DreamWorks franchises like Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, and Shrek are owned by Universal
Yep true!
Yeah Why he Said that in the video. There's not part of Paramount
@@xsaiahcagebellreturns2732They used to be owned by Paramount according to Wikipedia. So make of that what you will.
@@rayanvij3457 They distributed the movies but they weren’t owned by them
@@tannerp.4996 Armin is dumb, he spouts things but never researches them first.
Spiderman and TMNT both lives in New York city if we get crossover between them imagine
A crossover with Daredevil would make more sense since the chemical spill that blinded Matt gave rise to the Ninja Turtles!
Batman had animated crossovers with TMNT in so I can see something like that happening in the future.
Wouldn't be the first time. It's happened in the comics already.
Spider-Man, fighting with Optimus prime in the other Hasbro characters
They actually did team up in the comics
How about Spiderman teaming up with the power rangers and getting his own morpher
@@erianpeterson3431 the Japanese spiderman show would be a cool reference
Spiderman and Drake and Josh
Well Marvel did made the Transformers comics and the original TV show that tied into the toys so.
Get ready for a Shredder, April O'Neil, and a Krang spin offs.
Nope, bad idea
its Krang.... not crain.
Lol
Again you're gonna judge a company offer their rights issues with Spider-Man that they lent to Disney Look at the spider verse Animated movies playstation speaks for itself and their streaming shows are very good
i'd watch it
Please don't mess with the Sonic franchise!!
Yea I don’t think we need a fang the sniper movie
I Called It And I Was Right.
They Thought Universal Is Gonna Bought Paramount.
They Thought Warner Bros Is Gonna Bought Paramount.
But It Was Freaking Sony!!!
Sony doesn’t even know what to do with what they have.
Transformers, Spider-Man, Sonic, TMNT and MIB together will be something I never thought I see but I'll be happy (in case this will be happening)
Could we see a crossover film with Spider-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, GI Joe and Transformers?
No because for one Hasbro owns Transformers and gi Joe not paramount. And 2 teenage mutant will infringe with Marvel contract. They don't allow outside characters into any marvel property.
@@mareo187this is very true, the only exception would be a parody movie of sorts like Chip n Dale
man they better not mess up things at paramount sony doesn't know what their doing
Like I said "I'm not ready to see Captain Kirk having to save other Kirk's via the enterprise web lol they're going to kill star trek like they're doing with spider-man
Sony just wants to buy Paramount because they wanna keep those Spider-Man rights for as long as they could. If I was Paramount, I would NEVER be acquired by Sony.
What is it with Companies trying to buy out other companies. Is it really so hard to simply leave Paramount Pictures alone, Sony and Warner Bros.
I agree but WB needs to be done with, terrible business practices that have been happening over there and seem to not change for the better which is the big problem with them
The problem is that Paramount and Warner Bros are going bankrupt it they can't be bought or merged with someone else
Then Paramount will go out of business in a few years.
And have them demolish the great franchises paramount has, worse than what their doing to Spiderman?!!!!
No thanks.
It's big too because Sony was the only studio without streaming distribution
That's literally because they don't want it and think it's benefical to just sell their streaming rights to netflix, this will likely lead to Paramount + being shut down.
@@avidculeno sony will absorb paramount + with sony motion picture and sell it as a monthly streaming service
Sony owns Crunchyroll, dude.
Sony owns Sony Pictures Core & Funimation too
Please, no more mergers. The Disney Fox merger was an absolute mistake.
What no X-men, Deadpool Or FF😮
No it wasn't it was a very smart idea
So was the AT&t/Time Warner and the Discovery Inc/Warnermedia and the....
Well at least they got the X-Men back!
@@lexramstudios1386 That’s probably the only good thing that came out of it. And even then I liked the original fox X-Men films.
It will be harder for Disney to get spider man
You're about 3 weeks too late for April Foo------- wait... this is real?
Armin must of been close to tears here, i love it. Sony have made classics down the years(Ghostbusters, Spider-Man Trilogy, Groundhog Day, Bad Boys, Jumanji, Hellboy, Desperado, The Bridge On The River Kwai, helped make the Tom Holland Spidey movies), so i have no problem with them buying Paramount.
