HOLY HAIR!!!
So many people that comment here that still think all fat equals bad. They need to get with the program.
To add to that. A lot of people think saturated fay is bad. No. It's actually necessary. It's al about the amount you take. You shoulnd't eat too much unsaturated fat too. And cholesterol is important for your health too.
Always good to see someone who loves his research and understands that building mass is not all about tearing yourself up in the gym. I have always adhered to your nutritional advice and have become healthier and stronger for it. Thanks a bunch and keep it up!
I like this video. Big thumbs up Mr. Stoppani. My friends have wondered for a long time and even argued with me about the health benefits of eggs when I told them to eat at least 2-3 eggs per day if you are training or even if you are not training. I told them that I eat 3-5 eggs every single day. They thought I was crazy and warned me about the cholesterol. I told them that they sound really funny and explained a little bit about what eggs actually contain and about the lie we are told about the cholesterol. Some believe and some don't.
I guess some people want to hold on to age old lies because they are imprinted so hard in their backbone. I just wish people would do their own study and not believe anybody or any school just because they are saying something is good or bad. Where is the common sense of using your own brain to investigate before believing. I personally believe that we must test everything and keep what is good. How do we do that? We search, ask, test and try and use our God given brain to do so. Stupidity is ignorance where I once lived myself. It's a place where one doesn't take responsibility that is given. It was a hard wakeup call, but I'm happy I'm not there anymore thanks to the Lord. Anyways.. great video.
Just had some (all organic of course) fried eggs with cayenne pepper, himalayan salt and black peppers with sauerkraut with carrot pieces, cottage cheese, tomatoes and cucumber, 2 slices of real wholegrain bread with real butter and some red jalopeno cheese, and 2 chicken fillets. People would say too much fat. Haha, they should see my lunch then, and still gaining muscle mass and healthier than ever compared to the times when I was afraid of all fat and was too skinny and probably mental disorder when looking in the mirror trying to think I look normal. I believe fat contributes to brain function as well balancing everything out. :)
The noninflammatory properties of egg yoke are priceless!
I am an endurance oriented athlete and really eggs make a huge difference in my training, recovery and gains.
I'm seeing good results. Just don't want to hurt my health. I'm 52. I'm eating 4 eggs every morning.
Are you still at it how about an update!!??

The cholesterol myth has NOTHING to do with "big pharma". We've known that dietary cholesterol doesn't elevate ldl cholesterol levels since the damn SEVENTIES. The first studies ever done on it (independant AND sponsored) showed this. As soon as the question was asked, we had the right answer. The only reason the myth persists that dietary cholesterol is a bad thing persists is because of deliberate lies and misrepresentation of facts by armchair experts, "health" blogs, vegan propaganda webshites, and hippies. Nothing to do with "big pharma". "Big pharma" isn't even a real thing unless you're a 12 year old conspiratard who lives on the internet

Thx doc very good video i learn a lot from it
When I came across the medical info and research on eggs for bodybuilding about 3 years ago, I was surprised because for years I had been told that whole eggs were dangerous due to cholesterol in the yolks. This is only true for individuals who already have high cholesterol. In fact, the yolks contain Vitamin K2 that helps keep the arteries flowing nicely. Since that time, I have been eating 6 to 8 eggs a day usually. Finally, I was able to put on muscle from my workouts. I also eat oatmeal, quinoa, and raw pumpkin seeds to get the Amino acid Leucine that is also found in egg yolks. The key protein for maintaining and building muscle. The incredible edible egg! And egg yolks contain Vitamin D3. Another big plus for the body and one's immune system.
I eat 10 eggs a day and my cholesterol is fine. Got my last checkup and all systems are working as they should! 10 eggs gives me about 900 calories and I only need 2600 for maintenance.
Hello +Jim Stoppani, thank you very much for your videos and advice. I always see her videos and I would like to ask you something that everyone seems to not agree. May I use raw egg with the shakes?
Thank you For the info.
Nice video Jim, You won't catch me eating "Harry's Pickled Eggs" though!
ive never seen a video of Jim from this far back. with h air, and a weird long sleeve stoner shirt. but i can dig it. thanks for the info man.
Hey Jim, I'd like to thank you for all your videos. I'm on my fourth week of your Shortcut to Shred program and I have gone stronger and leaner at the same time! Your nutrition tips are great and the only thing I find hard is to buy so many supplements ..here in Australia is not as cheap as US.. Which supplements are definitely ESSENTIAL and cannot be missed? Thank you
i eat 12 eggs a day and drink bourbon every night. I'm doing just great, fittest i have ever been. I work hard, train hard and have put on 20 kilos of mass since i first stepped in the gym a few years go. every body is different my friend

Jim your the man, just finished your STS program. Good gains. I follow your advise....thanks.. PS. Fo something with that wallpaper yo, looks like you live with your grandmother. Just sayin. But ur still the fitness guru bro.
Hey Jim...great videos...what do you suggest for those allergic to eggs?
