He had a child and he look’s just like him and that’s what he really needed to become the Simon he is today and he even admitted that before he didn’t want any kid’s and he said now he knows what was missing from his life he’s a really cute little boy I’m happy for him because he was a grouchy person before can you imagine dating someone like that ? it would be really hard to make sure that you didn’t say anything to tick him off !!

He was never a vicious monster. He was blunt but honest. I always found his criticism of contestants aligned with my own at the time. As a person, he doesn't suffer fools easily but he has also been incredibly generous (without taking credit for it) to many in need. Anyway, no one who loves animals and children can be a horrible person.
and let's laugh pretty hard and long so I don't have to give an answer and skip to the next question.

I laughed so hard when Jimmy called him a vicious monster. I think it was mostly Simon's reaction. I love that he has a good sense of humor about that. I love that Simon has gone from being the antagonist that networks tried paint him as to someone that we all understand and appreciate.

People usually fail to understand when someone has done a job as long as these guys have and they have to endure hundred of unprofessional amateurs, they don't want to waste their time on talentless people who aren't good at what they're trying to do. We've always been able to see who Simon is in the way he treats people he knows are worth his time.

His life was not easy, he was nearly broke by the age of 30
He was badly bullied at school. His dad was an executive EMI music and got him a job in the mailroom.

Thing is, Simon KNOWS. He knows within 10 seconds if a performer has a scrap of talent. And he knows what works. He has learned to be less impatient.
His track record really speaks for itself too, look at how many people whose careers were jumpstarted because they got to audition for him. It's also always interesting when he stops an audition to ask for a change and it makes a huge difference.

He has the cutest laugh and the greatest smile. He has always been very charming and charismatic. I’m thankful he found love and fulfillment in becoming a dad. Having Eric to love and dote on has really brought out his heart and warmth. I’m very happy for him.

Simon was always sweet he just played a character…he was just making good reality tv. Everyone hated him but loved it at the same time.
Originally I didn’t like this man but after seeing an interview where he said be kind to animals and spoke about the things he’d like to see his child aspire to be I changed my feelings about him he’s a good man 👏👍‼️

The thing is with Simon Cowell when he started on TV about 20 years ago, people simply mistook his honesty for cruelty. He has a great eye and ear for picking out raw talent, he can spot it within 10-20 seconds of watching someone. That’s a very rare gift to have.

Simon is my HERO!! There is a difference between not being "Nice" and being MEAN. I knew a kid in the Theater Dept at USM who was so bad that the first time I heard him sing I thought he was joking. HE thought he was so good that, he sold everything he had and went off to Broadway, Crushing false dreams can be a KINDNESS.
You'd be surprised how hard it can be to tell someone who is convinced that they are talented, that they aren't. They will refuse to hear it.
Also every time I've heard him "Trash" someone, he was actually telling them exactly what was wrong with their performance, without any sugar coating.

Man I remember Simon ever since I was young, remember watching American Idol auditions back in the day, I used to think he was so mean lmaoo, but now I’m older I realize that Simon Freakin Cowell is Goated, Very honest just like I am and I can relate to that lmao, the contestants didn’t want to hear it. And I have seen a lot of change in Simon as well lol.

If you haven't watched the old American Idol auditions do yourself a favor. I've never been into those types of shows but I would always watch the auditions of the og Idol because Simon used to go IN on people it was hilarious 😂

Simon Cowell is a genius and a great mentor for young artists. Notice how he always pass on great advice and critique for every competent singer in his shows? That's a sign of him seeing something special. Adam Lambert came in and showed his talent immediately but. unlike the other judges, Simon told him exactly what he needed to do in order to become a complete artist. People mistake that for Simon being mean to people, but he is just behaving like an actual mentor and and teacher to these young people. Great guy who is great at his job

Great guest great interview
I find it hard to believe Simon didn’t know that they purposely picked bad singers for entertainment value. When my friend and I auditioned it was instantly clear. A girl at our hotel was just excruciatingly bad and kept getting through with my friend and ended up getting super far in the process and being on the televised auditions where she then was torn into by Simon. But if he didn’t know that makes a lot of sense.
Well if people want to go on their your asking for there true thoughts and it’s the family and friends who say they are good and let them do it so you can’t blame the show it’s the deluded people who think they can sing or what not
He definitely knows this. Reality TV isn't that real and many of those bad singers were blatantly bad 😂.
