Adam is REALLY good, amazing. But Martel is in my opinion more Freddie than Adam. Queen (brian and roger) think that they had just one Freddie, and Adam is just a really good singer who joined them. That's why it's called Queen + Adam Lambert. They do not want another Freddie.

Vocally yes but Freddie was an amazing entertainer. Marc doesn't have that sparc that Freddie had. Freddie was really entertaining to watch and nothing will come close to him.

First and foremost, Freddie was the singer and an amazing singer at that. And, in fact, it's good that Marc is not trying to mimic Freddie's mannerisms because that would be fake and overdoing. One cannot try to replicate another person 100% without looking like a parody. Marc has his own performing style and that's what makes him authentic. And that's what Freddie was - authentic. It's authenticity and what you do with your voice that makes a singer great. That intangible thing (which some call feeling etc). There are lots of people with powerful voices, but very few true artists, because not everyone has the talent to use their powerful instrument and put their soul/feeling into it (i know, sounds cliche, but that's true)

10 out of 10 for the efforts the sound team put in to what was probably a small regional theatre. 1 out of 10 for the lighting tech. 11 out of 10 for what should always be considered the best live cover version of this complicated and internationally well known song. Awsome to say the very least...

phillip reed Entertainment is secondary to any singer. Had Freddie not had the voice he had, no amount of entertainment would do a thing. First and foremost, Freddie was the singer and an amazing singer at that.
And, in fact, it's good that Marc is not trying to mimic Freddie's mannerisms because that would be fake and overdoing. One cannot try to replicate another person 100% without looking like a parody.
Marc has his own performing style and that's what makes him authentic.
And that's what Freddie was - authentic. It's authenticity and what you do with your voice that makes a singer great. That intangible thing (which some call feeling etc).
There are lots of people with powerful voices, but very few true artists, because not everyone has the talent to use their powerful instrument and put their soul/feeling into it (i know, sounds cliche, but that's true)

Not quite impersonating when it is close to his natural voice. He just adds more voice inflections when doing Freddie.
If both Freddie and Marc auditioned for Queen first place, Marc would have an upper hand in my opinion.