I read somewhere that having more than 7 whole eggs per week, increases your chances of heart disease. I normally have 3 whole eggs per week. So one day, let's say, Monday, I have 1 whole egg with 3 egg whites. Then another day in the middle of the week Wednesday, or Thursday, I do the same and finish off my egg week consumption on Friday or Saturday. I also have oatmeal and sometimes grits along with my eggs. I also like to put cheese on top of my eggs, tastes so good.
I've been saying this for years that cholesterol from eggs is healthier and different from processed foods. But no one wants to believe. Now there is a detailed video to prove it. Thank you, Dr. Jim stoppani.
Not the biggest fan but I do eat 3 whole like you said I learned that on from the NewRulesof FitnessBook supercharged. That Yellow is where all the super nutrients are at never waste them.
So glad I found Dr. Stoppani on youtube. I never really bought any tips from other bodybuilders because they would mention bogus statements. Been a med student I understand everything he says and can finally agree with a gym icon on the internet. Only negative with high egg diet are the farts man.. they smell so bad. :D
Jim, I've been following your nutrition tips to the letter and I feel much better and less hungry as well, I've never missed my morning eggs now and the info here is golden. One question though, I've grown tired of scrambled eggs and even other ways of preparing them, for simplicity and time's sake, I started taking them (3 whites and 3 yolks) in a shake along with oatmeal and fruit plus honey. Is this as effective as eating them solid? what are the differences?
if i couldn't see the video and i didn't know your name. i'd think you were scooby :)
Agreed!!!
Hey Jim, I would like your advice as a PhD.
I read this article "Egg Yolk consumption & carotid plaque" Spence JD. It says egg yolks can exponentially increase carotid plaque when 3 or more egg yolks are eaten per week. I know the studies didn't take much factors into consideration (e.g. more diet info, exercise & waist circumference), but I wanted to your advice on why this does not apply to what you are saying. Is it because they only considered those at risk for cardiovascular disease?
jim knows his stuff, good on you mate
Jim knows how to give you heart disease. 3 whole eggs a day.
Whoa. Worst advice I've ever heard.
nutritionfacts.org/video/the-saturated-fat-studies-set-up-to-fail/
If anything I think watching his workout videos and how he trains is fine, he probably knows that much but diet should not be left up to him.
Zoom Zoom he has a PhD in workout physiology.. meaning he has a doctorate. He knows the inner workings of the body better than most.
Delmino Palermo PhD in workout physiology
"Jim Stoppani received his doctorate in exercise physiology with a minor in biochemistry from the University of Connecticut. Following graduation, he served as a postdoctoral research fellow in the prestigious John B. Pierce Laboratory and Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University School of Medicine, where he investigated the effects of exercise and diet on gene regulation in muscle tissue."
If you know anything about bio you know he has superior credentials on the topic. Also cholesterol causing heart disease is a myth. Our bodies use cholesterol as a raw ingredient for testosterone. You're welcome for the info
Hey Doc. Im a huge fan. I follow your advice religiously. I have braces and cannot eat apples what would you recommend as a pre workout source of carbs? What kind of softer fruit?
Also I have ecdysterone that I am going to supplement on soon, do you have any advice on if it'll make sense to stack it with beta alanine?
Dr. Stoppani, how soon before your workout do you suggest eating the eggs? What if one eats the eggs in the morning, and works out around 5 PM?
you are the best.
Hey Jim my name is Devon I wanted to know your thoughts on diabetics and supplementation when doing shortcut to shred
I like how he talks with one eye brow always raised
100% de acuerdo. agree
I eat up to 13 whole eggs a day, for years now, and I dont think anything is wrong with me, i checked myself at doctor about a year ago and everything was perfect... what do you think about that?
Ivan Banjanac I eat a dozen whole eggs everyday.
I ate 6 this morning and I'm eating 6 more right now. Sometimes I eat more than a dozen a day. They're my favorite source of protein.
Hi Doc, I was just wondering will you ever create a vegetarian program? I understand a lot of the proteins are in meats and poultry which cannot be found in veggies but I am sure there is something to be found in veggies that cannot be found in meats and such. A veggie Shortcut to Shred or something would be a great option for vegetarian folks out there. I had to get a fridge and am sneaking about all the meats and everything (my folks are pure veg). Cross your fingers!
Please answer.
Will boiling an egg for a certain amount of time remove or ruin the value of the egg in it or the protein, or not?
He scrambles 3 WHOLE eggs, along with 3 egg WHITES. Since 3 whole eggs have about 6 grams of protein each, and egg whites have 4, his prepared meal is a total of 30 grams of protein.
still good information.
I suspect that eating scrambled eggs leads to the ingestion of free radicals caused by the exposure of fragile lipids to high-heat oxidation (especially olive oil). I am sticking with boiled eggs to avoid this unintended consequence.
"Well...looks like I need some eggs"
PossessionofaDeity Vintage porn music starts.
I agree!
Hi Jim.i have a question,is there any problem if per day i eat 3 eggs but without yolks?
I should add them in a shake?
And is better after the workout or before?
