The end of an era... What a ride. TWD will be one of the best shows ever created.
It already is
For sure, I gonna be lost without it I grew up on twd will miss it so much now its over
@@levijc3581 for sure
I grew up with it ittl always be special to me
Without the season 7 and 8
After that final scene with Daryl riding away, this music will always make me cry
me too
I'm crying right now listening to this music, it's sad, melancholy and mysterious but at the same time I find it beautiful 'cause it remembers me how beautiful was the finale episode. Extremely sad but amazing, the looks of Judith and Daryl, see Rick again, Michonne looking for him... Daryl saying "I love you" for the first time to Carol, Rosita's death that I find very sad, but i also see that like the peace after the storm, with her beautiful face. The scene with Daryl riding made me sobbing because it represents a new beginning, but after the end of something exceptional. I loved this show with all myself, I will never forget what it represents to me.
So emotional
@@amanda_76yeah daryl was great to fit with every scene. He is something i just want to cry for him.
His face always shows loyalty an love for his family.
Bigbaldhead you rock. 4:36
Eu amei tmb
That echo sound at 4:44 is my favorite part of this entire song
It reminds me of Talon's singing in Ocarina of Time
El mío también 😢 solo vine por esa parte algun día todos se encontrarán en la serie los que quedan 😢
it reminds me silent hill 2 theme of laura
Esa parte es lo mejor del soundtrack
that little final moment of the song is everything 😢😢😢
The vocals and the whole piece are beautiful and perfect for the last episode 😢😢
The walking dead ended perfectly, literally, everyone got an ideal ending from Gabriel to opening the gates not locking them out, to Eugene becoming brave and being the last survivor from his group, to Daryl looking for his brother,Rick, to carol staying finally and not running away, to Ezekiel leading a city after his kingdom fell, to negan making up someway and living his life with his wife, to Maggie building towards a future, to the kids living safely and studying and enjoying life in a community, to Aaron living with Gracie, to Lydia finding love, to Jerry living an honest peaceful life, to Mercer living with princess as co governor.
Fantastic writing
i read this as "lydia finding love to jerry" and i was like wait what 🤣🤣🤣

Bear really crushed it. This was the best possible track to wrap up the walking dead. While it was happening it game me Brian Eno Ascent vibes from 28 days later. This was special. Daryll riding off on the bike. Grateful for this!
I thought it was a brian eno track at first.
Yesss! Especially at 4:40
and don't forget Sam Ewing. no one credits Sam Ewing for some reason. credit where credit is due.
@@sidolanters1394 This was a Bear McCreary piece tho, you can tell the difference. Definitely credit to Sam coz his music has been phenomenal and some of the best tracks of the season are his but this definitely sounds like one of Bear's pieces so he deserves the credit here.
It’s sad it’s not on Spotify
bro id just listen from 4:40 on repeat for hours
I must have listened to it about 20 times. It’s like all 12 years of the show condensed into one final beautiful moment 😢
@@captaincluster316 couldn’t have said it better
for real man, what a show.
absolute truth, i will played this song on piano (4:40)
Same here, that's what I've been doing
Man, this gets me in the feels at 4:40. Beautiful song to end such a heartbreaking era with.
I’m welling up listening to it. Damn I miss them all…
i agree i always cry 😢
What twd always nailed was its casting and its soundtrack

It's the last 30 seconds for me. Makes me nostalgic for something I've never had.
Same, like a nostalgia for a dream you had years ago😢
Started watching when I was 10. My dad wouldn’t let me watch it at first. He finally caved in. Now I’m 22. I grew up with this show. And I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that gave up on this masterpiece.
SAME!!1 I am 22 now, my dad thought it was too morbid, little did he know I was watching the episode on my WII
wii
@@igsfilmsupstate I love that! 😂 I used to watch clips on CZcams at first to try and piece it together!
@@GeorgeTGOfficial we so bad!
I only started watching when i turned 14, but I’m 23 now, and I thought to myself that I’ve been watching it for about 40% of my life. I might not have grown up with it, but I matured with it
It’s a shame this isn’t on Spotify
Daryl: I love you.
Carol: I love you, too.
