- In this video I review the all new Harley Davidson x350 and x500 motorcycles. both of these bikes were a lot of fun but I made sure to keep my opinion real and honest. In this video I go through a few basic specs and then go out and give you my honest thoughts and feelings as I ride. I start on the Harley Davidson x350 review first then I jump into the Harley Davidson x500 review second. Keep in mind these bikes are LAMs approved, is this the best lams approved bikes ? you tell me....

That's exactly right, they are pretty cool but unfortunately the competitors do have bigger lams bikes that people might go for. But good on harley for giving us something new !

Great vid Matt. Love Resurgence Gear jeans. Loved the enjoyment you had going through the corners. Kept up to the dirt bike easy on the 350. It was funny seeing the giant on the ant (350) haha. Great review!

Awsome review, think I should of waited now to get the missoz bike but I think hers is quicker, I think it's got a screaming eagle tune, definitely gets up and boogies. Great video bro and big ups to dad helping you out bro. Made an awsome video, definitely Raw AF.

Thanks guys well done. I have an 883 Iron 2017 the other half loves the 350 she is 50 kg and like 5”5 so perfect for it. What’s the go with the accessories could use a better seat down the road and a windscreen maybe 🤔

Great review Matt. Loved that the jeans are working out well for you & your Dad. Will actually be interesting to see what are more comfortable in the heat over time the Warriors or the Single Layer jeans. The warriors with the wick liner could help with breathability even though they are a bit thicker. So will be interesting over time when trying each others jeans on haha that sounds wrong haha on what's actually more cooler / more breathable. Also for standing / walking around though the single layer maybe better in the heat. Will be interesting feedback.
Loved the bike review, so good to see these Harley's for the learner market. Look like fun bikes in the corners.

@@Gnarly_Harley Thats great to hear that your aren't any hotter than normal. Look forward to seeing what you think of the Warriors also. A 650 would have been better, totally agree, NZ is still lams at 650 depending on the weight ratio I believe. I guess it depends on other countries as well for cc rating for lams? They have the 350, so would have been covered.
I like the 500. These are the bikes, the rider Academy courses use near me at my local Harley Davidson.

Well done pops. Even though there so called Harley's , I wouldn't choose either. But they will appeal to some market. Probably riding around London England I would say.

Cool little bikes, the 500 was def the winner for me, as a LAMS or learners bike it offers great value for money, if i was shorter and lighter the 350 would be a good option for a town bike. Either way great learner bikes, im sure we gave a few people a laugh as we passed them up the highway lol I mean your massive frame did look pretty funny on the little weapon. Also suprised how good the resurgence jeans were given it was hotter than Delta Goodrem on that day.

Hello Matt! For me it's the X500 too! More power! The cost for each motorbike is very reasonable! Both of these motorbikes will be perfect for the new rider too! One thing you didn't mention that is important is they both have inverted front forks with dual disk brakes! This is pretty impressive for motorbikes in this price range! My Breakout doesn't have the inverted front forks, but wish it did. I really liked that your Dad helped you out with your review too! Always great to watch the two of you sharing in something you both enjoy!!! You even got a plug in for the Resurgence jeans you two bought earlier! Overall... a very nice review of these two new Harley Davidson's! Wish we had your warm weather here in Oregon right about now! Oh... can you explain what LAM is for us Americans. LOL John...
The 500 is definitely the pick from everyone haha. Although there were some good points made that they should of made a 650 !!!
Mate in every review I miss so much information lol.... that's why I say I don't do the specy reviews because it's all on the harley website haha.

Just a tip my mate runs progressive front springs in his break out I have them in the front of my fat boy. BRILLIANT
I find the 350 very cool looking, reminiscent of the xr1200, so sad looks like they're not coming to Europe

I liked your review. I’m in New Zealand and have just bought the X500. As you I’ve noticed that the my butt notices it After a half hour of riding & my wrist starts tingling as well. Other than that I’m head over heels with the bike. Cheers Jim.

I've said it before, I'll say it once more. Harvey Danielson should have been making a 650 Learner bike. They would sell heaps more then 350s or 500s

Not sure the pricing in Australia because I haven’t been there for awhile but in the US you can purchase comparable (better) Honda’s or Kawasaki’s for 1/2 to 3/4’s the cost. Don’t think Harley is offering their Chinese bikes in the U.S.
By the way, love your weekly podcast.
Yeah there is definitely other options which I'd go over these, but I still think they are cool ! I think they should of just had a better crack at the street 500 and dominated the lams (cruiser) market.

If the 350 was in a vtwin i would buy it just coz it looks kool.

The most characterless / boring engine configuration you can get is a sub half litre parallel twin. And in the case of the x500 the Benelli is cheaper, has more ground clearance slightly more power and in my opinion looks better. I think Harley Oz have backed a looser here especially as they could have had the Hero X440.
I do agree with you, another big thing is most competitors is that market have 600s even 700s... why did they give us a 500... could definitely have been more competitive! Thanks for watching mate, also appreciate the feedback. 🧡🖤🤙

These are made in china mate, I don't know if that's a good thing or bad ? Haha everything seems to be made there now....
@@Gnarly_Harley It's a good thing. It's actually made by QJ Motor in China. QJ Motor manufactures Benelli and has collaboration with HD, MV Agusta and other brands. Supposed to be, the QJ Motor SRV300 should have been labelled as the HD Street 300. But for some reasons, QJ doesn't want exclusivity in US Market alone. SRV300 is selling well in asia and othe parts of Europe. The SRV300 and the SRV600 are the designs which made possible by QJ's collab with HD. :)
Another fact is that QJ Motor / Geely group of companies is one of the most important manufacturers in China. I own one here in our country. SRV300 made SRV400 engine. It's very reliable. It's very harley-ish in terms of riding experience.
So to answer the question again, it's a good thing because the manufacturing capabiltiy of QJ is so huge that they made ALMOST everything in-house. From frame to finish of the motorcycles. It's a good thing HD did collaboration with them.
Also, the SRV300 is available I think in North or Southern US. :)

@@Gnarly_Harley I gave an x350 a test ride a couple months ago & at 180cm tall I found the dimensions of the bike to be fine..but I think I’m at the upper limit of comfortable height for riding the bike.
Oh & on the flat the x350 runs out of puff at 145ish with maybe 1500rpm to spare.

Yes Indeed. I’m strongly considering getting an X350 to reduce the yearly kms I put on my Z900rs with commuting to work, & also for embarrassing sports bike riders up in the Twisties.
@Boolag01 that sounds like a smart decision to me mate. Z909rs is a beautiful bike ! I had a heap of fun in the twisties on the x350, so light and nimble! Hahaha that's awesome 👌
You can buy a lot of bigger 650cc bikes with far greater HP and torque for not much more then $11500.
Yeah that's very true, for around the 13 mark you've got the kawasaki ninja 650L and Yamaha's R7 or MT-07. I wish harley did a 650 or 700 lams like the competitors....

Yeah that's understandable, i do agree with you. the other competitors with 650s are around 13k and these are a little less.

That's fair enough, everyone likes different styles. I think the 500 looks kind of cool like retro sort of.
But they definitely should of made a 650 to compete with everyone else.
The 650s obviously cost more so the 500 is in its own price brackets and the 350 cost more than its 300/400 competitors so I see what you're saying !
