Serious Play: Design in Midcentury America (Part 2, TOPS)

On display May 5 - August 25, 2019, the Denver Art Museum's exhibition "Serious Play: Design in Midcentury America" explores the intersection between play and design in the 1950s and ’60s, delving into projects by more than 40 designers who demonstrated playfulness and whimsy within their creations for corporations, domestic interiors, and children.
Part 2, showcases an installation featuring twin screenings of the 1969 film Tops, tops from the Eames Office archives that Charles and Ray used in making the film, and an interactive area of new tops for visitors to spin.