I wanna cry hearing this soundtrack. Such an amazing journey for The Walking Dead.
Daryl is gonna return anyway so don’t worry 😂
I have watched TWD since I was in 5th grade. I am now a Senior in high school, not only am I graduating this year I got to graduate watching the end of my favorite show since I was a kid. I’m so grateful to have grown up with this show, end of an era❤
im in the exact same position as you, started in 5th and now i’m a senior, reading your comment made me realize how special it really is to have this show while growing up
Started when I was 10 and now I'm nearly 23 and done with college. It's weird having a show to grow up with this long. I will forever cherish this show, this world and it's characters.
Same but I started in 5th grade and now I’m a freshman.
Same exact place you’re in rn
Trust me when I say the real world is gonna be worse than the walking dead portrayed
One of the most beautiful, entrancing soundtracks from the show. Beautiful music with Daryl riding off into the distance, I cried. I truly hope we get to see Rick and Michonne reunite with their kids, Rick with Daryl and Carol. They all mean so much to me, as did the show. Thank you Walking Dead and cheers to another couple years of spinoffs if not another decade ❤
I'll never forget The Walking Dead
I couldn't ask for a better finale. The deaths were pretty damn tough, Daryl's send-off was perfection and like always, the music hit harder than Lucille and Glenn.
May The Walking Dead finally Rest In Peace...
But remember, for it to rest in peace, we gotta damage the brain…
It’s sad tho because if rick gets back in the spin off he won’t be able to see Daryl or most of his family
This song is so beautiful, I’ll miss this show so much.
i dont think ill ever hear a better soundtrack in my life
The fact that this is a callback to the shows earlier soundtracks specifically mercy of the living and more notably a return to compassion.
Just love it
Everyone saying: Started watching when I was 8
I started this show last year and watched the finale exactly a year after. I was having extremely hard time and this used to cheer me up every weekend and made me forget my problems. I cried at 4:40 as it reminded me the ending of the rough period and a feeling of escape this show provided for me.
It's not the best and it's far from perfect but it's close to my heart and the finale was great
Same here pal. It doesn’t matter when we started watching, it’s that we were here for the end.
I started this show back at November of 2019,so when I watch the show always reminds of that time when everything was normal and nothing wrong could happen
This just mean no adult watched the shows xD didn’t necessarily mean they started watch from 2012. I’m jokin.
I had to renew my Netflix subscription only for this show. Sadly 17-24th episodes of season 11 is not available on Netflix.
Still waiting for the music from the scenes where "we're the ones who lived" and stuff. loved the OST
The big, swelling feel when Rick got taken and violins at the very end when Judith said "we get to start over, we are the ones who live" made me cry. This show knows how to make you feel the little moments and make them mean everything.
@@mr.goodboi2780 Yes, its by far one of the best endings of a show i ever seen. I still remember the visions that Carl had for the future in 8x09 like with Negan and Judith and Rick and Michonne was old together. Hoping that gets shown in the new spin-offs
I need them to publish the finale score in its entirety. It's a masterpiece in itself.
czcams.com/video/afHXCQZzL9Q/video.html B.claimed has it up now. forgot to check his channel D:
Carl got his dream wish :)
People really aren't talking about Bear Mccarrey in the comments. Bear has been part of TWD music family for a LONG time. Probably since the beginning. This man has been a soundtrack in my life for the last 12 years. He was one of the BEST parts of this show because his music also tells a story in this universe. Thanks Bear your up there with Hans Zimmer for me. This song sounds like a final goodbye, but with remembering all the good times. I hope Bear will do ALL of the music for the spin offs as well. Thanks man cc
The music in the last few episodes was PHENOMENAL
"We are the ones who live" - The Walking dead. 2010-2022
I saved it up to make it last and watched the finale last night. 12 years since I started watching this, and much has happened in that time. You end up feeling strangely attached to people you don't really know. Kinda feels like saying farewell to your family when you've watched this many episodes over so many years.
