Klaus Meine is definitely one of the best voices in rock history. I have attended scores of concerts in my youth. And the Scorpions live had the clearest vocals of any band I saw ( and I saw almost all of the popular ones).

This is one of my all time favorite songs. I know you’re discussing the vocals and Klaus is absolutely great. But from a guitar perspective, Matthias does not get the credit he deserves. He and Rudy together quite the combo of catchy, memorable riffs and licks. Those harmony lead guitars are what made me want to learn to play guitar. It sings, those melodic lead lines are like singing vocals. Sends chills down my spine. I’m 51 , this song makes me feel like 15 again! Where has the time gone? Still a killer song. Scorpions are incredible live too! I would suggest Still Loving You for Klaus vocals.

Hi T, here are some other songs which I think highlight Klaus vocals, as well as just being more great Scorps tunes to check out: Lady Starlight, We’ll Burn the Sky, Holiday, Can’t Get Enough, Can’t Live Without You, Winds of Change, Send Me An Angel, Big City Nights, Coming Home, Rhythm of Love

They had a stereo system in one shop that fed music to the large speakers surrounding the area outside where there were tables and people could just relax and my buddy got them to play his cassette. Also, Meine had nodules on his vocal chords requiring surgery... his vocals on the last album before he had surgery (The "Animal Magnetism" album) demonstrates how awesome he was even with compromised vocal chords. To see what I'm saying check out "The Zoo" for some awesome, yet raspy vocals.

As a person who had the Scorps as my favorite band for ten years ( They are still number two, with Savatage number one,), I think the accent affects how people view Klaus’s vocals. Unlike other accents, the German accent is very strong and, I think it affects opinions about his voice. By the way, Klaus was at his best, vocally, on this album. He had just had surgery on his throat to remove nodules on his vocal chords before he recorded this album. He hasn’t had a problem since, as he learned different vocal techniques to alleviate any strain on his voice. The Scorps just did a residency in Las Vegas and Klaus is still going strong at 72. I’m glad you gave him some acknowledgement.

I don't care for the title of this, not only has Tasha done her own Scorpions reaction, but this
song has already been reacted to by T. I feel that this was a missed opportunity to pick a song
by them, that you haven't done before. People in the comments have put many great suggestions
for Scorpions songs, I think one of those would have been better than a repeat.

I bought an album of the Scorpians with the Berlin Philharmonic - amazing! Rock You Like a Hurricane and Winds of Change being played by the rock group and being accompanied by an orchestra - you have to see and hear it!!