Hey Jim, i started your workout routines on bodybuilding, com and in the pdf you suggest we eat loads of food ! Now i know that eating alot of healthy foods is important but i didnt only gain muscle, i gained some fat too. how come you have so much muscle mass but u still maintain your body fat low ? and another question - do you do cardio ? if yes can u suggest cardio exercises that dont burn muscle? Thanks man ur the best ;)
Hi Jim.
I have a question, i have scoliosis and my doctor told me not to do Dumbbell Row. Whit what exercise i could replace it? :D
Thanx anticipated
Some days I eat 10 eggs, others days about six and man I feel a huge difference in performance when running. It's amazing what cholesterol does in your body.
So would recommend eggs primarily at night or in the morning? Or maybe just consume them through out the day, like one for breakfast one for lunch, dinner and then as a bedtime snack?
Hey Jim I have been taking muscle milk light just recently because I just became lactose intolerant at 20. I've been mixing it with soy protein after my lifts. Muscle milk just goes down easy because of the no lactose content. Is there any other protein out there that would better suit me?
Hey Jim in one of your other posts you said not to eat eggs before workout since it doesn't absorb as quickly. I usually train in the morning so my preworkout meal is my breakfast. would you reccommend the eggs postworkout or later in the day as opposed to preworkout? I'm 6'2 190 43 years old. in good shape and pretty lean but want to add some size and definition and look lean and jacked. Thoughts?
Hey Jim. Does putting your eggs in a milk shake without cooking them is a good option if u don't have time?
Hi Jim,
I have an intolerance to egg. When I eat egg my stomach swells to a large size, I have no other symptoms from it but once I stop eating eggs it can take a month to go back to normal size. I was wondering if there is a good alternative or a way that I can reduce my reaction to eggs. Thanks.
Your voice sounds so much like Shawn Michaels. That's a complement.
Sir jim stoppani i search for the cancer and eggs connection and chicken arsenic so how will i build muscle if both were cancer causing foods or it's a fluke. how many years do you eat eggs and how many eggs per day thanks in advance for your reply
Would be great to hear a line about how this applies to female body building, too! I know we also have testosterone in our bodies, but does the fat-testosterone connection apply to women?
Is there any correlation between people that consume 3 eggs a day that follow a weight lifting program and those that consume more than 3 eggs a day while on a similar workout plan? Like if you eat more than 3 a day does it lead to even better results?
Awesome video, but I have a question. You say that scrambling 3 eggs is 30 grams of protein, but my egg carton says that each egg has 6 grams of protein, so 18 grams of protein for 3 eggs. Is there a certain type of egg you use that has more protein?
+Jim Stoppani I'm a 5'4" male and weigh about 165lbs (74kg) and on a calorie deficit of 1500 calories per day in order to lose 2.2lbs (1kg) per week. At the moment I have 2 whole eggs and 3-4 egg whites (usually from an egg white bottle) for breakfast cooked in coconut oil (extra fats). I'm trying to shred so for my size and physique would you recommend 2 or 3 whole eggs?
Still 3.
hey jim, is it true that lean cuts of steaks is only, or, moslty only protein?
ive been eating around 10 eggs per day for a couple years now, im 26 and fucking healthy fine!
you eat the yokes for all of those?
+Propane Daddy yea sometimes depending if i need the xtra calories. but when cutting i leave 2 or 3 yolks in.
I am reminded of Henry's Kitchen. Look it up.
Your videos have improved Saul Goodman hehe! :)
How about if we’re on statins for high cholesterol? Is it ok to consume 3 whole eggs a day?
I have had an egg allergy almost my whole life and I can’t consume them or else I break out in hives and my throat swells up to bad there’s no alternative
Love u Jim
How do you stand so much volume with that texture tho :
Hi Jim.
I wander can you build strong, healthy body without meat and dairy. I've read that the gladiators had 100% vegetarian diet and they have the reputation of great athletes. What is your opinion?
What's the song at the end?
so u mean consuming egg yolks is fine?..if yes how much to consume cause i have heard that consuming yellows can cause salmonella..im a 20yr old boy with decent muslce size and about to start your 12wk program...please help
Is anyone else confused by the nutrition for the 3 eggs and 3 egg whites. I thought that 30*4= 120 (calories for the protein) + 30*9= 270 (calories for the fat) would net close to 400 calories... Something I am missing?
I was disappointed the opinion of Cancer Research UK that there is no such thing as a superfood and according to this organisation, the term is a marketing tool.
Whereas I do not agree with the definition here, it is at least a definition and we have to start somewhere!
So what do you do if eggs make you vomit explosively? I don't know if it's an allergy or what, but I can't eat a straight up egg.
Paul Lueth Avoid them, and find another source of protein.
Easiest way to cook eggs is to steam them. 15 min with the timer.
Hi Jim, I would really appreciate if you answer my question because I am struggling to find an answer. In 2 days i will start your Program Shortcut to Shred at bb.com as it is stated in the website because i weigh exactly 180 lb. My problem is that i workout late at night because of my work, and i have maximum 1.5 hours after gym in order to have my protein shake and eat something and sleep. Is it recommended to miss the dinner and have the night time snack in 30 mins before sleeping? thank you.