Bring the Ninja Turtles to the Spiderverse!
I just hope this means we get mirage turtles instead of the child friendly stuff we’ve been having.
We are getting an r rated last ronin movie
If FTC approve Sony buying out Paramount, FTC should change nationality from American to Japanese.
The FTC would approve it for one simple reason. Because Sony is in last place when it comes to the big 5 companies. The only things Sony would have to drop are any TV services, like CBS (because federal law prohibits foreign owned companies from owning TV services). So those would be sold off. Also Sony will likely sell Paramount Plus and put all of the streaming shows on Netflix.
Sony, please don't do this. Leave Sonic and Ninja Turtles alone.
No Sony don’t go messing up paramount!
Shredder and April o’Neil solo project incoming
A Shredder Solo movie would be dope tho, but with the way Sony’s track record has been going lately, 🤦🏿♂️
I think a Shredder solo movie was already talked about at Paramount at one point which could be made into something else under Sony
Makes sense considering what Amazon did for the Fallout series
Wait! Sony has....money!?
Remember Sony has PlayStation that's a money maker
People forget that Sony is like one of the biggest companies in Japan 😑
You guys know nothing Sony owns PlayStation which is one of the biggest Brands in the entire world they produce every camera on an iPhone and their television department has done a very good job of lately you guys are judging them off of a couple of bad Spider-Man movies
@@Rnerdy197 That's a different scale when compared to major movie studios, much less buying them.
@@LeonWagg Sony WAS one of Japan's biggest companies back in the 80s and 90s. But time has whittled them down.
Please let this happen. Paramount does nothing with the TMNT license but churn out kids movies/shows. I believe Sony would finally give us an adult version of the TMNT worthy of the IP.
wouldn't be surprise if they buy WB to.😂
Good, maybe they will have better Atmos tracks for movies!!
Hold on
Isn't Dreamworks owned by Universal and not Paramount ?🤔
I guess he mentioned the dreamworks franchises because paramount distributed the films. But yea, universal does own the rights to the dreamworks franchises
@marvelescobedo6153 that's true, since Universal doesn't have a VOD output
This won't change much if Sony can't get their act together to start producing better movies. Otherwise they're just gonna sink faster.
Hopefully this merger will strengthen physical media releases for these IP’s as well.
I'm concerned about what this means for psycal media.
😂😂
SONY as a partner to obtain Paramount (Global) will help for two reasons.
1: SONY would be the SOLE stakeholder in the Game Shows that they own.
2: SONY can operate multiple studios at once (Colombia & Tri-Star), Paramount would add to that success.
Monopolies should be illegal
First, learn what that word actually means. I'll give you an example: MS has full monopoly in the PC market.
Please, don't sell Paramount to any Japanese companies. Just sell it to American companies.
Japan Steel buying out US Steel.
Sony buying out Paramount???
If this doesn't stop, Japan would buy out America, someday.
Japan owns Spiderman, now they want to own SpongeBob? Wtf.
Man Sony can do a lot in film and gaming with Paramount IP.
NO paramount is in negotiation with skydance for a merger that have been takling for a few weeks already
Can't wait for the Laserbeak and Beebop spinoffs
Why do I have the feeling Sony is going to release their own streaming service
Wow if Sony actually pulls this off that would be let me see
Columbia
Tri-Star
Screen Gems
Left Bank Pictures
Crunchyroll
Paramount
all under their umbrella of influence
@@djparaense my bad. I thought they did.
While is indeed in the talks, I don’t they will acquire Paramount because 1. Paramount properties are too big for Sony to sustain themselves and Sony films and hardware department outside of gaming is dwindling hard. And 2 . When it comes to management for films, there films have been horrible for the 3 to 4 years straight. With horrible film management Paramount would be dead in the water
Don't know where they'll get the money but good 4 them they'll have Optimus & Spock now
Again, No! Let Paramount be a separate company it doesn't need to be bought by either WB or Sony
They need a big budget for the new Star trek movie and the transformers and G.i joe crossover that's way need to sell the paramount...
