Love 💓
Danielle
I love how you said "that doesn't mean EVERYONE with disabilities doesn't need help" because there are WAY too many people who make those comments about how "they saw someone in a chair last week n THEY could do blah blah blah do why can't YOU" 😠😠😠😠😠 nothing infuriates me more honestly.
My dad daid the same thing n told me i "was milking it cos HE has SEEN Paralympians run a marathon with no legs" blah blah blah...
People with disabilities lile everyone else WITHOUT them are all individuals and UNIQUE in every way especially in their abilities and disabilities.
There are also WAYYYYY too many disabled people that think they have a right to speak for all disabled people when speaking about themselves or their own disabilities and how thet affect them.
For all these reasons and more i LOVE how you approach it all.
Im watching because I have spina bifida and type one diaistomatomyelia and am a single parent to 3 young kids n have for years now wanted to do a blog about our lives etc and am trying to pluck up the courage to do so and gain some information etc.
Thanks gor Sharing i wish you all the best ❤️
I like the comic style before and the reality after, we don't always need someone there, but it is nice to know there is, not all of us are that fortunate
That’s the way you move man I love the way you move♿️🧑🏻🦽👋👋👋
I am 71 and just recently into my first wheelchair. I find my expectations of myself are far more extensive of what I can actually accomplish due to chronic pain issues. This is demoralizing and self defeating at the same time.
Thx for sharing! ☺️
She is GORGEOUS
Love this! Thanks for showing us a glimpse into your day.
Thanks for watching and all your encouragement!
As Danielle's roommate in college, I will attest that she snoozes the alarm at least 4 times every morning :) and that we often considered hiding in our room during the 14th, 15th and 16th false fire alarm in our 100 year old dorm. But even more so, the only thing that she needed extra help with was getting upstairs in the old buildings that hadn't been quite updated for accessibility. I think we only dropped her once. Sorry about that Danielle!
Hahaha!! Such good memories Anna :) You probably know better than anyone what my morning routine was like.
@@daniellability lol I need more help then you apparently, but I have many disabilities and am strapped in a power chair.
I love this channel I’ve been in a wheelchair Since birth and you inspire me to be the best I can be you rock
Thank you so much!! I'm so glad that my videos inspire you! That means a lot to me.
Oh man, I would *love* a roll-in closet. (Not to mention a bathroom sink I can just roll under!)
LOL wish my bedroom had that many light switches, eh but I use a remote.
Can u do a video of what people think wheelchair users do vs what we actually do coz there is a lot of funny ones like people ask me do I sleep in my wheelchair
Love the new video!
Thank you so much!
it must have been so hard to keep a straight face while filming the "expectations" part of the video xD it cracked me up so much because I relate :P I was also born with spina bifida and use a wheelchair aswell.. and people usually dont expect me to be able to do a lot myself :P
It was definitely hard to keep a straight face! :) My sister and I were giggling so much lol
❤❤❤❤
good to see reality part 😊👍, no need to depend on anyone.
I definitely like to figure out how to do things for myself!
@@daniellability I think you too so fat, you needed diet to more free manuver your body
I've had my disability since birth and use a manual wheelchair for mobility. I manage my own day to day personal care and personal preference is for me to get dressed on my bed.
Me personally I just find that easier but thank you for sharing this. There's a lot of narrow minded people out there.
Aaajflssg
Aww gorgeous strong lady..
May be i have to make a video like this some day ..
Hello! I have Spina Bifida as well! And because of you I’ve been thinking about starting my own vlog channel! What did you have to do to get started?
Love to hear that! Just press record on your phone 😀 I film on my iPhone and use iMovie to edit.
@@daniellability good to know! I just see how many disabled vloggers there are with a bunch of subscribers and views and I love that! I want to educate people on the disability and show people what I can do even with being disabled!
How do you not have to brakes on on the chair when you get in?! Every time I've tried to get in with the brakes off I end up falling out!
Lots of practice 😄
The worst is when I have the brakes on, but the tires are a little low on air, so when I put my bodyweight on the chair (even though the brakes are on), the chair moves, and I go down!
Hi Danielle - just wondered if you've come across an American product called 'Pants-up easy' - worth googling? It looks like a very effective aid for wheelchair users to get their pants/jeans round their backside more easily, in or out of the chair... all the best John.
No, I haven't. Thanks so much for the recommendation! I'll check it out.
♿️👋👋👋👊🌎🤣🤣🤣 i’m in a wheelchair and I’m free man
Hey Daniell, I'm also spinal cord injury my level is d6, d7 and d8. I am suffering from last 5years. And I want to know about you. how you are happy in your life???
I'm so sorry that happened to you. Thanks for watching! I hope my videos are helpful for you.
@@daniellability can you give me your email

Please ma'am name those companies and organisations which hire and offer jobs to skilled disabled wheelchair user
Jane..alam..
i was also born with spina bifida mine is more lower
8 people fr watched this an was like "yeah dislike" like what lol
🤷🏻♀️ Lol
...maybe they thought it was unrealistic or came off as making fun of people that can't because many people not paralyzed can do things? It can be a touchy subject. I'm not agreeing with that per se, but just answering your question. It was definitely entertaining though.
What about bladder protection? I mean I know you can't show yourself using the toilet, but don't you have to get what I call "changed" in the morning?...
No offense Danielle. but no one 'expects' a paraplegic with full use and function of their arms and hands to be treated like a quadriplegic who can't move at all.
@@nitarao7268 why is that mean? I specifically didn't mean for it to come across as mean...I even said that. I'm sorry Danielle if you think the same...I honestly didn't mean for that to sound mean. Maybe I worded it wrong...but if a person has the ability to use their arms and hands...no one expects them to be carried and stuff. Maybe I said it wrong. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Nita.
@@nitarao7268 hey, no problem. I may have been in a 'not the nicest mood' and the internet today is almost impossible to tell body language and stuff...so I'm glad you brought it to my attention. Sometimes I can say things abruptly and it comes across the wrong way. You can't see my expressions or body language, right? So it was a good thing you alerted me to it.
@ Nita Rao, again, no problem...sorry if i came off rude. Thanks, we are a good team! PS, I get notifications, but cannot find your message here. I am assuming it was this one: 'Nita Rao Morgan Calvi no I am sorry for taking it the wrong way but you were actually right😀😀sorry again☹️☹️'
This video is good but it is very harmful for everyone who needs help
It's not meant to be harmful at all. My intention is to show that not all disabilities are the same and some require more assistance than others. Everyone is different, and people shouldn't assume that everyone needs the same level of care. I also hope it can be an encouragement to people who have disabilities who aren't sure if they can be independent or not.
This video is no means harmful, there are many disabled people like Danielle who can be totally Independent, I really relate to this video, I have been a wheelchair user all my life, I am now 50 years of age and I have brought up 3 children and lived a very full and Independent life, she did state at the beginning of the video that not everyone can be. I think this video is very well done. love it. thank you Danielle, and true saying "you can't please everyone"
What a waste of water.......
