This was probably the best interview I've seen and heard on computer chips. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo communicated that the current chip issue stems from business decisions made over many years, prioritizing short-term profits over future planning. Intel is the leader in building US chip factories. Not sure why they’re not getting publicity for this. This is a national security issue, should be top priority for investors too.
Agree, In the USA, Intel is a leading company building computer chip factories. The company has significantly invested in expanding its semiconductor manufacturing capabilities, including new facilities in Ohio and Arizona. Other companies like TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) and Samsung have also announced plans to build or expand their chip manufacturing plants in the United States. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to strengthen domestic semiconductor production and reduce reliance on foreign sources.
I was a big fan for a long time but with the new 13th and 14th gen CPU oxidation I think it's the last nail in the coffin.
Cnbc hates intel
Intel can't do fab business. They can only design for themselves. Same thing with GF. You can't have semi fab in US because you can't get resources. No smart engineer's going to work 16 hr days everyday in US, in az regardless of the $. As a reference, japan started tsmc fab after the US and it's in production. tsmc in az isn't close...

If you don't mandate those big fabless chip companies( AMD, NVDA, QCOM) and those biggest electronic consumer companies like Apple buy US chips, no matter how many fabs you setup on the US, for one penny cheaper abroad, they will not buy US chips.
They will if you place tariffs on chips so squeeze the price and force them to buy from at home. All the USA does is outsource slave labor for more profits
TSM is one of the best managed companies in the world…said Warren Buffett. Did they steal the chips business from the US? I guess Guatemala farmers also stole the banana business from US farmers 😂