Sounds like A solid marriage
If it had to be me. Personally would go for Universal Studios. Due to distributing dreamwork shows, Mario associating with Illumination, games that associates Dreamworks and Nickelodeon both. But third-party wise between Paramount and Universal Studios. Mario and Sonic meet each other again since the 2020 Olympic Games other than Smash Bros. Because thats kind of the thing for me too is that Mario and Sonic are the biggest IP's but combine Mario, Sonic, Shrek, Spongebob, TMNT, Tranformers, and FNAF together. Its perfect. But i forget if Blumhouse is part of Universal Studios too. And thinking about it, since the dreamwork shows are distributed by Nickelodeon too. Other than the megamind mess. But with Sony, other than Spiderman that I'm familiar with. I just feel like Sonic Movie should merge with Mario Movie too
Spider-Man and TMNT team up!
Finally & EXCLUSIVE TMNT IP too. Via playstation exclusive ip too.
Transformers
Star trek etc.
I don't think it's right to say that Sony is somehow “fighting for its survival.” When people talk about Sony in the film industry, they seem to talk as if Sony is some small indie studio, but that's just not true. Sony Pictures might not be as big as Disney, but Sony Corporation, the parent company of Sony Pictures, is a gigantic Japanese conglomerate. Sony Corporation does have enough resources to keep their film division alive. If this deal goes through, it shows that Sony still commits to its film division even though it might not be as profitable as other Sony businesses like gaming or music.
Some company needs to buy Sony
Spiderman meets the ninja turtles.
How could Sony even afford to buy anything? Now they are going to have more IPs to destroy.
when its the only studio without a streaming service, they can get money from licensing
Hopefully we can get some games out of this
Oh Hell no!!! Sony & Paramount . I'm ready for This
It would make no sense, but Spiderman/Star Trek crossover please?!
🤔Ok let's see if they revived the Valiant cinematic universe with this.
Closer to Daredevil TMNT I can’t complain
I love how Spiderman is associated with Sony, though its Marvel and Disney, who are making those films, minus the animated Spiderman films.
Damn I did not expect that. But I guess Sony really doesn't have much besides Spider-Man, so this would help with that.
What this means for cbs studios which created paramount + and acquired networks like nickelodeon and Showtime mean for them or is this end of paramount plus or will Sony get it own hub on there app or what?
Sony Probably Spin them off
Get ready for Sonic vs Morbius Dawn of Madame Web. Paramount owns the movie and TV rights to Sonic.
I don't think this is a bad thing. Much better than the other option (Lionsgate?)
now there are 4.
What does this mean for avatar studios
Sony already has Columbia and TriStar Pictures under their belt now they want Paramount? and then theirs that whole drama with Helldivers 2 Sony seriously needs to chill out for a sec.
I'm surprised it's not disney they're trying to buy
If they did we would get so many crossovers like TMNT, Transformers, and Sonic crossover with Marvel and Star Trek crossover with Star Wars
This keeps up there will be nothing but Mega Corp monopolys...we need new competition to be added to the table...
wb will also eventually sell itself to disney or universal most likely.
Spiderman and Transformers crossover😎😎
Not the first time it's happen before in both marvel and idw comic
Well guess that last ronin movie for tmnt is ruined now. Thanks alot sony....
Why? Sony is releasing the R-rated Kraven the Hunter
@tannerp.4996 because its Sony. Kraven is r rated and Venom wasn't. I rest my case. Plus every time a big acquisition takes place, a ton of stuff gets canned.
Disney needs to buy Sony for Spiderman sake❤
You forgot the key word in this post... Sony HELPS buy Paramount. They aren't the primary owner
Yeah DEADLINE is talking about this!!
We need more Star Trek spinoffs
I mean... Sony could change into a good direction...
Oh, my sweet summer child...
@@kevrokka.d.9749 Why are you saying this?
They'll get Scream too?!
Sony?????? I dont want Sony controlling Star Trek.
awesome can’t wait for a morbius and transformers crossover.
Hey paramount doing just fine without them so highly doubt they buy them..hopfully
Yeah they got SpongeBob, TMNT, Sonic, Transformers, Star Trek, Halo, Paw Patrol, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Blue's Clues, Peppa Pig, Dora, South Park, etc making them a lot of money 🤑💰
Forgot that Nonsense about the Apple & Disney merger. That's never going to happen. The FTC is strongly regretting letting Disney buy Fox.
