Wow that is awesome. What i like the most about this deck is that it does not alter the quest too much. It just randomizes specific encounters and makes them more dangeroes. And that with great heroquest style.

I am currently building a heroquest edition that uses all EU cards for everything, so I have sought out homebrewed solutions to get US edition content in the EU format. I was happy these cards were EU sized.
The card deck, that I purchased arrived today. It should have arrived between the 4th and the 17th Oktober so it came pretty early.đ
This has to be the best expansion for HeroQuest I've ever yet seen! đ€ Every card feels like it could have come with the original game, and the artwork is magnificent.

It is an instant hit with me; everything "feels" like HQ raw, it's just an easy buy and very accessible.
I am reviewing everything I can from this creator now.
This idea is great.
But to me, it is over powered, if applied to some of the expansions. I would suggest, Zargon/Morcar has to roll a red dice and only by chance he is allowed to draw a card from this deck. This will reduce the number of cards he is able to use.
3:41 you simply cannot use it in the current quest, but you don't discard it, neither you draw a new one. A "too smart" Morcar may choose to not include it in the deck BEFORE starting a quest which is featuring a Gargoyle. But drawing cards that you can NOT use is part of the game and the heroes also don't know what cards you are collecting in your hands ;)

Note: an easy solution to the gargoyle card is to just remove it from the deck if you are playing a scenario with a gargoyle.

These look really good. I donât know if Iâm just not seeing it, but what I would really like to buy from Etsy is a full set of ALL the USA cards (from the base game and all expansions) in the EU format. The USA rules are far superior than the EU ones and so I want to play my classic HQ using the US rules. Iâm having to print everything off myself from the internet and DIY everything, which is fine but Iâd much rather buy them from Etsy from someone who can create them to this standard.
I'm in the same boat, I love the EU format and it has the nice side effect of giving me more storage room >:)
So I can't recommend any one seller but having multiple sellers like HeroicAdventurers and ReproQuest at least gets one started on the process. I am certain there are more out there!
@@AshQuest Iâve found BigballoonsNL (they seem to sell balloons as well have HQ stuff đ). They have a lot of the US cards in EU format. But theyâre missing Monster Cards from the core game, which to me are key as all monsters just have 1 body point on the EU cards. And they seem quite expensive, especially when you factor in postage costs too.
From my understanding you can only draw the cards when there are no monsters on the board. But some cards actually require a monster on the board?
You collect the cards for the current quest and use them when you have the chance to do so.

I've always appreciated the various versions of these decks over the years, but have not yet created my own (despite multiple false starts). I have also seen these on Etsy previously. The two things that have kept me from snagging them; are that they are in the EU style, and that they (relevantly to the tone of old school HQ cards), utilize subjectively gender-biased verbiage. This makes perfect sense given the approach to emulate the older design aesthetic. Ideally, should the current "Global" style card decks be made available in the future, I'd appreciate seeing the wording on the cards rewritten in a more gender-neutral voice to better reflect the game's existing design approach. I'd definitely snag such should this be the case.
I am fully aware that artistic expression is subjective, and that even mentioning something of this nature could be touching a raw nerve for some, so I would that this comment is taken as a personal preference, given the possibility of an updated product, and not as an attack on, or an assumption of, the creator's intent. I dig the cards, the purpose behind them, and the fact that they exist at all. Kudos to Lestodante for making them available, and to you Ash for putting a spotlight on them.