The last part of music just hits
Been watching Twd for almost a decade and just woke up to the last episode , for some reason I started to tear up when the part come up " were the ones who live" this is a show that has grown with me , R.I.P to everyone we lost , BUT WERE THE ONES THAT LIVE💯😥

I finally watched the finale today and wow.. it was so good. I was so scared going into the last couple episodes but damn it did deliver! It really did the show justice!♥️ I'm never going to forget this show, one of the best to ever be created!
The best happy after 12 years of battles. The walking dead will remain in history and in our memories.
The walking dead will always be my Goated Series but its so sad to see it go away after 12 years, its been a very very long ride with you guys Remember we are the walking dead!!
This is the best music the show's every produced! Thank you for editing it as best as possible! I came searching for this. And here it is. This song will forever stick with me.
I can feel back in 2013 that was the year I discovered that this show exist
I'm rewatching twd and was on episode 3x6, and apparently a version of this song was playing in the background when Daryl finds Carol in the prison cell...
i’ve been watching this since i was 5 when it first came out 😢 now im 17 i’m going to miss this show, i’m going to miss having something to look forward to every sunday and every year, i’m going to miss the characters i’ll miss it all.
Spin offs to look forward too
How did you watch it at 5 years old, I was 14 when it came out and I had nightmares for years, there was something really eerie about the first season 😂
@@reekaren2609 idk man 😂 i was just never scared of stuff like this or gore, the only time i was scared was whenever i knew someone would die
Fantastic soundtrack.. The last half minute is the best I listen over a long time ago.
I started watching Walking Dead when I started College, it was already in its 6th season, but I caught up quick. 5 Years Later and its ended and it felt like an adventure following all these people, their loss and their hope.
Just imagine the last few minutes of the song plays and Daryl sees Rick that would've been awesome two brothers reuniting
New Journey you’ve earned a spot in the Random Shit I Play In the Car playlist.
Ok ok so the finale made me cry and I'm a 40 year old grown man. Been watching this since 2010 I was about 28/29 back when it first started. The ending with the flashbacks and when Rick talks about the people who have died and the ones he no longer sees made me have automatic flash backs over the years and I remembered people that have died in that time. Don't know what it was but there was a connection. It was a landmark series about survival that is second to none.
I lost a husband in 2013, son in 2021. How odd that a TV series became so connected to real life.
Absolutely agree. Might be strange to others to remember life experiences relating to the walking dead episodes, but this is our life and twd is a part of it in the end, and we will always remember where we were when certain things happened in twd and what was happening in our real lives at the time..thats just how powerful an effect twd had on us.
@@alabamagigi2218 so sorry for your loss
Through quite a few cons the show went through I’m so glad I stuck through till the end. Even the stuff I didn’t like it grew on me because I realized how amazing the characters, locations, some really great storylines were right there in front of us. Thank you to this great community(the true fans) We Are The Walking Dead!
cant get over this masterpiece man, come back here every couple weeks just to hear it..
Gabriels redeeming moment where he opens the gate and lets the commonwealth people in which mirrors his first scene where he locks his church and lets everyone outside die.
4:42
it's like something of nostalgic and that hits your heart

That hit hard bro, I'm sorry for your loss. Even after passing I'm sure she was with you watching along the way until the end.
Iconic show. Will never get tired of it. Thank you everyone for what you guys have done. Thank you. I watched it all 12 years. I'm 18, so you can imagine that it was a big part of my life. Thank you for the beautiful happy ending.
This song is perfect for the end of The walking dead, this song make peace
Every waking dead ending has the saddest yet happiest songs I swear. Even the games
The end of something beautiful. I'll always love the walking dead and I'm so glad I had the luxury of being there the night the final episode aired and heard this master piece
Daryl deserves a happy ending too, he's lost a lot of people he loved: Merle,Beth,Glenn,Leah... :(
Just like you said, it's not released anywhere. So, thanks mate 👍
My fav soundtrack for this final moment.
Ok...i have never cried over a series or a movie before but tbh i have cried like 30min nonstop when this episode was over i wish that this show could go on forever but all amazing things have to end at one point...righ...this show has been a part of me ever since and now i feel like a part of me is gone and sadly its finally time i let go🥺🥺😔😔
This music was absolutely beautiful. Still can't believe it's over. IMO everyone got an incredible ending in the show and I do look forward for what's to come in these spin offs. Especially the Rick and Michonne one. Almost been a week and I'm still tearing up over it lol.