Jumping the gun just a tad here. They're in TALKS to buy Paramount. Paramount is currently in talks with another group AND investors have told the Paramount people to explore other options.
It may very well happen but it's not a slam dunk.
I really don't want Star Trek to end up at Sony.
With what money??? With the way they've been throwing it away im surprised they're not bankrupt by now
Maybe with their camera business, or gaming, or music, or electronics like tvs, or supplying smartphone sensors to other brands like Apple, hmmmm let me see 🤔🤔
....Wait, What?!
What will happend to Crunchyroll?
What happened to skydance ?
This means a Spider-Verse/TMNT Mutant Mayham crossover, which is bad 😅
We are screwed
Spider-Man and TMNT crossover someday?
Crazy
Please no the sonic movie franchise has been doing great from paramount don’t want Sony putting the franchise is in the gutter with having a spinoff movie on the dog.
Sonic and Spider-Man finally collab
You know, I think from a fans’s perspective this could work out to our advantage. Just think of it this way, the main reason as to why Sony has been so stubborn with giving Spider-Man back to Marvel is simply because he’s their best selling product. Sure they do have other IPs like Ghostbusters, Men in Black, a few PlayStation titles like uncharted and twisted metal ( and that’s pretty much about it) but Spider-Man is the one that makes them the most money, as we’ve seen evidently with MCU movies and the spider verse series, not to mention the PlayStation games. I remember hearing a little while back that if they don’t come out with a new Spider-Man movie, once a year, then Marvel would automatically get the film rights back, which is why we’ve been getting all these garbage spinoff movies. But with this potential merger with Paramount, which in turn has many great properties, including Sonic the hedgehog, Friday the 13th, (not too sure if they still have the right though) TMNT, Transformers, Power Rangers, G.I. Joe, Scream, Star Trek etc., they’ll have all these different properties that will make them just as much money combined. So that means Sony won’t just have Spider-Man anymore to keep them afloat, and therefore would have no problem with giving Spidey back to Marvel, because they would still have all these different IPs that could make them a good amount of money. So for those of you who might see this merger as a bad thing, this could end up being a huge blessing in disguise, plus we wouldn’t have to deal with stuff like Morbius and Madame web anymore 😁
1. Paramount isn’t involved with Power Rangers
2. Even if this happens, Sony would never give up Spider-Man
@@tannerp.4996 they’re not involved with Power Rangers? That’s funny I thought that since they were a part of nickelodeon, they had some kind of ownership over them. But in terms of Spider-Man, I think Sony will have to give up the rights eventually once they realize they can’t just be making all those spinoff films. And let’s not forget a lot of people were saying the exact same thing about Fox never giving up the X-Men in fantastic four and we all know how that turned out. My main point is never say never.
@@ultimatefanboy4060 1. Saban owned Power Rangers when they were on Nickelodeon. Hasbro owns them now.
2. The Fox situation isn’t the same. Marvel gained the rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four because Disney bought Fox. Unless Disney buys Sony, there is no scenario where Sony gives up Spider-Man. Spider-Man films make too much money for them to give it up.
Disneys waiting in the shadows for them to purchase Sony after they purchase paramount
spider man teaming up with Optimus prime and Michaelangelo. lord have mercy. I'm not ready for that. ha.
Sony gonna mess up more franchises
Morbius and Madame Web movies for Paramount. I'll bet they are excited. 😅
Great. Now we could have SONY handling Star Trek. Jusssst what we need. Not.
Sony has money?!!! WHAT! lol
Sony do NOT TOUCH STAR TREK: SNWs!
This merger’s definitely not going to happen as Sony Corporation has $8 Billion to spend while Paramont is worth $17 Billion (atleast when it comes to its catalog of assets) for them to make profit back they have to make profit back off of $35 billion which is currently impossible since they’re right now losing money more so than gaining
lol it's going to be a joint venture with Appollo
@@Cookiez1243still unlikely as this deal requires Sony and this firm to have an extra $10 billion in Cash plus has to make back $35 billion within a long term period of which Sony’s track Record of return profits are NOT that great currently
