point out stuff that does need attention and the rivets are one of those.
