I think Dalton was underrated as Bond. He certainly looked the part and he had a drollness that came through as the Bond in the novels.
Agreed ... but I also enjoyed Lazenby's single outing. Not the strongest double aught, but I had recently discovered skiing and it had some severe skiing, iirc.

Huge problem was the scripts. Foe whatever reason they were some of the worst written. Dalton did a really good job with what he had.

One of the most underrated all-time beauties. I can't think of a better looking woman (though I'll spare you all my athletic bent on women that would cause me to veer in favor of unknown women, there y sticking to "traditional" feminine hotness). Not even other Bond girls can equal her; not even Brit Eklund in her painted-on bikini; not even the golden Miss Masters, nor Ursula, nor Michelle, nor Maud Adams, Barbara Bach WAS gorgeous though.

He’s most like the books, aye, but Daniel Craig was more than fine for film. He brought Dalton’s ruggedness and realism to the film (and it’s not his fault the final two films were poorly scripted).

I think you're right. And they do take 120 film so that's probably why she assumed that's what it would take. The other camera was a Polaroid Spectra which takes wire pictures than most other Polaroids. Gold disc on the front of a Polaroid Spectra is actually for Sonar Auto focus are there any unique innovation in photography.
I actually bought the photograph they used in this scene in a props auction last year! It's still holding up well after all these years. My wife can't understand why but it just reminds me of this movie and Dalton's run in general - underrated and ahead of his time
You have a forgery. My uncle worked on set for that movie and still has the photo to this day in his study along with various other props from other movies.

This was my 1st Bond film I watched. I liked it bcuz it was set in South FL where I'm from. Wayne Newton & Benicio Del Toro were great additions to the film. I personally like Timothy Dalton in Living Day Lights a bit better than License to Kill.
Living daylights was a fun quintessential bond film. Licence to Kill was too dark.

There is a gun nowadays that has the biometrics thing. I don't remember the name, but I think that's more of a gimmick than actually useful. This would only be useful in a chance of somebody taking the gun from you, but for home defense, the biometric check could take longer than you need, so this would only be used in guns used on the range, which means there will be zero moments when the biometrics will fail...

Dalton is one of my favorite Bonds It is so sad that he left the franchise because the lawsuit between the two companies took too long to resolve, so he didn't want to play James Bond anymore, he just gave up, since his contact was up and refused to resign it, he had a perfect Bond look.
So we got Pierce Brosnan who was great too

@@Pointman11111 Brosnan is good too, but did you know that Dalton and Brosnan were the choices at that time for the role and Dalton won over him? You see the company was after Dalton for years to play the Bond role because he had the looks, but he used to be refusing it because he was saying that he's too young, and when they finally got him, they ended up in a lawsuit, after living daylight and license to kill, and it run for 4 years so by the time they did ready for him to continue as Bond ,, he said no, so Brosnan got his role, because Dalton back out.
@@nemesisprime2993Actually Brosnan was given the role but couldn't get out of his contract for Remington Steele so it went to Dalton instead. It was down to one or the other. The irony being that after Dalton got it instead, Remington Steele was cancelled and Brosnan could have been Bond anyway.
But I think he was still too young looking for Bond and Dalton did a good job in the role despite all the legal complications in the end.
@@tconnolly9820 Nah it was Dalton who was too young, they want him a long time, but after the audition Dalton won over Brosnan, then he got the role and because of the lawsuit that went on for 4 years Dalton contract was up and they ask him to resigned but he said no, so Brosnan got it, this is how I know from the time, because I had more than one article with it.
Dalton and Carey made a good team. Craig, Dalton....and then everyone else.
The three of them were a perfect team, reminiscent of those old ITC series. Glamorous lead duo and the older expert off on adventures.

The bolt-action single-shot 222 is a very nice, accurate, and lethal rifle.

Well sorry, but no. The .222 has a much longer neck. These were either .220 (as claimed), the .222 Magnum OR the .220 Swift. But yes, all of them (including the much better known .223) are high velocity accurate lethal rounds.
That IS odd… the photograph contained some radio opaque paint and the x-rays reflected off something to be captured by the camera and film…

Dalton was for Bond what Daniel Craig became, however Dalton was ahead of his time in delivering it. He went for more grit and emotion than the silliness of Roger Moore. Brosnon continued with the silliness and then the studios realised due to Bourne Identity that people wanted more realism

dalton was my favorite bond before craig. i could see his undisguised naturalism even as a kid and it was far superior to all the previous bonds' stupid hammy overacting. the living daylights is still my personal favorite bond film.
