    Don’t forget to top off your hydraulic/transaxle oil after filling those lines and the cylinder. It shouldn’t take much if it was topped off before you began the install.

    Slick little kit, buddy! Man, it would be nice to have a 1025!

      Such a handy little tractor! You’ll have to check it out if you make it over on your road trip.

    Hans, I had to re-adjust my fittings once or twice before I got the cylinder to move full travel without hitting the hitch frame. There isn’t any extra clearance so it requires a careful inspection of movement at full extension and retraction. Jim (p.s. I am nearly finished with my diy mower deck stand. I need to decide on a method of retaining the front elbow so that it is easy to install and remove but still secure while installed. I’ll send you some pictures once I get it finished.)

      Same here. There’s very little wiggle room for the cylinder fittings and hoses. Not impressed with that at all. Mine whole unit came in a couple of boxes with absolutely no directions at all. It was a head scratcher for a while trying to figure it all out. Got it done though and now it’s sitting idle waiting for snow.

      I have had to do the same. I keep a wrench in my little toolbox for this exact reason.

    Looks like a real slick setup Hans

      Thanks Matt! I would assume this is something you don’t need where you’re at.

    Interesting and nice set up. I always say my goal is to get a tractor with a front blade that power angles. Even though we don't get the big snows like we used to it sure is nice when you do need it.

      @TractorHoarders  Před rokem

      Absolutely! I use the heck out of mine here. Back where I was from in Ohio, they don’t really get too much anymore either. Power angle is awesome. I have a blade on the Gator too and prefer the tractor really just because of the precision of the controls and moving everything without having to get on and off.x

    Do you need any locktite thread locker on the fitting threads? How tight do they need to be?

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  Před rokem +1

      Probably not a bad idea to do some locktite. I’ve had them loosen up on a few of these hitches. I’m not sure on the torque spec. I try and make them very snug but yet stay cautious about stripping the threads.

    Great video Hans. That hydraulic cylinder look the same that’s used on my 1970 John Deere 140H3 for lifting and lowering the snow thrower and mowing deck.
    Did you have to check the hydraulic fluid to see if it was low.
    Have a good day Hans.

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  Před rokem +1

      Yeah, I wish I would have included that too. Definitely need to add a little bit of fluid afterwards. They have been using these cylinders for quite a while. Not surprised that you have one similar on your 140H3. That’s a really cool tractor to have by the way.

    You gave the part number for the kit you were installing but do you know the part numbers for the 54” blade and the quick hitch bracelet? I have had 2 deals tell me John Deere does not make those parts and one tried to tell me they don’t have a 54” blade for the 1025r.🤪
    Thanks
    Doug

      @TractorHoarders  Před rokem

      Doug... oh my gosh... that dealer sounds scary, haha! The Front Quick Hitch is BLV10708 and that is without the angling kit. 54 Front Blade is BM26015. And, I think you need the Quick Hitch mounting kit BLV10769. Good luck!

      I will see what I can come up with. I have seen several people including you Tractor time with Time, and Good works tractor all with that setup and I love it.
      Thanks again!
