"50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" by Paul Simon recorded live at Dizzy's Club in NYC Doug Wamble on guitar Sarah Gooch on drums Jayla Chee on bass Gregoire Märet on harmonica
The harmonica is a great twist on that song, and Doug’s guitar is always great to hear. ROCKIN THAT HAIR!😍 And THANK YOU for all of the hard work that goes into these few minutes you share with us!
Morgan puts her special talent on every song! She can sing any genre and Doug can play any style. I saw Morgan, Doug, Sarah with Spencer Murphy on bass two weeks ago. Great show !!!!!
I absolutely love this couple. Morgan your voice is sublime.... no music genre is out of bounds. You two should just do your thing...let the rest of us catch up💋💋❤️❤️
Exquisite work! I was at this show, it was a special one. The band killed, the setlist was a Valentines Day "all love songs" one night only, and Morgan was her usual spectacular!
For a hot moment, I thought Elvis Costello was on guitar! (But, It was just the way Doug Wamble was dressed!) Is this is REALLY only a guitar, bass, drums, harmonica, and vocal LIVE without a net??? Oh HELL YES!!! I'm so happy!
Morgan and Doug! I’m calling the cops! They’re gonna have to come and get you guys because this is too good! Doug is getting better and better? How’s that possible?🎸💯
That was great all around. The drumming is what made the original have such a unique sound, and this rhythm section is amazing in this arrangement. Sarah is killing it!
Holy jeepers! My m8 GWA! I queued this coz I dig Morgan - love her stuff! (and Paul Simon, of course).. But imagine my joy and surpruse when I discover you are playing on this toooo! Grégoire u da man! 😎🙌🏼 🎶🎶🎶🎶
@@danieldociu8430 Agreed. I feel like you either A) play the part or B) at least give it an homage. I think the rhythm section tried to “re-imagine” the feel and kudos for that-it just looked like the drummer was holding on for deal life and it sounded like a disjointed groove she learned right before the gig.
In my opinion another immaculate performance. Morgan James is certainly doing her part when a band of this caliber assembles to support her and collaborate with her. I wonder whether stiff brushes or a brush/stick combo were considered on drums. I liked everything I heard but as I recall (maybe l recall incorrectly) brush drumming was common, perhaps even prevalent in the "don't be too loud" arena. Certainly not meant as a criticism, more as a request for comment.
This woman can sing anything she wants, with or without musicians...she is simply great
So much funk and elegance in this performance. And that costume! It's structured but it definitely moves with our performer. Great job!
Sweet jazz! Didn't expect to hear a rendition of that song done like that, but you guys really pull it off!
The hair, that dress, your incredible voice; mercy Ms. James.
Just what I was about to say ;-)
Beautiful rendition and vocals, as usual Ms. James. ❤
I would like to add that the new hairstyle is perfect for a chanteuse ❤
Morgan & Doug are a musical powerhouse!!
🚀this is like visiting another planet for me. Morgan is always a pleasant surprise. And the band rocks, too.
The harmonica is a great twist on that song, and Doug’s guitar is always great to hear.
ROCKIN THAT HAIR!😍

Hadn't seen Morgan in awhile. Love the short hair!! Great performance!
Absolutely wonderful
One of my favorites by Paul Simon!
For a hot moment, I thought Elvis Costello was on guitar!

LIVE without a net??? Oh HELL YES!!!
I'm so happy!
Amazing vocals ❤
Perfect version. Perfect Morgan ❤
THANK YOU MORGAN JAMES AND CREW!
Morgan and Doug! I’m calling the cops! They’re gonna have to come and get you guys because this is too good! Doug is getting better and better? How’s that possible?🎸💯
Looking amazing in the new hair! The voice, what can I say ❤!
Morgan could sing the phone book and have a hit…what a voice!

Outstanding sonically, visually and musically.❤❤❤❤❤
Anyone notice the girl in the audience behind the guitar player, at one point she sent a txt to Tex she was leaving
I'm hoping she sees herself in this video and reevaluates her eyebrow choices - lol.
Killin it MJ.
SUPERB... Everything there
Love!
Morgan you are amazing...... This is wonderfull
What a band .....
got a wait for these folks to come back to BC Canada
Always a treat.
Well done, Morgan! The little girl running around Frazier Hall in the 80's has come a long way. Congratulations on your well earned success!!!
A great singer who we've enjoyed in person and on CZcams.
Magnifica 👑

Great vocals, great arrangement. Love it!
Very nice!
Unique approach. Very cooooool.
that was some sweet sweet drumming right there.
Eh…
That drumming was a trash can in a dumpster fire.
@@zep136 I don’t know if it was THAT bad…😂🤣 But I did NOT dig it.
It is a ballsy task to take on the drums for this piece after Gadd made it into one of the most iconic drum parts ever!

Amazing band and a great performance as usual from Morgan!
Increible. Me encanta. Que ritmo!
This show was unbelievable! The band was hot and Morgan lit up the audience with her choice of songs and that amazing voice!

Magnifizenz

Gooooch!
Every time that voice caresses a mic it’s Christmas time.
Saw her sing in May in Fredericksburg, she killed it!
She is must beautyful than ever... Amazing !!!
What a fine version of this song. Fine.

Wow
We love you Morgan...see you this September at Kent stage
The harmonica gives me Sesame Street vibes, lol. Great rendition.
Ooo... nice jazz rendition.
Dig those chops, people!
well done
Hmm 🤔 she missed the intro @ 0:44. Always sounding great / looking 🔥
I was wondering about that. She recovered well🎤
She has a different look every time. But her excellent voice and singing do not change !
That guitarist is so dope! I bet he does well with the ladies.
He has a tourniquet around his ring finger - he might not be available.
Miss you!
Super ..