I don't think a better melody could have been selected for this final chapter. Melancholy, sadness and hope in a single musical piece. A soundtrack jewel. My favorite series of all time... Thanks to all..!!!
this is the longest thing ive ever watched. for over a decade... and im glad sticking to the end. the development of those useless in early such like eugene, gabe are just soo good, and also negan. thanks AMC
just finished this series! wow.. man.... i m speechless...
my favourite part is 2:52 that violin just makes me want to cry.
The music in this finale has stayed with me......I keep hearing it in my head. It was just so breathtakingly beautiful. And then at other times it added to the terror of the moment happening on screen. But this section right here .....just perfect. Bear was Definitely at the top of his game for this
We are The Walking Dead
I loved that music and scene
Everybody was looking for this song lolll
Daryl put in so much work. He literally busted his ass through this entire show to save his family. He did so much to keep his family safe. A true warrior. On a side note, I was 10 years old when this show first premiered. I'm now 22 years old. I literally grew up with it. Watched it through my entire teenage years. It was kinda sad to see it come to an end. Especially with all the flashbacks of the characters with Rick's narration.
I can’t believe it's over after so many years. What a ride it has been. From the highs and lows in the show. From all the sad to joyful moments. To follow all the amazing characters as the survive in the world Being the last one in a friend group to watch it. It being the one thing me and my friends talking about. Speculating and being massive fans. To then sadly in the end watching it alone. Being the only one that stayed with the show. It being there since I was a teenager. To now when I'm an adult. It being thee during all the bad times and the good. It feels like saying goodbye to a old friend. And even if new shows will be released. I will forever miss this show. The main show. So thank you TWD for being the amazing show you were. Thsnk you for everything.
This music will bring so much memories in the future, I can already feel it.
It's been just a year, damn
I'm not gonna lie! I'm not gonna cry!!
The last part of the song hits my soul hard!!!
Love how a large part of this is basically a remix of “Mercy of the Living”
I was a scared 7-8 year old watch a zombie show with my dad to a 19 year year old the walking dead has meant so much to me its the only show (so far) to make me cry and this send-off was perfect daryl was the last man standing
World's best long series

They really knocked it out of the park with that score. This particular bit was so moving and beautiful. I can't wait to buy the soundtrack.
This may be the end of the show but it’s also the beginning of a new chapter. Can’t wait for the spin offs where michonne looks for rick, daryl looks for then both, and negan and maggie finally making up after many years of them being in a rivalry and trying to kill eachother
2 months later and I still can't get over the fact that TWD is done. 😭😭😭 I didn't want it to end it was a great show! But thank you :
Greg Nicetero for making us the walkers that our heroes killed along the way.
Bear McCreary for giving us this amazing music over the years.
Most importantly, Thank You Robert Kirkman For Giving Us This Masterpiece.
Most Importantly Thank You For These Amazing 12 Years Of Entertainment.
We Will Never Forget These Memories You Gave Us.
You Know Why? Because We Aren't Just The Walking Dead. We're The Ones Who Live.
Kinda sad that Scott gimple ruined it by unnecessarily killing off loads of characters and ruining the story but I was really good
@@ginj8134 I'll always still love though. From the first walker we saw, to the first person we met, to the final episode of the final season of TWD. what a journey it's been. Wow TWD was one of the greatest show ever created, from the cast to the graphics ,started this movie @27 now I’m 36 , I was praying for Rick rhymes to re unit with everyone but never did , cried a lot from season 1- the end, thanks TWD
I have to admit I didn't begin watching the show until near the end of season 7 but that was because I couldn't afford amc and well I didn't know what it was but I have one memory of it being on tv where it's the death of bob and from then on I loved this show because i knew i found something truly special, it has brought me wisdom and joy and great emotion it has to be one of if not the only tv shows that has brought me to a single tear and people can try and replicate zombie shows all they want but the walking dead was the original it layed the pavement for them and it will never be forgotten, Rosita was beautiful and that was so tragic.
